"Chicken E" serves good catfish. The service is usually acceptable and relatively quick, considering they fry the fish fresh. The fried pickles are good. I'm not a fan of the chicken tenders. read more

Normally, I really do like chicken expresses fish and I've got the fish up until 10 minutes before they closed. It seems as though two nights ago I went in there about 845 ordered two big fish dinners with extra fish to be told. They turned off the fish fryers an hour and 15 to 20 minutes early before they close. This is unheard of I think the people are lazy and didn't want to deal with the fish because they huff and puff about dealing with it anyway since it's a chicken place I won't ever go back there again and like I said I really did enjoy it but it seems like they don't care not to mention you sit right there at the driveway door and see them in there clowning around big spring. Y'all need to get some real workers going on here. read more

This is what my $20 dinner looked like, batter clusters and chicken clumps. This location is just trash, the only time I get fresh food is when I take the hard old chicken back to them and request fresh food. Save your money, the managers are lazy and it shows in the food and in the lobby of sticky tables. Trust me when I tell you just go to cfa. I get it's a bs job we all know that, but serving food that's been sitting under heat for HOURS bro come on. On a side note I bet they hire anyone that walks in so go apply, they need help! read more

Chicken Express - $20 dinner of chicken bits and batter clusters - Fast Food Near Me - Big Spring, Texas

Take out | Lunch | $30-50 This was a drive-through order at CHICKEN EXPRESS IN BIG SPRING, TEXAS, 8/19/25. This should have been the best chicken of the day because it would have been the first chicken fried of that day!. We arrived at 10:45 am. The chicken tastes and eats like it was left over from last night and re-fried this morning. Tough and very dry, the crust was so hard that it was very difficult to chew without fearing that you might break a tooth. The mashed potatoes were thin and watery, and had no taste. This is not the first time the food and service have been very bad. What little I did eat has made me so sick!! The chicken here used to be so good, but now it sucks. Think twice before you go here. We will drive across town to Gill's Fried Chicken from now on. I cannot believe that a business would serve food like this. The boy who took the order could not remember what was told to him. Okra and green beans, and rolls were missing from the orders. They don't care anymore, including the management. At this rate, if they don't like the job, they won't have to worry about going to work because they won't be open long!!! I didn't know anyone could make fried chicken taste this bad!! If there was a box that had NO STARS, I would have used it. The only reason I gave 1* is that people would think I forgot if I didn't leave any.. read more

I will never go here again I wanted some chicken it was given to me cold and not even that great a few days past and I'm hospitalized for E. coli poisoning unless you want E. coli do not come here. read more

I usually like Chicken Express, especially if the fries are fresh (sometimes they aren't).. But today I am not a happy camper. I ordered a chicken wing plate - 4 wings come on it. When my order arrived it was only 2 wings. Receipt showed I was charged for a 2 piece meal, which is more expensive than the wing plate. I didn't have time to ask for them to correct the situation. Still love the chicken! read more

Went to chicken express here in Big Spring. Yesterday spent over thirty dollars for food went back home over an eight piece chicken, only 4 pieces we're edible the other 4. We're not cooked and steal raw on the inside. Very disappointed, we'll not be buying chicken there. Anymore read more

So as an avid Yelper I was a little distraught to see the reviews on here and the stars only or two. However I can assure you as I've never eaten at an establishment like this or not this company per se it's where I really should be going with this I have eaten fast food chicken but not this particular company. So when I pulled up in the drive-through I felt pressure as always and every drive-through that I am unfamiliar with to quickly decide and place an order. This associate told me to take my time and was very genuine. So my demeanor quickly change to being comfortable reviewing the menu. I was looking for something small and asked for a suggestion to which she gave. I gladly accepted and pulled around. Fast service and the freshest chicken fingers. read more

Stopped by there today, the girl at the window was SO rude! Ordered 6 piece chicken liver and turned out to be 3 dried up pieces of nastiness. Management should keep a better eye on employees, won't go back there for sure read more

Rude girl working the window tonight. She was rude the last time we were there too. I think she has been allowed to be rude by her manager as the manager overheard everything and did nothing. read more

I had to wait on those too by the way...bad customer service! read more

My wife, my brother and I ordered a family meal at 7:15pm. While waiting i noticed the staff was setting up over 50 meal boxes they were fixing meal boxes. 20 minutes had passed, more people ordered and cars from the drive thru went by. I don't know what we were thinking, the time had hit 8:15pm still no food, sooner people actually turned away. I looked, they had enough staff to get that function order and fill the dining room orders. There were 2 employees walking around doing nothing. At 8:20pm a lady asked for a refund and the corporate number. They gave her a refund, but said they didn't know the corporate number and she should go online and find it herself. She snatched the receipt from who I believe was the manager. Sometime before that my wife changed our order for carry out. Since w did that we asked for an additional cup for my mother. The manager said no problem. At 8:30 we received our food, and went to my mom's and when we started getting out the food they forgot our green beans. My wife had called the Chicken Express corporate number. They agreed with every point she made and will have a representative. This was our worst visit ever. read more

The chicken and fries were good. However the gravy was cold. I've contacted the Health Department about serving food below temperature. You'll be getting a surprise visit. read more

My husband and I did the drive thru at the 1000 W Danforth Rd, Edmond OK location. We came home to eat, my husband got into him dinner roll and pulled out a long hair. I called to let them, first they were ready to replace the meal, then the guy became rude saying it wasn't possible because their rolls are frozen and not fresh made... um ok, so they have to be baked on store ??? So either whomever baked the bread or the factory one had an employee whose hair was in the bread. He then said we have to bring the hair and the roll back to the store so they could investigate, apparently they do DNA tests on the spot to find out whose hair is in your food, sorry sir, both the hair and roll were thrown up, no longer available for analysis. All this after trouble ordering when the girl kept asking what we wanted even though we had already told her. Needless to say, though the food.is good, we will not be returning, between the slow service when ordering, hair in the food and the rudeness of the man who answered the phone.... total loss of our business We did not call to get a free meal, money back or even a free roll, we simply called to tell the issue we had and we were spoken to as if we were criminals... I have a chicken express in my home town, and this establishment is a fucking disgrace upon the chicken express franchise. Alllllll of my food was cold, the tea was absolutely gross and the roll was still half & half a ball of dough. Really upset. read more

Extremely dirty. The service was very sloooooow. We ordered chicken livers on 2 plates. They had to cook up fresh but when livers were out they were doing current orders while we set and waited. We requested are money back and will never go there again. read more

2 stars for the chicken because it's better then KFC, -3 stars for the staff because as much as they mess up my drive through order (maybe 1-6 they get it right), makes me believe there is no active drug testing at this location. Seriously, I order the same thing through the drive through every 3-4 weeks: #2, fries, ranch, roll, LG soda and instead of gravy add in some ranch. Either they put in mashed potatoes instead of fries (wrong), add gravy instead of ranch (wrong) etc etc. And when you tell the staff about it, they act like your the one wrong and messed it up. If you enjoy paying money to be treated lippy by a drug addict, this is the place for you but can tell you, the chicken isn't that good for that level of service (fast food or not). read more

Every time I go here they forget half of my order. Plus they take forever so I give it two stars for poor service

Waited in line for 45 minutes. We ordered xtra rolls and didn't get any rolls at all. When I called back the girl on the phine laughed and thought the whole thing was funny because I said I wasn't coming back right then to get them. I then talked to the manager and she agreed to replace 2 of the 4 rolls. Horrible customer service. Don't get food from here. read more

Sitting in line. First never got asked what drink we wanted but that's fine, we can tell her at the window! But we've been waiting for 15 minutes and there's literally only one car in front of us and NO ONE INSIDE! Then some random car drives up next to us and the lady working here runs out, stops making our order and GIVES HER FRIEND A FREE DRINK while we've been waiting forever. We just had a bad encounter at dennys (check out the reviews, we aren't the first, there's tons) and we come here even more starving! This is a shit hole town with ppl who don't know how to work or serve! Customer service sucks! Ppl are rude and dirty. Seriously. Wtf. Trashy trashy and don't recommend any place here for anyone! I recommend you bring groceries from home! Oh, and employees have no uniform because this one young kid working here is walking around with his fkn PANTS down and boxers showing. This is a RESTAURANT! Who can I call about this, it's disgusting. I asked for a manager and the lady at the window fought with me, so rude. Scared to come back. OH don't forget this other girl in a white tee threw out the trash and walked back in started serving food WITH NO GLOVES read more

I LOVE chicken express!! Well pretty much everywhere else but this one. Food is cooked in old grease, taste mediocre at best!! Usually cold, hard, and tastes old!! As if that wasn't bad enough service is horrific!! They are the rudest Resturaunt in town. We do not eat there anymore!!! I can pop frozen junk in a microwave and it taste better and not get an attitude. Terrible!!! read more

Have always been impressed with the quality and taste of the food. Quick time in drive thru, friendly staff!

Have eaten here 4 times. The first time was in the evening and the food was awesome, hot and fresh. The staff where very friendly and willing to go the extra mile. The other times where during the day between 11 and 3... quite a difference in the service. Short snippy staff, not friendly, the food was warm and they did forget part of our order. The day shift could take lessons from the night shift!!! read more

They have sewer problems. The place smells. Was a frequent customer till then. Shame. Was great for the first year it was open. Nasty!

My sister and I went to the chicken express in big spring, tx. The cashier that took our order didn't look well and when we asked her if she was ok she started to faint and one of her co-workers caught her before she hit the floor. I immediately dialed 911. The supervisor looked at me and in a very rude voice and rude face said you shouldn't have called the ems. She went to the back and didn't come back out. When the ems got there an employee told them in a very loud voice that they should not have not called. When we got home I called back and talked to the manager and she heard me say I call the ems but did not come talk to me. She didn't even stay out and check on her employee. She told me to go on the website but didn't know how to do it. As a manger you should have some knowledge of this. They were mad at us for getting help for an employee read more

This place is absolutely disgusting and a total joke. Right after ordering I went to the restroom to wash my hands. Immediately upon entering the restroom it smelled really bad, but it's a restroom so I dismissed that. Went to wash my hands and noticed there was no soap so I went to manager and Informed him so he sent a worker in the back to grab more soap (figured they might have just run out). The worker came back with no soap and neither one of them said a thing...So I had to go and ask him if they had any. Turned out the place had NO SOAP ANYWHERE. When I asked them how they wash their hands after using the restroom they said they use the sink in the kitchen... Which means they are cross contaminating everything! Minimum of 15 flies flying around in the kitchen around all the food. We demanded our money back and let them know what we thought pretty good. Didn't get a single apology or anything. Place is a joke! I wish I had the power to shut them down but I don't...but the health dept does! Calling them tomorrow morning first thing. read more

They used to be good but a bunch of uneducated ladies this round can't count 12 rolls... We usually have the gravy left out & have to make it at home that I said not this time I forgot to check my order was only worried about the gravy!!! Got home & the extra rolls alon won the rolls that come with the 30 piece order was not there, after they forgot the gravy I had to remind them let me add!!!!! REALLY!!!! So I call to complain then what I told the manager about where is the service with a smile as no one even acknowledges me at the window lol not even the lady handing me my food I think?!? They're all teasing the one that has to come hand me my forgotten food about remember to smile, as if they shouldn't be friendly as it is or as happy employee?!? If you can't show that or show such discontent with your job move on!!! Your an adult in a teenage learning experience role so go get a real life education and get a real career or realize your role in life and be happy with it and smile!!! Your getting paid for what you do so why take your hatred out on your customers??? Why mess up your customers orders because your not happy and can't function properly??? I've spent way too much there for way too long for them to mess up and when I finally voice my complaints for the manager to me childish about it too?? Really!!! Eat more chicken somewhere else, the fact KFC has better options & does have value deals is really more appealing anyway than these idiots that can't get a single order right ever!! I counted a total of 14 recipts from October 2015 most was jst over 80$ & least just over $30 so I'm DONE with this location of chicken express after tonight's experience!!! read more
