Slowest ever in life! I usually avoid this location because no matter if people are working the line or not... it is slow!

If you are going to charge $4 for mac and cheese, the least you could do is make sure it's in the bag!

I have always been a fan of the chick-fil-a sauce and my cashier mentioned to me the Polynesian sauce and how it's her favorite so I said I would try it.

The good first, though: Whatever the flaws in its business model, Green District still turns out well-conceptualized salads that always seem fresh and tasty. The Hide & Go Greek is a very nice chicken one with a robust, terrific dressing. The Thai One On salad is (you guessed it) an Asian-influenced one with shrimp, lots of cabbage and cilantro, and a kind of generic but fresh-tasting Asian-style ginger-heavy dressing. Also very good. Fortunate thing you can order online and don't have to verbalize those unwieldy salad names to a fellow human. (But if you think those names are bad, another one wants you to hold its beer: the Tequila Mockingbird.). Anyway, the food gets this to three stars, but only barely. Alas, the service at this location is a shambles. Count on at least a 35-minute wait, even if you order right after 11am, when things presumably ought not to be backed up. And it looks like chaos back there--just not enough employees back there, most likely. Last time it took this restaurant an incomprehensible 50 minutes to get my salad out. (Who with a regular lunch "hour" downtown has time for this?) Credit to the unflappable and put-upon young fella at the end of the line; he kept doing his job steadily and kept cheerful about it. The manager is always madly rushing about and isn't nearly as cheery (but it almost certainly isn't her fault, either). It astonishing that the food can be is good as it is in this environment. There's something very wrong about this restaurant's business model when the family-run lunch spot down the street (seemingly just as many orders) can crank out your to-go salad (as good as here, for the most part) in three to five minutes and be as friendly as they can be about it. Whoever came up with the plan has some major issues to resolve.

I ordered the Chicken & Waffles expecting actual chicken; not a processed, pre breaded chicken pattie. I sent my dish back & opted for the house salad which had brown lettuce under fresh (word to the chef: lettuce turns brown quickly when knife cut, not so if shredded by hand). My sister ordered the Cod Fish & Chips w/ coleslaw. She received 4 slightly large, overcooked fish sticks (we laughed) w/ fries. She chose not to eat the fish. We were prewarned the coleslaw was awful, so she opted for a salad w/ no tomatoes (which she dislikes). He salad arrived w/ tomatoes which she picked out. Our great aunt (arrived from another city) ordered the meatloaf dinner w/ greens beans & mashed potatoes. She said the green beans had a metallic taste (possibly canned) & the potatoes were bland (possibly boxed made w/ water). Others in our party enjoyed the ribs, fajitas & quesadillas. Needless to say we'll not return to this restaurant nor recommend the food. Good Luck to all the dare!

The bread they bring you is mouth watering. My husband had the steak and it was exactly what I want steak to be. I had the shrimp and grits and they were so, so good. Several of the dishes had marinated cherry tomatoes. I do not like tomatoes but I loved them. Every detail was so well done. The service was perfect and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Here is what they did well: - great bread, truly amazing as house made - gelato was fantastic - pretty inside/decor - sides were pretty good Here is where it went south: - our serve was very casual and almost seemed put off by us. Meanwhile 2 other tables received a happy birthday, with a candle and dessert - when going to a "steakhouse" is that you go there expect to have an amazing steak. Not the case, my "medium" steak was cooked half medium half rare. For a filet it was also very fatty. when I asked the server (probably 25 minutes after our food was served) she said it didn't look medium and offers to put it back on. no apology Overall it felt very underwhelming and when you pay $70 for a steak you expect it to be right. On top of that celebrating a special occasion, for a $200 meal for 2 people, it Was a bland experience. We've heard amazing reviews so hopefully your experience will be different than ours! We said we'd give it another shot but not going with steak.
