However, every time I visit this location, there's a problem that feels very much like discrimination. I visited the store on 9/5 to make an online return for some jeans they were too big. The cashier that took care of me was acting weird until I requested her name, then all of a sudden, she was really nice, great! I returned the jeans and ordered the smallest size the same day, as they were available online only. The jeans arrived, still too big. Went back the store on 9/12 to return them. This time my cashier was just as weird. She told me, I had already returned those jeans. I explained to her that there were two orders placed due to sizing, offered the order number for the newest one. She declined and continued telling me it was already returned. Finally, she went and got someone else. This person was ok, she found the order and completed my return. Afterwards, I browsed the store for a bit, and noticed the cashier so close behind me, I hardly had space to move. I was annoyed and taken aback. She was absolutely following me. I started to leave but thought, I spend a lot of money here that contributes to her salary and wasn't going to be made uncomfortable, so I continued to browse. I walked to the back and noticed she was there too with another associate. They tried to be discreet but I saw them staring. I'm disappointed that this is where we are in 2026 and with a woman of color, wearing a hijab, who likely faces discrimination too. Yes, I contacted corporate and will continue to do so, if Express doesn't fix this. No one wants to spend their money and deal with your ignorant employees acting like this.
