I went to Chicken Salad Chick expecting a great sandwich and was very underwhelmed. I got the Chicken Salad melt with the Cranberry Kelli and there was maybe one scoop with one piece of cranberry for the entire sandwich. We went there for the first time to try it. We like chicken salad, but this was tasteless, dry and just plain bland. It lacked salt and was sooo dry and lacking mayonnaise. Plus the chicken salad only covered maybe 2/3rds of the croissant so lots of bites were meatless! The price was too high especially for the taste, I had to salt my sandwich a couple of times just to be able to eat it. My husband got some peach tea & looked at me and said "that taste terrible!" Came here for an early dinner (light food) and ordered the trio scoops meal with crackers to eat on the outside area of the sidewalk. Our server delivered the basket of food with a side pickle and cookie added in and three generous scoops of their many choices of various chicken salad. Went for the 3-way combo and added the broccoli salad. Nice options for sides. We tried the fruity chicken salad with grapes and nuts, the bbq chicken salad-very creative and good, plus the egg salad-creamy and tasty. Cane with wheat crackers and a dill pickle. They also give you a sugar cookie with icing. Thought I wouldn't like it but it was pretty good! They do taste testing outside the restaurant every day! Delicious products, so fresh and I do love their grape salad...(red & white seedless grapes covered in a sweet cream cheese mixture, topped with brown sugar & crushed pecans). It's worth trying. The croissant was not fresh, they added to my sandwich without asking (put bacon on it), no pickles as they were "out", the actual portion of chicken salad that was on the stale croissant did not even cover the croissant and the lemonade was watered down. I am a big fan of CSC at other locations but this franchise should be suspended until lfixed until. What a tasty menu and variety of chicken salad. It was a delicious break from the fast food we had been eating since this pandemic. That being said, the staff needs to be educated on the safety precautions. We were offered samples outside of the restaurant, which we declined, not realizing there were so many choices. Once inside we were offered samples that were handed over the front counter and then the used sample cups were passed back over the counter to ungloved counter staff. Once we paid, still being cautious on our first time eating inside, were tried to sit at two different tables, both of which appeared dirty. Finally found a clean table and observed another couple leaving - no effort made to wipe down their table. Customers were also going back and forth to the soda machine refills their already used cups. I would go back again for carry out, but would think twice before eating inside. Please educate your staff and implement safety precautions. read more
