hot 6 Piece Honey Hot Tender. DELICIOUS

This is truly an underrated joint. These guys are THROWING DOWN. some of, if not the best chicken tenders ever. The place is clean, and the ambiance is cute. The staff are super nice and personable. I can't get enough of their chicken and the sauce is to die for. 10/10 would go again!!

We visit this place at least once a month just for the hot honey tenders--they're absolutely amazing! The balance of sweet and spicy is perfect, and they're always cooked to perfection. While the hours are limited, it's well worth planning your visit around them. The staff is fantastic--so kind and incredibly friendly, which adds to the overall great experience. I highly recommend ordering extra sauce cups; the sauce pairs perfectly with the tenders and takes them to the next level! If you're a fan of bold, delicious flavors and excellent service, you have to try this spot.

For a BBQ place they have an unusual menu - no brisket, no chicken breasts or thighs and no pulled meat on the main menu. What they do have is several fish and seafood options and their pork rib tips are served with either turkey ribs (turkey chunks?) or chicken sausage, neither of which I've seen before. I think there were just two people working when I was there: one in the kitchen and a sibling of L and J at the register. I was the only dine-in customer and the ambiance is barebones with checkered plastic tablecloths, diner-style chairs and only one printed menu at the register. Several specials were on chalk boards and it was "Soul Food Saturday" but I did not try their collared greens or other specials which did include a half chicken that I wish was on the main menu. The BBQ is solid but one hour away Chicago has nothing to worry about. The meat is tender and flavorful and the chicken sausage was delicious but seasoned with a bit too much rosemary. One disappointment was that the meat came covered in a semi-sweet BBQ sauce and there was none on the table and no option for a mustard, vinegar-based or other sauce, so I hope you're satisfied with exactly what you're given. While I was there I was given a sizable side of their tender pot roast and roasted vegetables. Both were excellent. Overall I think you will be very pleased if not blown away.

We ordered wings with the sweet chili sauce and the hot honey garlic sauce. Wings were meaty and yummy. We ordered the Ultimate Nachos and those were sooo good. There was the right amount of each ingredient in the nachos. The chili, cheese, sour cream, salsa... just the perfect amount. The portion was big. We also ordered the Baron sandwich and it was delicious!!! I love grilled chicken sandwiches and this one was loaded with mushrooms, cheese and bacon the chicken was not dry and had really good flavor. The restaurant is nice and big and has a bar area with TVs. The day I went for pick up there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. What a shame. My food was all very good and it was packaged perfectly for take out. Prices are not the lowest but it was worth it for the food.

This has always been one of my favorite spots, so when I decided to bring my family out for a meal, I expected the same great experience I've always had. The food itself was exactly what I've come to expect, delicious. The wings were great, the atmosphere was familiar, and for a while everything seemed fine. Our waitress seemed very nervous from the start. I tried not to think much of it. Maybe she was new, maybe she was having an off day. We even asked about the pickle chips and she didn't realize they were on the menu, which made me think she was still learning the ropes. Then things took a strange turn. At one point during our meal, my daughter took a selfie with her brother while our waitress happened to be nearby speaking with us. Later, I noticed employees looking toward our table and talking among themselves, but I didn't think much of it at the time. Near the end of our visit, a manager, who was incredibly kind and professional, came over to explain the situation. Apparently, our waitress believed my daughter had been taking pictures of her. My daughter was immediately upset and apologetic, even though she had done nothing wrong. To clear up any confusion, she showed us her camera roll. Sure enough, the most recent photo was exactly what she said it was: a selfie of her and her brother. What bothered me wasn't the misunderstanding itself. Mistakes happen. What bothered me was learning that employees had been discussing the situation among themselves and speaking about my daughter before anyone bothered to simply ask what was going on. My daughter ended up in tears because she realized the looks and conversations she'd noticed throughout the restaurant were connected to this misunderstanding. No child deserves to feel embarrassed or singled out over something that could have been resolved with a simple conversation. I want to give credit where it's due: the manager handled the situation with kindness and professionalism, and the food remains some of my favorite around. But the way this situation was handled left a sour taste that no amount of great wings could fix. I've always loved coming here, which makes writing this review disappointing. Unfortunately, after this experience, my family and I will not be returning.

I glad they updated their website. When they first opened, the menu didn't specify how many wings per order but now they do. Ordering from the website was very easy. They give you the option of pickup or delivery I ordered the 10 boneless combo (accidently ordered that, on my own account). It came with Sriracha soy, a side of cole slaw, blue cheese and beef tallow cooked fries. I was not a fan of the coleslaw but that is my own preference. It is vinegar based and I like mine with Mayo The fries were the best part of the meal. It was crispy and had good seasoning to it. I am happy they were cooked in beef tallow. The onion rings were also delicious. Crispy and exactly how a good onion ring should be. The boneless wings had its pros and cons. They were good sized pieces. There was plenty of sauce and all the wings were coated. However, they were very soggy. The portions of the blue cheese and especially the chocolate shake were very small in my opinion. My blue cheese was no where near capacity of the cup. And my milkshake, while very delicious, came in a coffee cup so it was about 6-8oz. Overall, my meal was decent. Expensive but what isn't these days. I am willing to give them another try.

TOYS, as a theme catches your eye and your fancy, and provides a sense of comfort, really. If you're of a certain age, you HAD some of these pieces when you were a kid. I certainly did. But what links Toys, Bourbon and BBQ, I have no idea. Perhaps if you hit some fine pre-prandial herb it might make sense. I can remember that state of mind from my hippie days, and I think I may be on to something. The Q here is superb, at prices that will make you clean your glasses to make sure you saw it correctly. The perfectly-seasoned rib rack is HUGE (see photo below), with the right amount (and right flavor) of smoke. The pulled pork and brisket is the same quality. The sauces taste home-made and if you like it HOT, the ghost-pepper variety will not disappoint. Someone in this kitchen knows what they are doing. There are a few miscues (not enough to put me off my feed, but I report it all nonetheless): The Slaw is a little underseasoned. Hit it with some salt and it's great. The vaunted "spicy potato salad" isn't exactly a "must-have", I'd stick with the regular "mustard-style" tater-salad. There's a pulled Chicken which I haven't tried yet, but there isn't a bone-in BBQ chix option. I'll bet they'd knock it out of the park if there was one. And then there's the bar. A heroic variety of Bourbons, and the guy who curates the collection (I think his name is Phil) really knows his stuff inside and out, even if he looks more like a farmhand than a Bourbon Sommelier. They also have a smashing selection of Irish Whiskies. Note Bene: Make sure you have a designated driver. Trust me. In and amongst the toys, all this great booze is offered for sale. They also have a variety of THC-infused beverages on the menu. With this excellent Q, the mind boggles. Plus...toys. As far as Circuses, the service is homey and efficient, with sports on the TV, and picnic tables as a seating choice. A fine feed indeed, and it doesn't do that bad of damage to your pocketbook. We've always wanted to find a place that was in the same league as the Q joints found in the South, and I think we hit on a winner here. Worth the drive, that's for sure. Epilogue: Here's the wicked pissah: For a while, South Moon was open not more than a mile from Stately Breakwind Manor, here in the far southwest Chicago Burbs; in a building that until recently never had a winner in it. We didn't go 'cos we didn't like the building (idiots,we). If you take a look through Yelp for this region most every Q stop is compared to South Moon-believe them.
