Wesley Johnson is simply THE BEST. Since I first rolled into town in 2013, Wesley has been professional, honest and maintained a COMMON SENSE approach to car service and customer care. If I knew how to email the owner, a smart older lady I've seen that still works there, I would let her know how much I've appreciated Chick's Services and Wesley over the last 5 years. Not much worse than a day of car trouble on move-in day for your youngest child's first year of college. Nothing better than getting your car repaired at Chick's Services. No appointment, but the Manager Wesley Johnson understood our need as we were headed to UVA and just passing through Warrenton, Virginia. Wesley was great and understanding. As I waited for the car repairs to be completed, the number of customers that entered the shop that were called by their first name was heartwarming and reminded me of trues customer service. The long-time owner was wonderful as well and we chatted about UVA and the Nationals season woes. read more

These guys are THE BEST! I've stopped in a few times- they've topped off fluids FOR FREE, and they've checked the car out and told us to go to the dealer. FOR FREE! Chick's is the best thing that's happened to my car since I moved to Warrenton. Wes, the service manager, is incredibly trustworthy. He has never tried to upsell me on services I don't need, and even more important, has always fixed what was wrong for a great price and in no time at all. I've never had to wait more than 24 hours for an appointment, and he's always ready for me when I come in. It's SO GOOD to have a relationship with such a great business! read more

Like the other posters have stated, Chicks is not recommended. Bad service, slow and over priced.

First time there. Had a bad tire on my truck and needed it changed. So I just wanted to take that tire off and switch it to the rim with the spare and put the spare tire on the good rim. The guy in the office was super nice got me right in. And I told him if they wanted since my truck was going to be up on the lift they could change the oil to. They change the oil and then started to work on the tire and then the technician came in and asked me what I wanted to do with the bad tire he took off and I said just put it on the spare tire rim so that I could have some sort of spare, the office guy said the same thing, pretty straight forward. Well then the guy called his supervisor in and he turned around to me and said they drilled a hole in my tire to get the air out of it ?????? Recommended I go down to the used tire shop to get a new spare tire!!! So now I have no spare, and I realize the next day my truck (1.5 years old) was leaving puddles of oil everywhere I parked, so I had to go back and they said it was the drain plug gasket that was leaking. And to top it off the tire pressure monitoring system on my truck now does not work because he said it was broken I'm not sure if it was or not but it worked fine until I took it in there. First and last time they'll be working on my cars. I really want to support the local businesses but with this kind of first impression I just can't. read more

I have been to many service centers and dealerships over the years but since I've found Chick's I go there for everything. The work is always done well and in line with costs when I check online but the main reason I go back, send my grown kids there and recommend it to everyone is because of the trust factor. It's hard to find a mechanic you trust not to rip you off but here are two instances that gave me trust in Chick's. I ran off the road avoiding a deer and my front tire was buried in the dirt and hit a rock. The next day my tire was flat and the car felt a little strange when I drove it with my old spare. I took the flat tire and my car to Chick's and when I came back they told me my tire was ok, just had been pushed off the rim. They had cleaned out the dirt and fixed it but the mechanic said there was a slight bend on the front rim which was what I was feeling when I drove but he said it would be expensive to replace and if it was him he'd just leave it. Then when I asked how much I owed he said it was no charge! Another time my daughter brought her car in with a check engine light, they ran it through a diagnostic and figured out it just came on because the gas tank seal had lost pressure probably due to the lid not being put back on after fueling one time. They fixed that and reset the warning and again said no charge because it hadn't been much work. I have the one car, a job I have to get to and live paycheck to paycheck, they always work with me on getting my car in on my days off and back before I have to work. They never push extra work on me, have always given me fair and accurate estimates and help me break the labor up by priority whenever the cost is more than I can handle that month. Just took my car in this week, they fixed the problem quickly and also alerted me that my brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced and wouldn't pass inspection but that it could wait until then without more damage being done and they would honor the estimate of $267 for the front brakes and rotors whenever I brought my car back in. Getting a car fixed is frustrating but at least it feels better when you can trust the people doing the work and believe what they say. read more
