Had a great time at Chicken N Pickle! Went for lunch and Pickleball with some friends from work. Menu was pretty good - salads, handheld, bbq, wings, and some Mexican dishes. Mostly chicken but also Ribs & Pork. Everything looked, smelled, and tasted great! I had the Smoked Jerk Wings w/BBQ sauce - so good! We also ordered a wrap, a salad, guacamole, and fries. Foods could have been Great! But it was overdone and tasteless. Service and Organizational structure SUCKS! Walked in to the restaurant to place our order and once we finally found where to go, we were greeted by an annoyed young man that seemed to laugh at our confusion in the established setup. Once we ordered we sat down and waited for a cocktail waitress to come get our drink order ( which never happened ) , I ended up having to go to the bar to place an order while the cocktail waitress and another employee twirled their hair and chatted. The bartender finally told them they needed to put our order in. Once we received our drinks, we never saw another employee approach our table. Not even to ask if we wanted anything else to drink or if we wanted to close our tab. Even though it was St. Patrick's day and we were ready to hang out awhile, we left after our meal and one drink. Huge place to try out the popular Pickle Ball sport, feast on upper quality bar food, and grab a drink or 2,3,4.... Nice meeting spot for groups, friends, or checking out the action in the area. Lots of cool "yard" games to play and adult size activities. I loved the hit chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries! The flavor is pretty mild, not spicy at all, but it's a great tasting choice! The burnt end sandwich was nice and tender. The fried Pickles were too greasy for my taste and the tots were basic. Maybe smothered would be better? Showed up Saturday evening and this place was hopping! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Very casual, laidback vibe was awesome. I had the bacon burger (nope, no chicken here ) and my friend had a chicken sandwich. Both were tasty and very juicy. He had tater tots, which he said were great. I had sweet potato fries, which were soggy. The venue is family friendly. I think if you're coming here, it's to hang out with friends and play Pickleball. They have many indoor and outdoor courts. Came here on a Friday night and it was really busy, my group had to make a pickleball court reservation online in advance. Overall this place is massive; there are so many pickleball courts, general outdoor and indoor seating, rooftop area, yard games, etc. My wife and I got the elote mac n cheese and sweet potato fries to snack on while we were waiting for our court reservation and both were decent. The sweet potato fries were nicely salted and had a good bite to it. The elote mac n cheese was okay, flavor was decent but I thought it was too salty. The pickleball court itself seemed good enough; this was my first time playing so I don't have a frame of reference here. It might be nice if there were nets in between the courts to prevent the ball from going to other people's courts over the fence. And it's huge! The owner made a substantial investment in delivering a venue for Pickle Ball, Corn Hole, Shuffle, children activities, ground and roof top patios, a restaurant and much more. Came back here again with family to try it out again since I like pickleball, but I can't anymore. Management is a joke and absolute circus fest. I'm trying to get a manager because of my food coming out wrong and it took them over 25 minutes to get to me and by then I wanted a refund and just wanted to leave. But my wife said we should just keep playing and ignore the food so we did. But when I had 10 minutes left on reservation people came over to my area of the pickleball court and sat down at our table! Couldn't believe it. Had the brunch buffet and it was horrible. Everything was cold, no flavor, no salt or pepper at the table. I sat for ten minutes empty on my margarita and water. This brand new location is incredible! Very spacious with so many fun games and plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. There are several indoor and outdoor pickleball courts. Lawn games include cornhole, life size battleship, shuffleboard, jenga, and more. There's also a full bar with TVs and a nice rooftop patio. The restaurant inside has good variety on the menu. We tried several appetizers including the avocado hummus, fried pickles, and deviled eggs. The fried pickles were my favorite - so crispy, the best I've ever had! For mains, I had the chicken + 2 rib combo. The chicken was very moist and tender. The rib was average and could've used some bbq sauce. The avocado and tortilla felt kinda random and didn't add anything. The grilled broccolini side was surprisingly tasty. The chopped burnt ends sandwich is also delicious. The meat is tender and not overly burnt. I would not recommend the Caesar salad. The dressing was very bland. They are adding a BBQ shack and pizza shack, so more exciting things to come! read more

This place is so much fun!! We decided to check it out, as we had been waiting on it to open since at least November. The food was excellent and the drinks are delicious. You have to open up a tab for all food and drink, which you then pay at the end by grabbing a waiter or a bartender. It's easy enough, but we were a bit confused. Big. This place is big. Lots of outdoor space with games and a jungle gym. I didn't play pickle ball, but it seems to be best to bring your own equipment. Good place for kids and dogs. It's a very relaxed vibe, and for a Sunday it wasn't too busy. There's an open tab system, so you can order food from anywhere with anyone, just close out before you leave, and they don't take cash. The service here could be better. Everyone is nice, but staff needs better training when it comes to menu items as the few people I asked couldn't answer simple menu questions (mostly the girls at the counter). I sat at the bar and was never checked after getting any of my food items to see if it came out okay or if I needed anything else. I will not be coming back for the service, but the food. Everything on the menu looks amazing, and the drink selection is vast. Also, the prices are very reasonable. I had a Guava Paloma and a Kiwi & T. The Paloma was the best and a beautiful presentation. It's light, not too sweet (I don't like sweet drinks), refreshing and the guava helps cut the bitter grapefruit notes. Both of them were light and crisp, but the Kiwi & T was slightly sweeter; still good, though! Not too much kiwi, just a hint and the mint and lime evens it out nicely. Wings - Hell yes. Smoky, crispy, juicy. I order dry rubs of southwest and jerk, but I couldn't taste a difference. I, also, didn't care because they were so enjoyable. Sweet potato fries - nothing fancy. I ordered them extra crispy, and they turned out perfectly. Lightly salted. Good flavor and a decent sized portion. NKC Hot Sandwich - This is one big ass sandwich. The chicken was juicy, and nicely breaded and fried to a crisp with a great flavor on its own, but almost too salty. I was happy to find out the chicken wasn't bathed in hot sauce like most "hot chicken" sammies. Valentina's was sprinkled on top of the chicken followed with sliced pickles and spicy coleslaw. There is a good spice on this sandwich; stay away if you don't like spice. If you like spice, it's great, not too overpowering. The bun got soggy fast, so it's really needs something hardier like sourdough or ciabatta. Beats side - I love beats, and this combo of arugula, goat cheese and pistachios with them sounded heavenly. But there were, legit, two sprigs of arugula and a few pieces of cheese. Beats themselves we're good, but nothing special. I wanted to get the corn, but they said it comes on the Cobb and that was a mood I wasn't in. Haha. Overall, I'd come back for more! read more

Went to the Pickle on Wednesday evening to meet our kids & grandkids for dinner. It was busy with multiple large parties but we still found a great table and were well cared for. I love this place I use to work at a private tennis club in California and this remind me of home so the service and food was great.

Loved the backyard feel with all the yard games! It's not just a place for pickleball. They also have a huge Connect Four, Battleship, ping pong and more. Very family friendly and pets are allowed on the patio. The reason for only 3 is the food. It was terrible. We had 4 different meal items and no one wanted even half of their order. Burger was dry and bland, wings just weren't good and the chicken sandwich fair. Only thing eaten was the waffle with the chicken and waffles. If we go back we will eat before or after and just have drinks. Overall a fun place just don't expect to have a good meal when you're there. read more

It's not common sense to start a tab without the cardholder's consent or knowledge. After a fun night outside with family, my 5-year-old wanted something to drink on our way home. I went inside, got in line, and ordered a fountain drink, fried pickles, and fries. I paid and was given a number. Two other family members had the same thought and they followed the same process. We ended up staying longer as the kids were bonding. We got up to leave and were told we needed to close our tabs. One of the family members had been here multiple times and said she never had to do that, but we all said okay. This is where the poor service begins. The young worker, whom I commend for working, had a very inefficient process. There were 3 tabs that needed to be closed, and she would go back and forth asking names, writing them down, and trying to find them. This process took about 10 to 15 minutes, either because she did not write the name down correctly or could not find the tab for some reason. I offered to give her the cards we used to pay several times, hoping that would make it easier, but she declined. Finally, she brought someone to help (Gabrielle), whom I assumed was a manager of some sort. She made it worse!!! I offered some feedback to Gabrielle, saying this process was inefficient. I asked if they could put a sign at the register saying tabs were being opened or to close a tab right away, or for the workers to verbalize that a tab was being opened. That way, we would not be held up when trying to leave. Gabrielle was dismissive, patronizing, and condescending. She told me it was common sense to close a tab and that signs were posted on the way out to close your tab. I explained to her that, in order to close a tab, I would need to know I have a tab. She said the servers normally mention this. I walked to the front and ordered a drink to test her theory, and the same thing happened. I was not told, and I saw the attendant grab the receipt, ball it up, and throw it away. I told Gabrielle this must be a training issue. She explained that the reason for making sure the tab is closed is to ensure we are not being charged for the wrong thing. My father-in-law also bought a drink, and they were unable to find his tab. Gabrielle came back saying, "We could not find the tab, but it's okay. They probably put it on someone else's tab, and it's okay." He offered to pay, not before checking his account to see if he was charged, and indeed he was. This means she and the establishment were willing to have someone else's card be charged for a purchase they did not make, which exposes the fraudulent nature of this practice of automatically opening a tab without a customer's consent. I should not have to read about your policies online before dining at your restaurant. It should be made simpler for first-time guests that you automatically have a running tab that could possibly be fraudulently charged, and then we have to deal with the inconvenience and time. This entire process took almost an hour! You have a sign saying it's cashless. Have a sign to get consent before opening a tab, or just close it right away. This is not the last you will hear about this fraudulent policy!! read more

Went last year to the location in Grand Prairie and soo happy that theirs this location in Grapevine. Since these locations have outdoor seating I was able to bring my doggie. The ribs are still amazing but sadly I didn't love the BBQ sauce and the spicy chicken sandwich was different but not bad. The fried pickles was good too. My girlfriend was trying to schedule a party here and had the following experience. If you're in the DFW area, don't even try to plan special occasions at any Chicken N Pickle location here. Try At Fault in Dallas instead. I tried to call three weeks in advance about reserving 2 courts for my birthday (Saturday, May 3), and the receptionist told me that they can't book for me over the phone or online until two weeks ahead of time. I checked online this morning (the Saturday two weeks ahead) and saw that there were NO courts available May 3. When I called, the receptionist told me that regulars who come will use bots to book courts as soon as their system opens two weeks prior at midnight. I was advised to check 2-3 days before May 3 to see if anyone has canceled since their cancellation policies are super relaxed. I was appalled that it's that serious for people to use bots and that this is knowingly happening and yet management doesn't try to do anything to prevent this from happening. People can't celebrate special occasions anymore at places like these because policies are chill, management doesn't care, and obnoxious pickleball players use bots to book courts without even knowing if they can actually commit. My friends and I are never coming here again. read more

We had to send a quesadilla back because they use sliced roasted chicken which we don't think belongs on a quesadilla. The bowls on the menu aren't really bowls. They are just small plate salad so I would suggest they rethink that. My husband thought that brunch buffet was a good value. I do like the idea of having an outdoor concept like that. What are two things I like? Eating good chicken and playing pickle ball. This is my second time visiting a Chicken n Pickle (first time was in San Antonio). Even though the pickle ball was fun and the food was great I want to talk about the service first. Everyone was so nice from the very start. We walked in and I didn't realize I dropped my dog's bed. They found it and kept it safe until I came looking. Also our waitress was so helpful, I asked for the NKC hot chicken sandwich but I wanted it to be much spicier. She took my request and ran with it. I was so happy with my meal and will definitely go again! Pretty cool concept with playgrounds, pickle ball, dog areas, etc. I also noticed how FILTHY the inside of the actual restaurant was...this was a huge turnoff honestly. There were bugs and garbage everywhere. They have loads of staff, yet nobody cleans tables or floors. Kind of weird. It was generally kind of chaotic and once again just absolutely DIRTY. I ordered the chicken and waffles. It was kind of flavorless, and a small portion of chicken in my opinion. Overall very sub par.
