Terrible service!!! Do not come here. I thought it would be a great day to go and it turned out horribly. They ran out of fries and pizza, can you imagine that, and the service was terrible from the food court. I asked to get rice since my girls won't eat the other options and it's not our fault that fries are out of stock. The employee said there's a charge, I called for the manager who was rude as hell. She didn't even acknowledge me and just told the employee how to ring it up. The manager didn't apologize or even look at me at any point. I tried not to make a big deal but when they had no pizza also, the manager just said to ring it up, "we'll make one," she said. I mentioned that they should let all other patrons know that they are out of certain items so that they are aware before they get in the long line. The employee didn't acknowledge me and I said, I know you dont care, he responded I care, and I said it sounds like it. So ridiculous, terrible customer service!! No acknowledgement or even care for their customers, our time or how they show up as a restaurant. When I got the pizza, it makes since why they all of a sudden were able to make it, because it was DISGUSTING!!! Pizza made with canned tomato sauce. Yuck! How embarrassing for them to serve something like that and pass it as appropriate. Do Not go here!!! It's super overpriced, terrible Service and nasty food. Definitely horrible experience in Grapevine Texas today!! They were not prepared for the Spring Break and for their special (grilled cheese for free) It was a nightmare!! Not prepared for the rush and I had my friends meet me there and they never have been. Needless to say, they or myself won't be back. Horrid experience!! Staff telling us the wait would be 15 to 20 minutes for food (we ordered from bar instead of long lines) and it was an hour and we cancelled. Time is so important and being lied to about the wait time, no excuse! Tell the stinking truth people. Came to play pickleball on a weekday evening and we definitely had a ball! This was our first time playing pickleball and we decided to rent an indoor court for an hour. After completing our waivers, a host walked us over to our court. The host asked if he had played before and we told her we had not. She tried explaining the rules to us but she ran through them really fast and none of us were able to fully comprehend her explanation. Luckily the rules are posted by the court so we were able to read them ourselves. I also would have appreciated a quick walk through on how to most effectively hold the paddle. The courts are nicely spaced and it's not too loud in doors. One suggestion I do have would be to put up netting in between the courts. The balls are constantly flying into your court/into other courts which can be disruptive to game play. Overall, I would definitely come back to play pickleball at Chicken N Pickle, but would suggest that first time players do some research/practice before they play here! read more

Update October 4th: This note serves as an update regarding our ongoing concerns with the player experience at CnP Grapevine. Following a call on September 29th with the General Manager, I was assured that the atmosphere would improve this week. Unfortunately, this was not the case during our group's booking on Thursday, October 2nd, from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The group reported feeling consistently and uncomfortably scrutinized by a manager throughout the evening. This resulted in several participants stating they no longer wish to return. Given this repeated negative experience on back to back weeks, I will be canceling our future court bookings for the next two weeks. We will be moving our group play to the Allen CnP location. My group and I invest a significant amount in court time, food, and drinks, and we expect a positive and welcoming environment in return. Update Sept 29th: I just received a call from the General Manager at CnP at Grapevine. He called and asked me what happened last Thursday. I provided him with the same detail i provided on my review. He apologized for our experience, he listen very patiently and provided an outcome that made me and the guys feel good that we don't have to look for another place to play. The GM said he will send us gift cards for free play based on our booking for this coming week. This was a very nice gesture and it also help alleviate the tension we thought we would feel when we arrive this Thursday if the same manager was there. I spread the word to our PB group chat so the guys are happy that we should not experience the same thing this coming week. We appreciate the GM for reaching out. - I changed the 1 star to 4 star because of the effort they made to make us feel comfortable to come back. On Thursday Sept 25th at 8:00 PM, I arrived to the Grapevine location as normal to check-in with two court reservation (8:30 - 10:30 PM & 9:00 - 11:00 PM). I was greeted with an African American manager along with several employees working at the front desk. I checked in 30 minutes early as I do almost every week since I am a Platinum Pickler and have been booking courts for several months now between Allen and Grapevine. After I checked in, I put my paddle and water bottle on top of the table next to court 9 which is next to the front desk. This time around, I was told by one of the employee who said my manager says "you cannot put your "things" on the table since your court rsvp is not until 8:30" so they asked me to go outside and wait - and order food outside. This is unusual since it has never been an issue with me setting my things down on a table but I do understand this was one of their rules. We took over court 9 after 8:30PM. While I was playing, i noticed 4 guys (non asian) set all of their paddles and things on our table that we reserved (i have no problem with this by the way) BUT the manager did not say anything to them about removing their items while the court is reserved. They stood around our area for 30 minutes until 9PM and nothing was said to them. They reserved court 11. Throughout the night, the same manager was walking around and enforcing rules. We do understand she was trying to do her job but many of the guys told me at the end of the night they felt like she was watching us the whole time and was not friendly at all. All of us that come play, we order drinks and food and spend a decent amount of money there. We have families, grown adults coming to Grapevine on a weekly bases to play PB but last night was the first time we felt uneasy, we felt like we were being watched like a hawk and felt uncomfortable. Playing Pickle ball should be a fun atmosphere but the manager last night made us not want to come back to Grapevine again. In the past several months that we have been playing at CnP, we have NEVER had any issues with the servers, managers and those who work there. They have been friendly and accommodating. Last night was the first very bad experience because of the manager. read more

The best server was Casey (hoped I spelled his name the correct way)! We went with our volleyball girls (it was a team bonding experience). From 9-11 we played pickleball on the outdoor covered courts, giant connect four, battleship, indoor chess, fooseball, and air hockey. We also had buffet style eggs, bacon, gravy, biscuits, and toast! The biscuits were very delicious! Casey was so kind and did a great job keeping the area clean and drinks filled! When we moved to only one court, the service dropped in quality...there were a couple of servers who did not appear to enjoy there jobs and one person who told us they could not get us drinks. By the "us" I mean the three coaches who went as chaperones. It ended on a little bit of a negative note... Honestly, the facilities are beautiful, but the service is better at the Grand Prairie location! read more

On this particular visit I wanted the brookie with ice cream but they were sold out at 4pm on a Friday. Opted for the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream instead. It came out and was so hard my toddler couldn't even break into it. Was able to speak to someone and she told us they would remake it softer. The second cookie came out way better and gooey. Thanks to the waitress that helped us. We love the location of this CNP and open space. It's really great for large parties and families. I'll be back but that brookie better be ready! read more

Had a great time at Chicken N Pickle! Went for lunch and Pickleball with some friends from work. Menu was pretty good - salads, handheld, bbq, wings, and some Mexican dishes. Showed up Saturday evening and this place was hopping! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Very casual, laidback vibe was awesome. I had the bacon burger (nope, no chicken here ) and my friend had a chicken sandwich. Both were tasty and very juicy. He had tater tots, which he said were great. I had sweet potato fries, which were soggy. The venue is family friendly. I think if you're coming here, it's to hang out with friends and play Pickleball. They have many indoor and outdoor courts. The burnt end sandwich was nice and tender. The fried Pickles were too greasy for my taste and the tots were basic. Maybe smothered would be better? Came here on a Friday night and it was really busy, my group had to make a pickleball court reservation online in advance. Overall this place is massive; there are so many pickleball courts, general outdoor and indoor seating, rooftop area, yard games, etc. My wife and I got the elote mac n cheese and sweet potato fries to snack on while we were waiting for our court reservation and both were decent. The sweet potato fries were nicely salted and had a good bite to it. The elote mac n cheese was okay, flavor was decent but I thought it was too salty. The pickleball court itself seemed good enough; this was my first time playing so I don't have a frame of reference here. It might be nice if there were nets in between the courts to prevent the ball from going to other people's courts over the fence. And it's huge! The owner made a substantial investment in delivering a venue for Pickle Ball, Corn Hole, Shuffle, children activities, ground and roof top patios, a restaurant and much more. This brand new location is incredible! Very spacious with so many fun games and plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. There are several indoor and outdoor pickleball courts. Lawn games include cornhole, life size battleship, shuffleboard, jenga, and more. There's also a full bar with TVs and a nice rooftop patio. The restaurant inside has good variety on the menu. We tried several appetizers including the avocado hummus, fried pickles, and deviled eggs. The fried pickles were my favorite - so crispy, the best I've ever had! For mains, I had the chicken + 2 rib combo. The chicken was very moist and tender. The rib was average and could've used some bbq sauce. The avocado and tortilla felt kinda random and didn't add anything. The grilled broccolini side was surprisingly tasty. The chopped burnt ends sandwich is also delicious. The meat is tender and not overly burnt. I would not recommend the Caesar salad. The dressing was very bland. They are adding a BBQ shack and pizza shack, so more exciting things to come! read more

Walked in to the restaurant to place our order and once we finally found where to go, we were greeted by an annoyed young man that seemed to laugh at our confusion in the established setup. Once we ordered we sat down and waited for a cocktail waitress to come get our drink order ( which never happened ) , I ended up having to go to the bar to place an order while the cocktail waitress and another employee twirled their hair and chatted. This place is so much fun!! We decided to check it out, as we had been waiting on it to open since at least November. The food was excellent and the drinks are delicious. You have to open up a tab for all food and drink, which you then pay at the end by grabbing a waiter or a bartender. It's easy enough, but we were a bit confused. Big. This place is big. Lots of outdoor space with games and a jungle gym. I didn't play pickle ball, but it seems to be best to bring your own equipment. Good place for kids and dogs. It's a very relaxed vibe, and for a Sunday it wasn't too busy. There's an open tab system, so you can order food from anywhere with anyone, just close out before you leave, and they don't take cash. The service here could be better. Everyone is nice, but staff needs better training when it comes to menu items as the few people I asked couldn't answer simple menu questions (mostly the girls at the counter). I sat at the bar and was never checked after getting any of my food items to see if it came out okay or if I needed anything else. I will not be coming back for the service, but the food. Everything on the menu looks amazing, and the drink selection is vast. Also, the prices are very reasonable. I had a Guava Paloma and a Kiwi & T. The Paloma was the best and a beautiful presentation. It's light, not too sweet (I don't like sweet drinks), refreshing and the guava helps cut the bitter grapefruit notes. Both of them were light and crisp, but the Kiwi & T was slightly sweeter; still good, though! Not too much kiwi, just a hint and the mint and lime evens it out nicely. Wings - Hell yes. Smoky, crispy, juicy. I order dry rubs of southwest and jerk, but I couldn't taste a difference. I, also, didn't care because they were so enjoyable. Sweet potato fries - nothing fancy. I ordered them extra crispy, and they turned out perfectly. Lightly salted. Good flavor and a decent sized portion. NKC Hot Sandwich - This is one big ass sandwich. The chicken was juicy, and nicely breaded and fried to a crisp with a great flavor on its own, but almost too salty. I was happy to find out the chicken wasn't bathed in hot sauce like most "hot chicken" sammies. Valentina's was sprinkled on top of the chicken followed with sliced pickles and spicy coleslaw. There is a good spice on this sandwich; stay away if you don't like spice. If you like spice, it's great, not too overpowering. The bun got soggy fast, so it's really needs something hardier like sourdough or ciabatta. Beats side - I love beats, and this combo of arugula, goat cheese and pistachios with them sounded heavenly. But there were, legit, two sprigs of arugula and a few pieces of cheese. Beats themselves we're good, but nothing special. I wanted to get the corn, but they said it comes on the Cobb and that was a mood I wasn't in. Haha. Overall, I'd come back for more! read more

We have been to this chicken n pickle several times now, and really have enjoyed it. It's perfect for Pickleball of course, and their food and drinks are also delicious. Trying to get an indoor court is a bit of a trick though. For Christmas week, I had to stay up until midnight two weeks before to reserve a court! I'm trying to get a manager because of my food coming out wrong and it took them over 25 minutes to get to me and by then I wanted a refund and just wanted to leave. Went last year to the location in Grand Prairie and soo happy that theirs this location in Grapevine. Since these locations have outdoor seating I was able to bring my doggie.
