The leader of the pack then tells me there is no Day pass. But as I'm walking away I hear the girls arguing about how I can get a day pass and maybe I knew someone with a membership. Because I was listening I stopped and turned around to ask if I can get a day pass or not and then the girl quickly says no. I felt very odd and I am pretty sure it had something to do with the melanin in my skin though I'm hoping that's not the case. The look on their faces these you know these kids were just something just didn't feel right and I'm disappointed. I left feeling sad. This also gave me the impression that if I would've signed up for a membership I'd be denied it. ‍

A social summer gathering spot that is kid friendly, unpretentious, and located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood setting. Best feature is the swimming pools (there are four!!) which are kept impeccably clean, as is the rest of the nicely landscaped property. Pools are open from late May through (September- Labor Day). The club has really stepped up its game with the 2018 expansion of the lap pool to 8 lanes and renovating bleacher seating. Snack bar is good, but cash only. Food is as better than you would expect for a poolside snack bar, and super convenient poolside. Lifeguards are attentive & on duty at all times, which is reassuring. They are also very courteous and friendly. The guards manning the diving pool even engage the kids in an entertaining game called "categories" as they jump off the board. Kids love it. There are 9 lighted tennis courts to choose from. All are in spectacular shape. I particularly like courts 8 & 9, which are nestled inside the woods, and great for shade if you catch at the right time. Though the bathrooms/showers/changing rooms are dated, they are kept very tidy. Amenities are numerous: 1. 8 lane lap Pool, with diving blocks 2. Family pool, with two tunnel slides 3. Diving pool, with two boards 4. Kiddie pool for the under 5 set 5. Plenty of lounges, tables & chairs (with umbrellas) 6. The building is a beautiful Arts and Crafts/Shingle Style building that was originally used as a school and meeting house/town hall. It is now the main club house for the GPRA. I personally join the pool each summer as it provides me with an escape from the daily grind. There are three pools. An adult, kids, and wading pool. There are nice gas grills and a raised sun deck. Bathrooms with showers are also provided for pool users. You can even bring a cooler of cold adult beverages! The clubhouse is nicely landscaped and kept up on the outside but lacks central air conditioning and is thus always hot in the summer. It is available for private parties for members. Membership is relatively affordable and rates ban be seen on line. There is also a swim team called the Dolphins. It is both child and adult friendly. Many 20 and 30 something singles hang out by the adult pool and there is a festive party atmosphere on weekends, the pools are even open until 10pm on Saturday. Single membership is a one time fee of $350 and a family membership one time initiation is $580.
