I had a GREAT experience at Chick's Barber Shop! I was greeted with a smile and they had a barber ready to cut my hair immediately. They have very cool barber chairs that were extremely comfortable. The barber shop was clean and following all COVID-19 precautions to keep customers safe. You will get everything you want from a barber shop experience and they will even touch up your eyebrows if you would like. They cut my hair exactly as I wanted and also did it fairly quickly. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Every one was pleasant and personable. I think I talked with the barber the entire time. If you don't want to talk much they also have a tv you can watch while you're getting your hair cut. For only $12 you can't beat it. Next time I'm in town I'll definitely be coming back to Chick's Barber Shop for another great hair cut! read more

I had to get my haircut and beard trim twice here, instead of my regular barber, because of my busy schedule. I will never return. While the barber was friendly, he had no clue how to properly cut hair or trim a beard. Both times, I left with uneven, butchered hair and beard. Even at the inexpensive rate, it's not worth it. Stopped by Chick's Barber for a long overdue haircut. Walked in, immediately got a chair and an awesome haircut! Great conversation with my barber along with a hot shave to the back of my neck all for $12.00! My wife said it was a very sharp looking cut with no stragglers! I'd come back for another cut but I'm from Minnesota visiting Big Cedar. I need to find a local old fashion barber in Maplewood who can provide same service as Chick's! I went to Chick's as a new guy in the area looking for a real barber shop - a shop that resembled the one I have used for years in Jonesboro, AR, where you might hear a story or 2, maybe even a slightly off color joke and at the same time, maybe get a decent hair cut. No appointments, walk ins only. Wait around an hour and a half with my teenage son. Showed them a photo of my son and the guy said over and over I don't do that haircut. Didn't even bother to ask the other guy if he could do it. I watched them give nearly the same haircut to a woman. Horrible waste of time. Went to Regis and while pricey there is no BS. read more
