This morning, I placed an online delivery order (#3080413) through the Chick-fil-A app at 9:45 AM from the Laurens Road location (Store #00466). I was charged at 9:45 AM for a free chicken biscuit redeemed from my rewards, a large hash browns, and an iced coffee with one extra shot of cane syrup. The order total was $13.80. The app initially stated that my food would arrive between 10:38-10:53 AM, but the delivery window continued to change: first to 10:47-11:02, then to 10:58-11:13, then to 11:03-11:18, and finally to 11:20-11:35. Since I needed the food before my 11:10 AM college class, I called the store at 10:57 AM to cancel my order. No one answered, so I left a voicemail. I called again at 11:01 AM, and once again, no one answered, so I left another voicemail to confirm my cancellation and to request that my free chicken biscuit reward be restored to my account, as the app did not provide me with a cancellation option. After these calls, I checked the app and saw that the order had been moved to my transaction history as a past order, confirming it had been cancelled. However, at 11:12 AM--after my class had already begun--I received a text from Thomas, the delivery driver, stating he was on his way with my order. Because of poor cell service in the building, I was unable to call him before he arrived. At 11:15 AM, I texted him that I was in Building 103 (the engineering building), and at 11:18 AM he replied that he was pulling up out front. I attempted to call him three times at 11:20 AM, but the calls failed due to service issues. When I finally stepped out of class, I found him by a faculty member's office door. He asked if I was Bridgette, handed me the food, and left without offering any apology for the delay, the miscommunication, or the inconvenience caused by the fact that the order had already been cancelled. Since food is not allowed in my class, I was unable to eat it until 12:52 PM. At that point, the order was no longer fresh. Furthermore, I have not received a refund for the $13.80 charge, nor has my free chicken biscuit reward been returned to my account. This experience was frustrating and disappointing. I ordered well in advance to ensure I could have breakfast before class, but despite cancelling the order twice and leaving voicemails for the store, the order was still delivered late, disrupting my class and leaving me with a meal I could not enjoy as intended. Additionally, I was left without a refund or the restoration of my reward. It was inconsiderate not only to ignore my request for a refund and the return of my reward, but also to assume that simply handing me late food was an acceptable solution. The lack of communication and concern for me as a customer was extremely disappointing, especially as I waited hungry up until the start of my class with the expectation that my order would be handled properly. read more

This must be one popular chick fil a since the drive thru was absolutely packed. The lanes were actually a bit interesting since it curved around and reminded me of drivers ed. My coworker and I came for breakfast and got a spicy chicken biscuit with honey. It took about 15-20min to get our order but wasn't surprised considering the morning rush. I always forget to utilize mobile apps for places and decided to dust off the Chick-fil-A app for some breakfast. I didn't know they had a breakfast burrito, or that I had about 600 unused reward points. I opted to save my points for future visits (bc this location has never disappointed me), and ordered the sausage scramble + hashbrown burrito with a side of hash browns (bc "potato" is my word for the day). The burrito was thick and wrapped in a yummy, almost gummy, thin tortilla. I'm used to more "bready" and floury tortillas but this one was a nice and unexpected change! It went well with the fillings; plenty of egg, good portion of sausage (and not the gristly kind that surprises ya with unexpected dental appointments), and flaky hash browns. I think the side of hashbrowns are different than the ones in the burrito but I could be wrong. The sides are always crunchy on the outside and flaky in the middle with the right amount of salt; never too greasy. Service-wise this location is always on point with friendly staff with genuine smiles. Granted, I went in the morning (8:30am) but I've visited other times and the positivity was consistent! Drive-thru pickup for mobile orders is a breeze and is even a last chance to change/update your order. All in all, great location with great food and awesome employees! read more

Service was super slow and caused me to miss 10:30 cutoff for breakfast. Employees then were rude about the time being up. If a customer is taking five minutes to know what they want right before the cutoff please find a way to deal with that. Need faster service possibly. read more

I usually don't have much bad to say about chic fil a except for the lines. This chic fil a was bad. When we got there and ordered our food it just looked messy inside. Also there were little to no condiments or napkins or utensils or table cloths for kids. Next we got my kids meals. My one child found a hair in his nugget box. I thought it was from the table and I tossed it on the ground and he said it was actually from his box in his mouth. Yikes. Before we left I went to the bathroom. I had 2 employees walk in behind me. The one shoved passed me when I held the door open and didn't say thank you. It was very odd. The second one still had an apron on. She went into the stale and after I assume using the bathroom came out washed her hands and went back into the kitchen. Honestly one of the grossest things I've witnessed. I've worked at restaurants with the same plastic aprons and we took them off and threw them away or hung them up. The hygiene here is lacking. This location was torn down and rebuilt about a year ago. Previously it was drive through only and now they have an indoor seating for about 125 people. It runs like a well oiled machine. There are two lanes for the drive through and this automatic belt conveyor system delivers the bagged food order from inside to the outside kiosk. Just when you think you have seen everything. Other than that, this is classic culture Chick-Fil-A - clean, polite service, good quality food, good variety of food and a system that can handle crowds and a lot of volume all at once. This is probably the second worst Chick Fil A I've visited in my lifetime. There is always something missing, or just something wrong. On at least 2 occasions when I've ordered online & arrived at the parking area to have my food brought to the car, they have brought a drink with no straw. They turn & just about ton after dropping off the food, do both times I've had to get out of my car & go into the restaurant to get a straw. Today, I got my salad & dressings, but only the one small scrap of napkin that comes in the package with the fork, and both of my dressings felt like another dressing had broken open & leaked on them, so trying to eat was quite messy. My meal also took a very long time to get to the car - I had received the message that it was ready & would be delivered, but 3 people who pulled up long AFTER I had arrived got their food before I did. It took a full 8 minutes AFTER the message for my food to arrive with a halfhearted "sorry about the wait." Very poor service! read more

Ever since I got awful food poisoning from the Haywood road location, I have been going to the Lauren's road location instead. I am shocked and honestly grossed out that several members of my family also got sick from eating here. My girlfriend's sister had to go to the hospital because she was so sick. She was vomiting so much the doctors thought she might have been having a heart attack. But they identified it as food poisoning. The hospital advised her to contact the restaurant. When we looked into it, the owner is the same one as Haywood Road! Who, when I got food poisoning, told me it had to have been my inability to clean my own counters! Seriously!?! Couldn't even say they were sorry I was unwell. Just found this in my drafts after my friend got us sandwiches from this location and the sandwich came with no meat on the bun. I don't know what the problem is with this restaurant because I had never had a bad experience here before today. It was my first time coming here since the rebuild and it wasn't worth it. I was in line for about 15 minutes before ordering. I at least thought the food would be fresh and hot but that wasn't the case. I don't eat fast food that often so when I do it's a treat for my girls and I and we're excited about it but this Chick Fil A just let us down.
