Roos was amazing, once my son got in the chair and the procedure started (and it was a long one) not a single tear was shed.

Shocking display of unprofessional behavior. Please Read to end! Dr. Kimberly Lang throws a fits…read moreand misses cavities!(possibly on purpose) My kids have been going to youthful smiles in Chico for years(approx10). We love the office set up but... the last time we went I think we got to see her true colors. My kids went for a routine visit. One kid had a loose tooth the other was visiting for the first time. We left the office thinking we were cavity free! (As usual) About 3 days after the visit, the tooth fell out and it had a substantial cavity that had been missed. The other child had a great first visit but Kim said they didn't need to get any x-rays (odd right). A few days after I noticed a black spot on the back tooth while brushing. I took my little back to her within 1 week. Kimberly looked and told me she didn't see anything. It was pretty obvious so I told her what I see and when she tried to look again, my little was getting fussy. We got him to open again(laying half in my lap and his head in Kim's lap)but when he wanted to sit up, they held him down. That was unacceptable to me so I intervened "that's enough" I said, and helped him sit up in my lap again. Dr. Kimberly Lang then slammed the dental tools down got up and stormed off. The assistants eyes got really big and she stared in the direction that Kim went. We sat there for a couple minutes and kim never came back. The assistant apologized, I paid and we left. After finding a new dentist (who took x-rays on first visit), they found problems. End story, my little has to get 2 baby root canals and another cavity filled. We are very good at flosing&brushing every day, we even use fluoride mouthwash. After asking around, Kimberly has had a history of throwing instruments across the room and getting frustrated when kids cry... why would you specialize in children's dentistry if you can't handle a natural response many of us have at the dentist?!

They send me a message back saying it's been confirmed, called me the next day while I was at work, and because I didn't answer sent me a message saying "Your appointment has been canceled, we require phone call verbal confirmations." So I called to get in the next day, I was scheduled at 4:40pm. EVERYBODY who checked in after my daughter went in before her. I checked the status of my daughter TWICE and was told "They are calling her back next". But three additional patients went back after asking this. Finally I hear the receptionist whisper to one of the dental assistants "Uh that patient is still out here" and they immediately took me back....90 MINUTES LATER. Clearly they forgot her. Unacceptable. I will not be taking my children back here. Amazes me that this place is still open and operating.

There was no when I brought him to the dentist chair. They didn't tell me anything to do. Besides the nurse. She said one thing to hold his arm she would hold his feet and the dentist person would put the mask and I told them I didn't do and it hurt my heart, but nobody said anything that just kept holding and then I started son to try to calm him down and he starts falling asleep and I start crying and then the dentist guy says something about us pushing him over a little bit so he doesn't fall off so he does and I'm crying still and either one of them had asked me if I was OK either one of them had tried to reassure me that you know he was fine or whatever the case may be he started breathing all heavy, and I asked him if it was normal for him to be breathing like that they just told me to go to the waiting room and didn't at all once comfort me. Try to inform me on anything that was going on. They just told me to go to the waiting room so I walk out to the waiting nurse doctors nobody stopped and asked if I'm OK I has to granted nobody is legally forced to ask anybody who is crying if they are OK but being in their line of work, knowing that my child put to sleep and then I it off for so long because I was so scared night literally had said that in my last appointment that I went to and that is a reason one of the reasons why I canceled because I was so scared but think that working in a business like that that's some serious stuff like comfort a mom if you see them crying and you know their being sedated you know let reassure them that their gonna be OK instead I waiting room for like three did I get an update about my son and I asked not once did anybody come out to tell me that he was doing good or this or that or no kind of communication with me whatsoever so three hours go they finally up to sign something and then they to come to the back and he's ready for me so I go all the way to the back and the dentist guy pulls the mask off and tells me to pick him up and carry him to the room across the hall and I got scared because he looked like he was halfway awake, but he wasn't his eyes were kinda open and he was like moving all crazy so it scarred is scaring me and then he still had his total things that controlled his pulse connected to his toe or foot or whatever it was, and it started beeping real fast and he started moving on crazy so the dentist guy pulls out his stethoscope and his neck for a good five minutes, not saying one word and I asked him multiple times if he was OK I started crying again and like he just kept making sure like checking back-and-forth back-and-forth on his neck and then it was just a horrible all out all the way around I pick them up after I get seven dentist listening to his I'm guessing on his I pick him up. He starts out, freaking out coming out of the anesthesia so like trying to pick out his face trying to get my hand to help him get whatever's in his mouth out and they just leave me and they don't tell me what to do. They don't show me what to do. They don't tell me what's going on or why he's acting like that and I can keep going on, but I'm pretty sure this is long enough so I will never ever of my children to by in Chico because how unprofessional they were how much they lack Communication to me how much I felt like I didn't have no choice, but to sit there and cry because none of the nurses none of were there to reassure me and let me know that my son was OK or this was going on no updates no nothing so please don't take your kids to if they're going under for anesthesia I have never ever been treated like that life I've never felt so sad and so my knocked out on anesthesia and not being able to help him knowing that there's doctors all around me and nobody tells me Sorry for such a long post.

IF YOU ARE A PATIENT AT YELLOWSTONE DENTISTRY I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU SEEK CARE SOMEWHERE ELSE…read moreAND IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BECOMING A NEW PAITENT WITH THIS DENTAL OFFICE, DON'T! I have had 6 month cleanings and checks up regularly with another office and had NEVER had any sort of dental problems, no pain, and no cavities. At my first dental visit in December 2024 they told me that I had a cavity. I was in complete shock but went ahead and had them fill it. It was tooth #18. This will be important later. I returned for a 6 month cleaning in June and then my most recent appointment December 29, 2025. At this appointment Dr. Lim looked at my x-rays and told me I had 3 cavities. He never once sat down and looked in my mouth or pointed out which teeth had cavities. I left in disbelief but later called to schedule the appointment to have the cavities filled and requested an oral sedative to take prior to my visit. It's simply an anxiety medication. I also had to pay my co-pay prior to my visit. Upon arrival to this appointment, I started questioning which teeth needed fillings and explaining to the gal who brought me to the chair that none of this was explained to me at my prior visit. She pointed out that #30, #14, and #18 needed fillings. Weird that #18 needed a filling, right? After about 10 minutes the gal and the dentist would no longer answer my questions, due to the fact that I "was on a sedative" and would not speak to my husband either. Let's face it, people take anxiety medications regularly all the time and can function and understand just fine. At this point the dentist decided that my appointment should be rescheduled and made it seem as if I was the one who was confused. Not in the slightest but thankful that this decision was made. I returned home and called another dental office to get a second opinion. I purposely did not tell this dentist what I was previously told, so that I could get a fair opinion. This dentist looked at my x-rays provided by Yellowstone and also looked in my mouth and poked every tooth. He confirmed that I had no cavities and that I had great oral hygiene. I called Yellowstone after leaving my second opinion appointment and requested a refund of my co-payment. I was told that they would call me back but of course they didn't. I've several more times but no one answers the phone. Still wondering if the "cavity" I had on my first visit in 2024 with Yellowstone was actually a cavity.

We received a second opinion and he only needed about $2500 worth. And we were told most things listed he were not needed. The doctor spent most of the visit discussing football and his daughter.
