As Chic-fil-A goes, this is a probably the best one I have ever visited. In fact, it's one of the best run fast food establishments I have ever seen. What strikes you upon visiting this restaurant is its organization. Even the parking lot is organized, with the drive through lane sectioned off with a concrete bump from those who are dining in. When you enter the restaurant, you are greeted with an immaculately clean condiments counter and a team of people waiting to take your order. Everyone is so professional and a the ready. The food is always quick to come out. But if there is a delay, your food is delivered to your table. I have also never been to this restaurant when the manager/representative has not asked how I was enjoying my meal. It's one thing to ask, but the restaurant clearly takes note of what patrons are saying. They obviously care about their customers and it actually shows. You don't see this in fast food restaurants...heck, you barely see it in any restaurant nowadays. It's impressive. Did I mention that the manager offers to get additional ketchups, sauces, or drink refills for you--whatever you need? It's no wonder that this restaurant has one negative: the crowd. If you plan to visit during any meal time, get ready to contend with a LOT of people. And it's not just the people but the children. They are extremely noisy. There is a play area but it can only hold so many people. Note that Chic-fil-A offers free wifi. I have seen several people knocking out work on their laptops inside. I don't think I have ever felt compelled to offer such a thorough review of a fast food restaurant. But this one is just *that* good. Seriously they went above and beyond when my order was wrong (6 piece instead of a 12 piece) I was extremely annoyed and frustrated I had to turn around due to the traffic, running late as it is, and my kids were screaming In the back they were hungry. It's almost a personal principle - I never give five stars to a fast food joint. But this place came close to making me break that. To give a consolation prize, they can have **4.5** stars! Fast service, lots of folks at the registers to minimize the wait, and the ability to grab as many condiments as I need (I'm a huge ketchup freak - I'll eat 12-15 packets with my Whopper meal) made this place high up on my list of places to eat while I'm on duty. With that being said, the Chick-fil-A in Abingdon is hands down my favorite fast food establishment in Maryland. Their service is impeccable and I eat there a minimum of three times per week with never having an error in my order. If you have never tried this franchise, make your way there soon. I don't think I've been to a bad Chick-fil-A or ever had bad service at one of their locations. So this is no exception. My family and I have been here numerous times (it is one of the closest locations to us). It was closed for a little while at the end of last year for renovations and we came for the first time since they re-opened on Saturday. The most noticeable thing they did is added a drive-thru lane so now there are two, which is great because this location is always so busy. This second lane is a great addition for those on the go and will hopefully reduce the wait time for the drive thru. The other noticeable thing is inside in the play area and if you don't have little ones, then you might not even notice it at all. However, there used to be a little tree thing that was there. I don't really know how to describe it because it was a weird little thing with a step or two up inside a play tree and that's all it really was. Anyway, this is gone. So those were the only things that I noticed. My husband thought the lighting was different, but I couldn't remember what the old ones looked like. Service was great as usual and so was the food. My kids love the children's meals and books inside. Employees come around often and ask if you need napkins, straws, sauce, refills, etc and they are happy to get it for you. I love that and it really makes a difference when choosing which fast food place to grab a bite to eat. Unless it's Sunday :) read more

We made a road trip pit stop to this Chick-fil-A. The drive-through moved quickly, which was good because we just wanted to get back on the road. The fries tasted a little "old" and weren't salted enough for my tastes, but the sandwich was on point with other Chick-fil-A's. Those with a gluten allergy or Celiac Disease, stay away. My fiancé and I were here mid afternoon, on a Saturday, when it wasn't even that busy. I ordered a gluten free bun with the grilled chicken patty. After a few minutes of waiting (sitting down), our food was brought to our table. I opened my gluten free bun, to discover it was rock-hard frozen. I handed it to an employee behind the counter and simply asked for a thawed GF bun. After a minute or two standing there, the associate came up to me and stated it should only take a couple minutes and they'll bring another out to my table. I sat down at the table to my cold waffle fries. I finished my waffle fries, and an employee brought out a gift card for a free sandwich and stated currently all GF buns are frozen, and it should only be a few more minutes while they thaw. I was very thankful for the little gift card, but was already rather upset with my experience. My fiancé has now finished her meal, and our table was cleared, aside from my (now cold) grilled chicken patty. Over ten minutes after the time I handed over my bun, a GF bun was brought to our table and a different employee stated, "We're sorry, but this is the best we can do." I opened this one, excited to finally try and enjoy my cold sandwich, only to find this bun was as rock-hard frozen as the first one. [Side note: I am also a diabetic, and had already taken the appropriate amount of insulin for the carbs in the bun.] I forced down the hard, cold bun with my cold grilled chicken. Unfortunately I will not recommend this location to anyone, especially not during a time when they're busy. Based on my experience, in the middle of the afternoon, I couldn't imagine my scenario during a busy lunch or dinner time. read more

What can I say? Chick-fil-A is an icon of chicken sandwich perfection, and this location is no different. Every sandwich I've ever had here has been juicy, tender, and beautifully crispy. I've never had to wait in line for more than 3 minutes, even when the place is packed. Food comes out quickly and is always hot, fresh, and deliciousoften times when the restaurant is not busy I've had employees come out to the table and all to refill my drink, or ask if everything is good. I hadn't been to CfA in a while and I had a free chicken sandwich and I'm glad I did . First to say that the sandwich was only warm and had heavy taste to the oil it was Frye's in. There was no pickles with it either. The young lady that waited on me seem as if I were inconvenienced her. I am slightly earring impaired . I had to asked her to repeat what she said and I guess she got upset . It was very loud because it was lunchtime. I may go back but for now it will be awhile. read more

Don't normally write reviews for "fast food" restaurants, but felt it necessary to put in a good word for this Chick-fil-A. Each and every time I dine there the service and food are great. You are only in line for a few seconds before someone asks to take your order and once taken, they tell you to go to your seat and bring the food out to you. They also come over during the meal and ask if you need anything else (drink, napkin, etc) As a parent with a 2 year old child, I can't stress enough how valuable a service that is. All said, the management and employees are to be commended for their outstanding service and food. read more

Chick Fil-a NEVER disappoints! Their customer service is impeccable and although the drive through line is always long they've renovated and now have two ordering stations at the drive thru instead of one. It's very quick even when the lines are long. They always get my order right and always give me the amount of sauce I want. No skimping! There's nothing negative I can say about this place!
