Good down home chicken flavour and freshness. Great pizzas. Large salad portions. Try their taco salad. Great service and friendly staff.

It was taking long so I figured it was the pump. When I got in the car I asked the elder with me if she could see the amount and told her "I don't know if I got any gas because it appeared to be fizzing slowly. At the same time a girl from Chicken chef came out and said "you just asked for $30 gas? " I told her "yes" She said "I forgot to stop it and now there is $84. in your tank" I gave her another $14 and told her I would next week to pay the rest as I wanted to be honest. She said "my mom won't wait that long" I told her I asked for $30 and that was all the money I had on me. She asks me to leave a credit card with her and I told her I didn't use credit cards. I left her my cellphone number, an old driver's licence so she wouldn't think I was being dishonest. We then headed back to Winnipeg. The following Wednesday I went there to pay for the rest of the gas that the girl had mistakenly put into my tank. The mom "Dianna" came to take the money and said. "are you the one with the Ford Explorer?" I told her yes. She instructed the girl to give me a receipt and then said to me "Ok it's all good. I will call the police and let them know that you came to pay for it." I said "the police???" She said "don't worry, I'll let then know you came to pay" I couldn't believe she called the police for their mistake. If I was going to be dishonest I wouldn't have left my phone number and id with them. She walked away without even saying "thank you" Later on I checked my old messages and she left a message saying "Katie, this is Dianne B.., you gassed up here and left without paying for your gas. Call me. The police have been called and told that you left without paying for your gas. The nerve!! ! I called the Lundar police and explained everything to them. I also told them about the message and all he said was "unbelievable!!!" He assured me that it wasn;t my fault and not to worry about it. They'll never get my business again!!! I am also reporting this to the Better Business Bureau, taking it to the paper and filing a complaint with her to the corporation!!!!

The food has got to be the worst I have ever had and further the owner is a very overweight woman who enjoys causing more trouble for patrons that customer service. The experience we had was terrible, after we had purchased a couple of drinks and a piece of chicken on a stick (That we threw out because it tasted terrible.) we had a cigarette outside of our car because we have children and do not smoke in the car with them. The "owner" (I use that term VERY loosely) after we had got back in the car and pulled away called the RCMP and told them that we had been smoking Marijuana in the car with our children. We found this out after being pulled over about 2 mins down the road when 2 RCMP cars pulled us over. The officer who came to our vehicle said right in front of our children " Where's the dope??", I was flabbergasted as was my wife. To make a long story short, because of this Chicken Chef "owners" lies we have had one of the worst vacations ever. I suggest avoiding this place at all costs as we were told that this is not a new thing for this apparent business owner. She apparently enjoys being nosy and causing trouble for every and anyone that she can. I will also be making a formal complaint to Chicken Chef Corporate as well as a formal complaint to the RCMP for the threatening to my wife that he was going to tear my car apart, right in front of my 9 year old daughter and 6 year old son. Also repeating the words DOPE and DRUGS numerous times.

After fetching my luggage and rental car, I was ready for lunch at around 11 am. If anyone knows me, I tend to eat a later lunch no matter how early I am up. However, I had a long day ahead of me driving down to the Twin Cities, so I needed some nourishment. It was a no-brainer move for me to visit this Jollibee location: - It was the first one established in Canada - It has a drive-thru - I needed my Fillipino fast food fix - It's less than ten minutes away from the airport I love Jollibee. I am thrilled that the greater Toronto area (GTA) has locations. However, none of them have drive-thrus. All three Winnipeg Jollibee locations do. What is wrong with you, GTA?! I am also ecstatic that Jollibee chose Winnipeg for its first Canadian location. Winnipeg boasts the highest Filipino population per capita and has Canada's third-largest Filipino population. It truly deserved the nod. I could have dined in. I wanted to hit the drive-thru and did just that. I had the most helpful woman take my order. My order comprised these items: - Pineapple juice - Two burger steaks with steamed rice - A side of spaghetti - Peach mango tea I asked if I could do a side of spaghetti. I could. Yay! My order was over $20. I frankly don't remember the exact price, which is odd for me. I was borderline hangry. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I got my drink and bag of food fairly quickly. I thanked the woman and headed over to an available parking spot in a vast parking lot to chow down. I love the pineapple juice. It's sweet, but not disgusting gross. It's like a cheerful burst of happiness when you sip it. My go-to meal is the two burger steaks with steamed rice. It's the mushroom gravy that makes this meal awesome. I mixed the sauce with the steamed rice and enjoyed it with the burger steaks. It's brilliant comfort food that made me so happy. I love the spaghetti. You get small slices of hot dogs in a tangy-slightly sweet sauce. The noodles were perfectly done. I loved eating it from a cup. It's nice getting drive-thru spaghetti. Fazoli's is the other chain that I know of where you can get spaghetti at a drive-thru. I normally get two peach mango pies. I decided to get one because my order was large. It hit the spot. The exterior was crispy. The peach mango filling was excellent. I was so happy. I loved this location so much that I ate here before I headed to the airport to head home to Toronto. My order was similar, except that I wasn't hangry. I omitted the pineapple juice and spaghetti. My lunch was satisfying. I probably saved a bit having comfort food at Jollibee than dining at the airport. I love this location. The food was yummy. Staff were helpful and friendly. When I'm back in town, expect my paying a visit or more here. (79)
