The people who work here are pretty friendly. I haven't ever had a problem. This location you can go inside or use the drive thru. It doesn't have stalls anymore for some reason. I've never ate inside. They do have a volley ball court in the back. I personally only like chicken express every once in a while. My boyfriend on the other hand would eat it any change he gets. I like to get the 4 piece tenders. They sometimes give you an extra which is nice treat for him. Haha. I always get fries as a side. I have tried the mashed potatoes, and cheese sticks. Chicken express is always serving up fresh, hot chicken...and fish if that's your thing. It's always good tender meat chicken, cooked fresh, with just the right amount of crisp. You can get original, spicy, or mixed...I'm an original girl. I haven't tried the spicy, but I'm sure it's wonderful too. Their sides are great too! Which for me, is alway important! Hot okra, fries, mashed potatoes...and our family alway orders the hush puppies...it's just a thing and they are amazing!!! You get to choose a roll or biscuit...can't go wrong with either. Chicken meals come with a large side of gravy. They have dipping sauces that are available at extra charge. I've never tried any of them, because I'm a ketchup only girl. I'm beginning to lose faith in all restaurants and fast food places. The chicken was ok. Nothing special. One of the pieces of fish was very dry and overcooked, the other piece was almost raw in the middle. The hush puppies were so burnt, they were crispy and the inside was hollow. I had to use a hammer to break them apart. The corn tasted funny. I don't know what it was. The rolls and biscuits were good hot but lost the flavor once they cooled and reheating them only made them tough. The mashed potatoes an gravy was decent. I called and the manager said he would mail out some coupons. We never got them. I called back and he said the same thing. Still never got them. I just forgot about it. My mother and I just had lunch at the Mustang location. I usually get the fish and my mother gets the livers. Today both the fish and livers were so salty that we could hardly eat them. I am usually a fan of chicken express, but I made the mistake of trying the fish (at a place with chicken in its name, so that's probably my fault). Not sure if it was the location, since I've never eaten at this one or the fact that I tried the fish for the first time ever, but it was not good. It was dry and almost all breading. I've eaten here multiple times over the years with varying degrees of food quality and customer service; but, yesterday was absolutely the worst. My brother's catfish was overcooked/inedible and returned. The replacement meal had taken longer than the promised 8 minute turnaround; so, I went to the counter to get it and received an apology because they "thought" someone had already brought it out. The fish was still overcooked but I wasn't going to make another attempt. Prior to leaving I had a conversation with the manager on duty to convey my disappointment with the food and the service as well as the staff members guests throwing ice at them from across the restaurant. The staff member involved in the 'ice capades' is the same one who originally took my order, received the returned food and promised delivery within 8 minutes. Epic fail on all levels. read more

This is fast food chicken and I wouldn't usually give s fast food place five stars, however I am making an exception this time. I am a fan of chicken livers and they know precisely how to cook them. Most places overlook them and they turn out bitter. This place cooks them perfectly. The chicken and fish are great as well. They have plenty of choices for side items and all are great. I really like the jalapeño poppers. If you want your French fries fresh I recommend eating in the restaurant. Every time they have a large hiring of staff, the customers have to deal with rude sarcastic staff. Eventually it improves. I've also learned to never order mashed potatoes unless your getting chicken fingers if you want more than a teaspoon of gravy on the potatoes. And expect to always wait 8 minutes for catfish. I'm almost embarrassed to be writing this review because how much can one really expect from fast food? We usually try to steer clear of such places, but we were trying to fill our bellies to avoid poor decisions at the grocery store and made a last minute decision to eat here. I feel as though it is my duty to share my knowledge and save you all about $8 per person and a wasted thousand calorie meal. I'm not even really sure which part was the worst...the chewy chicken strips, the mushy okra, or the incredibly salty mashed potatoes. The ONLY enjoyable part of the meal was the roll. Our sides are always cold. The fries taste like they have been sitting out all day. One time we ordered biscuits with our meals and they had some mold on it and a couple of dead flies were stuck on the biscuits. I do not recommend this place.
