While I was lucky enough to find this kitchen island on kijiji, John normally builds one island at a time, and only takes custom orders. From what I understood, his prices seem incredibly reasonable for the quality of furniture he is providing. Check out the gallery on his website to see his many masterpieces! Apart from the beautiful esthetic of the finished product, I also loved the fact that John sources his own trees and planes the majority of his wood himself. Every piece, then, has a story to share John was also able to deliver my island to.my home...which happened to occur during a snowstorm. Although the island was neatly wrapped in plastic to keep the elements at bay, some of the island was covered in snow by he arrived. Not only did John help me (or did I help him? ) carry the island inside, he also stayed and helped me clean off all of the snow. He wanted to make sure the paint was ok, and that the snow wouldn't leave any marks/stains.
