Chick Fil A at 10503 NW Military Hwy, San Antonio, TX 7823 is not what it used to be--portion shrinkage and noisy atmosphere. I ordered 12 grilled chicken nuggets and a side salad for $13.62 with tax, and was surprised by how small the portions were. The nuggets were tiny and came in a small half-filled bowl, and the salad felt more like a garnish than a side. For the price, I expected more substance. The restaurant was packed--kids, families, lots of noise. It felt more like a school cafeteria than a place to enjoy a meal. I ended up doing take-out with my food to escape the chaos. I understand rising costs, but the value just isn't there anymore. Other local spots offer far more food, great service and peace for the same price. Chick-fil-A may still have the brand recognition, but it's charging premium prices for snack-sized portions. read more

Had a horrid experience on Saturday Dec 13. The manager on staff was rude to my family. She threw the tray on our table. Was dismissive and did not listen to anything we tried to say. Not recommended to dine here. Whataburger next door would be a better choice. Will not return. read more

She said our strawberry shake would be brought to our table. As we were seated, waiting on our food, an employee came by and told us the store was closing and asked if we wanted bags for our food?!? Appalled, we asked for the manager to come and tell us. The manager approached with a nasty attitude and didn't know the backstory, nor did she hear what we had to say. She was dismissive, very passive-aggressive, saying we were yelling at her when we weren't. My husband asked her to please leave, and we were gonna eat, but she slammed our trays down in front of us. I recently went to Chick Fil A Alon town center with my 5 month old daughter for the first time and It was an AMAZING experience. My food was fresh, and the staff was attentive and catered to our every need! Truly exceeded every expectation and we will be making a return very soon. My food sat there for 10 min. No one called my name. I told the cashier it was for here, but on the receipt, it says to go. I ordered the grilled chicken combo. My fries were too salty and cold. My order is usually wrong. 8/10 times to be honest. My fries are never even warm. Chicken is never crispy like other locations. When it comes to ordering food, I could stand in line for over 5 minutes and not even a hello or " I'll be right with you " is ever said. Multiple employees talking with each other ( not work related ) but are okay with ignoring customers. The times I've been here, never a thank you or their usual " my pleasure " is said. 1/21/25 about 4:20p.m.-4:30p.m. Younger gentleman took my order and the one time they're not outside taking orders and I didn't pre-order they got the chicken wrong. I come here all the time and never have had issues. I asked for the spicy grilled deluxe and take off the cheese and tomato. Why would I order a regular deluxe just to take those items off as thats the only upgrade it offers?? I only order the spicy grilled deluxe since theres no regular grilled spicy. I have to get back to work and eat in a timely manner and had no other choice but to eat it, I can't go back and get it fixed and waste my time on something like this. Completely unacceptable that I went out of my way to redeem my rewards (that I earned by going A LOT) and the manager David and his shift leader could have cared less. Came back to try this place and left disappointed yet again. Noticed there were cars in the drive-thru so I attempted to go through and it was closed so I parked and went in through the front door and stood there for a moment and nobody said anything and the inside was really messy so I walked to the register only to quite literally get yelled at by an employee that I can't be in here and I need to get out of here and they're closed, she then proceeded to follow me to wipe down the door without explaining or apologizing for the inconvenience which left a horrible impression. There's no signage stating the inside ordering is off limits unlike other fast food restaurants so how is one supposed to know? I just think this comes down to bad business management seeing as how many less than ideal experiences I've had at this location I will happily visit the Update: I've been here a few times since and the staff isn't very friendly, slightly passive aggressive and they are always gossiping at the drive thru window and the service hasn't really improved much, hasn't gotten worse either. I came here for breakfast and my egg white chicken sandwich looked so gross I should have just gone to McDonald's for a better one, it was practically missing the egg and the chicken was a dry as a brick. Needless to say I'm done trying this location for breakfast and will probably only return when desperate considering the new location down the road just reopened. Do not order online or thru the app. If they mistakenly do not give you your entire order even if the person at the window says that's everything when you get one small bag then you get home to find one of two sandwiches is missing & call to complain they will only replace the one item that is missing not the meal they ruined. We've been long-time customers of this store, and we've never had issues in the past. Tonight, our delivery order arrived without any of the sauces we ordered and the fries were only half full. When I called (hoping they would do something *anything* to make this right), they fed us robotic, corporate answers. They never even apologized for the inconvenience of having to come in to the store to complete our order, which is now cold as they refused to remake any of the food. Chick-fil-A has notoriously fast service. This spot is super convenient as it's next to my favorite HEB. I strolled in here because I don't like to grocery shop on an empty stomach, and I had a kid's meal with 6 nuggets, small fries, and a lemonade. I also got a spoon for a toy, but the cashier said if I wanted, I could exchange it for a soft serve cone. It was 45 degrees outside. I kept the spoon. Overall, no complaints on this end. I explained to Paulina that the receipt and even the sticker on the packaging stated "grilled" but I was given a fried filet. I also let her know the large fries I order were half filled. I also order 2 ranches and was given one. The receipt had everything correct, and the packaging was sealed, so the door dash delivery guy had no contact. She stated there was nothing she could do about it since it was through door dash. She wasn't willing to fix the fact that they got my order wrong. I really like the condiment offerings being available to compliment the sandwich. Polynesian sauce on the chicken sandwich for breakfast combines savory and tangy deliciousness bite after bite. This is not a diet meal. It also isn't a very light meal in the morning so be prepared as the combination of the chicken, bread, and hash browns can be a bit heavy. I asked for a vanilla milkshake and what do they serve me. They serve with extra kind treatment and a vanilla milkshake that is made differently than most fastfood milkshakes. From the sources i have picked up their milk shakes are "handspun" Furthermore, they asked if they may add whipped cream and a maraschino cherry on top. The drive-thru is decent. Food is good. I wouldn't recommend dining in though. We used to dine in here, but like some of the other Chick-fil-A locations we would see a lot of the kids here sitting in the booths near the bathrooms acting very unprofessional, using foul language, and trash talking customers. This is my second time that I have been to this location and they have messed up my order for specific dietary restrictions. I'm highly lactose intolerant and I ordered a market salad with no blue cheese and you can tell they grabbed a premade salad and removed the top blue cheese crumbles and left the rest throughout the salad. As I ate into my salad there was a bunch of blue cheese at the bottom This is very serious for people with dietary restrictions like myself. Will not return to this location read more

I get what I expect when I come to Chick-fil-A which is consistency with the food, service, cleanliness, and drive thru service and time. I appreciate that. I love the spicy chicken sandwich and recently tried the spicy grilled chicken sandwich. The flavor was just as good on the grilled sandwich, but the filet size was about half of the fried. Going here was nice and the driver thru person i spoke to was very nice, however I ordered a sandwich and got the completely wrong items. Two had the wrong cheese and out of the two sandwiches it was supposed to be spicy but was given a regular.
