The new atmosphere just feels sterile and boring, the service is cheerful, but our server was talking to me as if I was a child because I forgot to take my lid off when she went to get my refill. Overall, nit-picky things, I think someone with a different palate than mine can have a great time here, but for the price, I am thoroughly disappointed. So it gets a mediocre rating from me.

On our way back up north so we decided to grab Lunch here while on the road. We are big fans of…read moreCane's so we know what we like and we know the quality and great taste they provide. Sadly today was a big disappointment. The staff is not as peppy as all of the other locations across the US so that was a bummer bc we could have use some of that energetic environment. Secondly, it was not as clean. Lastly and main reason for 2 stars was the texture taste of the chicken was off, the batter was not burned but it had a weird taste and it was too hard UNLIKE the other locations where the batter is crispy but not hard. Also the seasoning of it was off. The fries were over cooked and had tons of salt. I don't know if this region has their main customers that enjoy a high amount of sodium but yuck it was not up to par with what we are used to. Raising Cane's is an incredible way place to eat some great tasting chicken and I will continue to be a fan but this location is not doing what they should be. I read that another Yelper had a similar experience with the chicken.

I asked what thier favorites were and they gave us a few samples of the smoked meats. You buy the meat by the pound and then add sides. The food was amazing. The brisket was tender, turkey juicy and perfecty smoked and the sausage was my favorite, what a bold flavor. I had the Mac & cheese, hubby had okra and we shared 1/3 pound of turkey, sausage and brisket and an order of the stuffed jalapenos. It smelled so damn good I forgot to take a picture. All and all it beat the pants off of any BBQ joint in Shreveport Bossier (where I'm from). I'd go back tomorrow! A+ food, A+ service!

Still a little nervous, but between the decor and the sweet lady who showed us to our table and got us settled, I was feeling like this place was legit about to be awesome. The decor was authentic and everything you want in a little hole in the wall Chinese food restaurant. We decided to get both the combos for a little variety and so we could try several things at once. Sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, fried rice, lo mein, and egg rolls. After ordering, could hear it being stirred up in a wok in the kitchen. Wonderful! It's fresh made! Munched on some fried wontons while we waited. Food came out and looked amazing. I've never been served sweet and sour chicken with the sauce already on it, usually in a little cup on the side. But I liked it and it was so good. both the sweet and sour chicken and the sesame chicken were perfect. Sauced but still crunchy. All the pieces similar in size and just the right bite size. I hate when you get little pieces and then big chunks. Fried rice was delish. Lo mein was so good, not dry but not too much sauce. Egg rolls were just the crispy taste I wanted. Everything about the meal hit the spot. We will most definitely be back. So glad to find some really good Chinese in Texarkana.
