My wife and I stopped for dinner here after seeing a movie next door. We had a craving for Mexican food, and Chico's was the only place we could see nearby.
The positives: The decor was very pleasant, with what looked to be hand-painted Aztec or Mayan murals on one wall. The staff were very nice, polite, and attentive.
Unfortunately, the food itself left a lot to be desired. The burrito and chimichanga we ordered were warm at best, and almost devoid of meat, even though we ordered the beef versions. (We suspected that both were reheated store-bought versions.) The "Mexican" rice was white, dry, and unseasoned, with a few frozen vegetables thrown in.
The manager was very apologetic and wound up taking one of the entrees off the bill, but the overall experience was disappointing. I'd recommend avoiding this place until and unless they replace the chef. read more
