Let's face it, nobody has time to dry clean everything and when a tag says "machine wash delicate, air dry", and I follow those directions, I expect it to be the same size and shape the next time I wear it. Sadly, more often than not, the tops shrink. Sizing up doesn't always work, as shrinkage isn't uniform or predictable. These clothes aren't cheap, so one expects better wear. Granted, I'm cheap and buy clearance, making it far less painful. Note: Staff are always a pleasure to encounter.

On arrival, there were a couple of gentlemen taking in a huge load that had been dropped off. As we pulled up, their faces fell. It turns out they'd been working on that drop for 3hrs - it looked like someone had dumped a dump truck of loose items on the lot. They were happy to see we only had 1 box, sealed and easy to carry- ha. The store is a bit untidy and filled with random things, sometimes things that should have just gone to the trash. Prices are low though and, while assisting the group home for teens, we were able to score some sweet deals on prom dresses. The girls got to look like princesses, even on their very limited budget. We couldn't have pulled it off without the Restore!

This is all fine and expected with most smaller thrift stores... HOWEVER, the last 3 visits there has been the rudest cashier I've come across in Minot. She yells at children, refuses to sell merchandise on the shelf because all of the sudden it belongs to her or some family member and talks about other customers to customers. I will say the tree skirts were thick and really well made, higher quality that I expected. The really fun part is finding the interesting food and drink options in the seasonal market. It's a new year which means all the nifty food gifts that were out for Christmas are 75% off, booyah! I stocked up last year for wine baskets for our wine group - this year, I stocked up for personal use as well. I scored tapenades, sauces, pestos, spices, crunchies, cookies & pastas. I'll use a good chunk of it for making charcuterie boards at bargain prices. The checkout staff was new and was in training. She did a great job and her floor coach was patient and friendly - yay My only real issue is the presentation of products being disorderly and items not being faced. It means a bit of wandering and picking through, but nothing too crazy. It might even be a bit thrilling.

I certainly don't like the mixing of religion and altruism. Pushing religion on others in times of need is exploitation. Some areas of the store were better than others. For example, they had a lot of clothing options. Their furniture selection was lacking and not that great. All of their merchandise overall seemed fairly low in quality, but it is a thrift store after all.

Not only do they actually have tractor supplies but they also carry an array of other supplies as well. From auto care to a full selection of tools and from equestrian items to live baby chicks, their inventory is larger than you might suspect. Their prices are a little higher than what you'd find at a Home Depot or Lowe's but nothing that will break the bank. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and don't mind stepping away from what they're doing to help a customer out. Additionally, they offer a rewards program, if you choose to subscribe. There are many aspects of this store that make it attractive. However, the one that I truly prefer is that it's the perfect place to find that highly scarce and unique item that your larger retailers don't carry.
