Real good people, hiring real good people with integrity, class and standards. Highly recommend all services offered.

Before I write this review, I think I should define what CSS means to me. It's childcare insurance, flexibility, freedom, and piece of mind. I've used CSS for 5 years now (since my oldest was 2 and youngest 3 months) and have met a number of sitters over the years 20? 30? And they are amazing. ALL of them. Not some. Not one. ALL. They love kids. They are smart. They are mature. And my children cannot wait to see them come back. Why are they great, bc Tori the owner is great. She advocates for both the parents and sitters and takes out the guesswork. She thoroughly interviews each and every sitter to ensure they are the right fit and can properly represent the CSS name. I've delayed on writing this review bc I'm not a reviewer. Good or bad, it's just not something I do. But people should know about CSS. It's been a blessing to be able to use the service and meet great, reliable sitters, and alway have an advocate for childcare in this big city to make sure my kids are safe. Thank you CSS. thank you Tori. read more

Having worked as a sitter for this agency for almost a year, I can say it has been an incredible experience!! It is truly wonderful to have a team match you with families based off your expertise and comfort level. There is never any going in blind, and Tori and the team are amazingly supportive. Boundaries and policies are clear and enforced, allowing for accountability on the part of myself as a sitter and families. For example, I love their cancellation policy-- as a sitter, you won't lose out on compensation because a family cancels last minute! It's amazing to know that your time is truly valuable, and CSS admin will always have your back. Love love LOVE working with them :-) read more

I have been a part of Chicago Super Sitters (CSS) for years now and it really is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work. As a sitter for CSS, I value the flexibility of scheduling and how I can work as much or as little as I want based on my full time job & my personal life. I have ad such wonderful opportunities to explore different neighborhoods/communities, met such generous and loving families, and I feel so safe/secure doing so based on the vetting process for both families and sitters! I highly highly recommend considering applying here if you love working with kids, if you love empowering families to spend time with each other, and if you love a company that will be your biggest advocate! read more

If you are looking for a sitter of any sort, this organization is full of fabulous sitters! I recommend it.

I love Chicago Super Sitters! I have had wonderful experiences every time I have used them. They truly take allllll the stress and work out of finding great babysitters. The sitters have all been on time, responsive, and just all around great people. They all have instantly engaged my 18 month old and he doesn't even notice when I leave. I absolutely recommend them! The owner is also super nice and helpful. read more

This review is LONG overdue considering we've used Chicago Super Sitters exclusively for our childcare needs going on 4 years now! I nervously contacted Tori when our daughter was 11 months old and she immediately made me feel comfortable - with her philosophy, her process in screening and selecting sitters, and in her own extensive background in childcare. At that point, we'd only ever left our little lady with grandparents and we were overwhelmed by finding a trustworthy local sitter but desperate for regular date nights. Since that day, we've been fortunate to have dozens of wonderful Super Sitters care for our now two children, some of whom we've gone on to use in recurring capacities as nannies (another service of CSS!). Tori and the CSS team have been dependable, professional, and incredibly responsive to all of our needs from Day One. I can't imagine being on this wild adventure of parenthood without CSS and they will always be my first call when the need arises! read more

Chicago Super Sitters are amazingly responsive and helpful. Tori is a master at finding the right sitter to work with us and watch our daughter and they are professional, safe, and extremely caring. We've loved every sitter that CSS has matched us with and we're going to use them for years to come! I highly recommend using Chicago Super Sitters. read more

Oh baby! Thank heaven for Chicago Super Sitters (& little girls;) About 2 years ago, I became a mom. During our 10 years of marriage my husband and I had traveled, gone to dinners, movies, shows. We read, watched sunrises, slept in, skateboarded. We picked each other's noses if we felt like it. All the stuff that can be impossible to do with a toddler around. Who knew showers would become so appreciated?! A bike ride? Finishing my novel? HAHAHA. I was completely overwhelmed. I didn't really want to get a nanny. I mean, what's the point of having a kid if someone else is going to raise them IMO. But with my husband working 24/7 and I keeping my job part time, I was starting to think about my options. Then I broke my arm. My right one at that! OH NOOOOO. My mom flew up to help but could only stay 2 weeks. A broken arm is a 2-3 month adventure. I couldn't drive, change diapers, give baths, or pick her up. I desperately reached out for help. Tori and her team were there for us and have been ever since. I had never had anyone but family watch over my child and I was scared. I honestly didn't even know "how" to lol. I'm a do-it-yourself type gal, asking for help isn't easy. We began with a few sitters coming in and assisting. These days we purchase Supercard packs and get the heck outta dodge for a bit on a regular basis. My daughter has loved every sitter and so have we. I can honestly say we've never had a bad experience. Treat yoself;) Get to know these super sitters and let them help make life a bit easier. Book in advance if possible. Especially around the holidays. It's cheaper and CSS is obviously quite popular. Our favorite sitters have been Cortez, Laura C, Carly Jo, Amina.. but all are lovely and great with kids. Don't know what we'd do without them..definitely getting less showers, that's for sure. read more

I was anxious about using a service to find a full-time weekly sitter but one phone call with Tori made me feel 110% confident. Their group of sitters are largely recommendation based, highly vetted, and unbelievably great. Everyone we've had has been exactly who we hoped they'd be and more. Tori takes each family's needs into consideration and matches them with sitters she feels would be the best fit. And she's right on. It's a great feeling to know we'll always have a wonderful sitter for our son when we need one. Would recommend over and over. read more

Chicago Super Sitters is a great resource for responsible, interactive sitters. They can easily provide a sitter on short notice, and the rates are reasonable. I have referred many friends and clients to Tori & the Super Sitters and everyone is impressed with how easy and reliable they are. They have all their bases covered and can keep up with the "usual routine" for bedtimes, meals, and behavioral expectations PLUS they provide a super fun sitter to play with... I trust them 100%. read more

We used Chicago Super Sitters for our October 2016 wedding and were really happy about everything. I got recommended to Tori from a friend who is a mom and has used them before. I contacted Tori and she responded so quickly. I was so impressed with the whole process from start to finish. Tori was so helpful to walk me through the process and then additionally helping me get the right package for the amount of kids we would have and how old those kids are. She also helped us figure out the best place to have all the kids, activities for the kids that night, and getting food for the kids. Once we got all the names for the kids that were going to be with the babysitters, Tori contacted the parents to talk to them about their kid(s) and learn more about them as well as sharing all the information about the sitters that would be watching the kids. All the parents I talked to said their kids had so much fun and they were so thankful we had the service so they could have a fun date night and really celebrate with us. If we ever have kids, I will definitely call on them again. I highly recommend them for a wedding and a normal night too. They were so professional, friendly and helpful! read more

We love Chicago Super Sitters. We first started using CSS when our daughter was an infant. We have loved every sitter that we've had and trust that Tori has vetted them. We've never had a no-show or last minute cancellation by a sitter. I would highly recommend CSS. read more

My wife and I first found Tori and her amazing team as we were planned a trip to Chicago from Toronto, with our 6 year old son in tow. Much as we love our boy (and we do!) the thought of calling it a night in a city like Chicago at 8pm wasn't that appealing. So after emailing, facetiming, yelping, and linkedin-ing Tori and Chicago Super Sitters, we decided to hire a babysitter to watch our boy on vacation (and were very nervous about it). But we could not have been happier with Alex, the young woman that babysat our boy. Right on time, had ideas on what to do, took him out to the park, Alex was great. We had a great time and were able to hire her again for the next night too! Chicago is an amazing city and we would have missed all the nightlife it has to offer, if we hadn't planned ahead and made a great choice. Highly recommended. read more

I signed on working for CSS in October of 2019. After a very thorough and lengthy 3-part interview, I was welcomed on board. The great thing about this agency is they are completely transparent for both parents and sitters! Each party has a profile to fill out, and everyone knows ahead of time who they are about to meet before entering your home! I appreciate the information, more importantly the safety factor for both parties involved. This is an agency that ensures a win-win for everyone involved! I have a profile on some other "well-known" websites that are now inactive. I found people were either not considerate of time, and not serious about their care-seeking needs. When I book with CSS then, I know this family has follow through and that we both benefit from this service! The owner and staff are 110% professional and expect those of us that represent to do the same! I have met some really great families that have resulted in plenty of regular gigs that I appreciate!!! read more

I have worked for Super Sitters off and on for several years and I love it! Tori is amazing and makes sure sitters are supported and heard. It is so easy to get gigs that fit your schedule and the best part is getting the blurb and feedback on the family so you feel really prepared before going in. I have loved meeting all the different families and kiddos. It really is the best option for someone looking for a side babysitting hustle! read more

I started babysitting with Chicago Super Sitters in the fall of 2016, and I absolutely LOVE it! Tori does an amazing job placing sitters with compatible families, and she and her crew give you a lot of information about each placement up front so that you can come prepared and ready to help in the best way possible for each family. I am not from Chicago originally, so when I wanted to start babysitting to be with kids more and earn extra income, it was difficult to know where to start. Chicago Super Sitters has been an amazing opportunity as their network continues to grow - there are no shortage of jobs if you want to work! If you're looking for work and love children, I think CSS is a wonderful organization to get involved with. Not to mention, you get to meet a bunch of amazing families along the way! read more

There are not enough stars or words to describe how amazing this service is or its owner, Tori! I rely 100% on this service for all of my babysitting needs. Whether its a last minute request or weeks in advance, Tori delivers a qualified, amazing, loving, fun sitter each and every time. Her vetting process is thorough and her sitters always exceed my expectations. I have never, I repeat NEVER had a sitter I didn't love or would use again. The professionalism, care and attention to detail is also amazing. I always book through the website, receive an email response that my request was received and later receive another email with my sitter's name, contact information and a detailed description of their background and experience. The sitters always arrive on time, are communicative while we are out and my daughter has a great time playing and interacting with them. From start to finish this is a company and service that I cannot live without, am consistently impressed by and adore all of the wonderful sitters it brings our way! Chicago Super Sitters is truly that...SUPER. I highly recommend this service and promise your experience will be amazing as well! Now go plan your date night and call Chicago Super Sitters ASAP! :) read more

I'm so proud to work for such an amazing company! I've gotten to meet so many great people, including fellow sitters as well as families from all over the city. Tori and her crew are efficient, organized and appreciative. They ensure that matching between family and sitter are good fits for both parties. I've found that the families I've worked for are extremely satisfied with the service and excited to have an easy way to consistently get a reliable and qualified sitter. A lot of time and care is taken into choosing the best possible sitter for the situation, and it shows! read more

We recently left Chicago, and have had to use other services for finding child care. I can't tell you how much we miss Tori and Chicago Super Sitters. They are fantastic, and I so appreciate that Tori personally matches sitters with families. That just isn't the case with most other services. Thanks Tori. We miss you!! read more

This is a very confusing business model. I was recruited by the owner and/or hiring recruit, Carrie, and put through an intense hiring process. I am a 9th grade English Special Education Teacher with both a Bachelor's and Masters Degree and 15 years of experience nannying for children with special needs and 3 years+. I gave 2 references (both references had to fill out an online form) completed a phone interview. during the phone interview, Carrie told me that after my references took time out of their day to complete the forms, we would set up an in-person interview. However, the next day, I received an email (not a phone call) simply stating that "you are not the right fit." This company is completely misleading and I would not recommend any sitters they have if they would not hire an Illinois State Highly Qualified educator. read more

I moved to Chicago last year and had a baby so I knew no one and had no real long term friends or family I could rely on to babysit my little bubba. My husband and I were keen to explore the City but were too nervous to go to Care.com because it felt so impersonal and I mean, anyone could go on there! Another mummy friend of mine used this service and said they were great! Fast forward 8 months later and we've had nothing but great babysitter placements from Tori and she has never let us down. Very happy with their service and if you buy a supercard it works out even cheaper! I'd highly recommend :) read more

We went to Chicago for a wedding where both my kids (3 & 5) were in the bridal party... We had a sitter from Chicago Super Sitters help watch the kids pre-wedding through the end of the night. This was not an easy gig for the babysitter (I felt bad)... but our sitter was amazing! Our communications with Tori (owner) from the beginning were fantastic. She was reliable, friendly, and helpful. She even provided me a list of kid friendly things to do in Chicago. We were provided the perfect sitter... She was able to navigate a wedding of 175 strangers, deal with my clingy son and successfully get the kids to bed. I don't know what we would have done without her. I would recommend Super Sitters in a heartbeat. I felt like I was referred by a friend not a service. read more

I've been babysitting with Chicago Supersitters for several years and I'm so glad I found them! I can honestly say that it is a joy to work with Tori and all the families I've had the pleasure of babysitting with. I was able to consistently nanny when I had a part time job and now I am able to babysit when my schedule allows. The support and knowledge I received helped me a be a better babysitter and create strong bonds with kids and their families. No family or sitter is perfect, but Chicago Supersitters does a great job of matching families and sitters. They also encourage realistic expectations and give feedback to cultivate the best experience for everyone. read more

I cannot recommend Chicago Super Sitters highly enough. I'm a new mom with a three month old, and was in the process of trying to find a babysitter for the first time, a process that was making me very nervous. I came across this service online and liked both a) how we are paired with sitters, and b) the pricing structure. Re being matched with a sitter: Tori, the owner, is just fantastic. She takes the time to talk to you and meet with you if possible to find out what you are looking for and what type of children you have so she can make the best babysitter match. She has tons of experience and is extremely warm and sensitive to the fact that you are leaving your kids with someone you don't know. She works very hard to not only make sure all her sitters are "up to snuff," but also that you end up with a sitter that makes sense with your situation. After our meeting I felt 100% better about leaving my son alone. We've now used the service four times and have been paired with two amazing sitters who really seem to love kids and did a great job with our son, and also seemed the right fit for the two different jobs (twice we went out on a Saturday night, twice I had someone come during the day so I could run some errands, nap, shower, etc.). Couldn't be happier! Re the pricing structure: I did not want to sign up for a subscription service for the occasional sitter, and so I am a big fan of the pay as you go system. The SuperSitter Card is also a wonderful value. I also found it extremely overwhelming on other sitter sites to have to go through various profiles, etc. in order to pick a sitter based just on the sitter's assessment of themselves. I like how Tori has vetted all her sitters personally, and therefore can make a more informed decision than I can on who makes sense for me. However after I've met some of her sitters I have the opportunity to request people specifically. Best of both worlds. Bottom line, this service makes me comfortable enough to leave the house! Love it. read more

Tori and her team have been great. They are so responsive and fast to get back. I never worry that I won't have a sitter anymore. All the sitters they sent were great or awesome. I never worry when we go out when I'm booking with CSS. It's so easy to not have to screen and search for a sitter on your own- you never know what will come of it. With CSS I know a sitter will there and my kids will love her. I've recommended CSS to friends. Yes you can do it on your own, but for the small fee it worth it for busy moms. I'm new to Chicago too, so it was a great option. I'm booking a sitter for next weekend! read more

So my previous review was from my first time booking with Tori and Chicago Super Sitters in September of 2015. Fast forward to today, the same quality, the same awesomeness exists with the Nanny service. OMG! I can't say enough about how good it feels to have a reliable sitter service with the click of a button. Thank you! For all that you do! read more

Great service! Tori the owner is very responsive and reassuring. We have used this service twice and have loved both sitters--especially Angela! I highly recommend them. read more

So I decided to hire a sitter to come to my wedding, to try to minimize the screaming-baby quotient at cocktail hour and during the reception. I thought this was a possbily brilliant but possibly disastrous idea, as parents might not warm to the concept of handing their tiny people off to a complete stranger in a semi-public place (not to mention what I perceive as children's propensity to thwart all well-intentioned plans). All I can say is that Maryann was freaking AMAZING. She showed up early, bearing toys and a big grin, and the tinies were never seen or heard from again until it was time for their parents to carry them off into the night. They loved Maryann immediately and followed her everywhere. Then, after they left, she came and danced with us to Call Me Maybe. Ten stars. Twenty. Book her immediately. read more

We used Chicago Super Sitters for our September wedding. They provided babysitting services onsite at our wedding venue (in a separate room) during the ceremony and reception for 7 toddlers ages 2-5. They were fantastic throughout the entire process and very professional. Communication with Tori was easy and prompt, even when I had to change the number of kids repeatedly. I was a bit busy during the wedding so I didn't get a chance to peak in, but it seemed like the kids were happy and I didn't hear of any issues (which is the best news for a bride). This is a great option if you want to have an adult wedding but need to accommodate children for guests traveling from out of town, definitely worth the money. read more

As nervous first time parents, we were reluctant to use a sitter service, but with no family nearby, we gave it a try and I couldn't be happier with our choice. Tori and her crew have been wonderful! Always responsive, always able to come through. Not only have the sitters been great, the service itself is so convenient. It is so liberating to be able to make plans knowing I'll be able to get a sitter (even on short notice!). Truly no idea what we would do without them! read more

Chicago Super Sitters is literally the best thing that's happen to my family since our move to Chicago. Tori the owner is absolutely amazing, and her roster of childcare professionals is outstanding. It's so clear how much time she and her team take to carefully choose the best sitters to represent her brand. My son Jameson is now 1 but we began using the service when he was about 9 months old. Every sitter we've had has been wonderful and completely knowledgeable about care taking during every stage of his development. We've done everything from a recurring sitting arrangement to my emergency last minute day before sitting request. It's so easy to use the website to request sitters, leave sitter feedback, and purchase super sitter cards (such a great way to save on sitting fees!) I know that when kiss my baby boy goodbye he is in the best hands possible and I need anything Tori is just a call or keystroke away. Thank you Tori for such a wonderful childcare experience. Not having to worry about who is taking care of my child is worth it's weight in gold. read more

We have 4 high energy small kids, and we have relied heavily on Tori and her team for the last 3+ years. We have been consistently matched with sitters who can handle our very rambunctious crew. We have had a series of reliable, go-to sitters, and on the rare occasion our "regular" can't make it (or makes a career move to bigger and better things), Tori finds someone else to fill in. Her knack for matching is great. read more

Chicago Super Sitters is the BEST placement agency ever. Tori worked tirelessly to help us find the most perfect person on the planet to care for our 2 year old son on a regular basis. And she did it quickly. Caregivers were vetted, our requirements and wishes were taken into serious consideration and 1 week and 3 interviews later she found someone my son loves, who loves my son and couldn't be a more perfect fit for our family and lifestyle. I know this sounds like a bunch of hyperbole but it's not. I really don't think anyone could have done a better job finding us a sitter and I don't think anyone could have been a better sitter for our son. read more

We discovered Chicago Super Sitters when confronted with the inevitable babysitter crisis (last minute babysitter cancellation) and they were fantastic. We've been hooked on them ever since. We are from Indiana and we needed a sitter for a night in Chicago. Chicago Super SItters came to the rescue with a fabulous sitter who my child still asks me if we will see again. The sitter was on time, played games, read books, even made origami with my five-year-old - all in a small hotel room. I was very apprehensive to leave my child in a hotel room with a sitter I didn't know, but Chicago Super Sitters gave me a complete biography about the sitter along with references from other families about the sitter. It's clear Tori, who manages Chicago Super Sitters, does an extensive background check on her sitters, and she communicates well to make sure a family's needs are being met. I would 100% recommend this service! read more

This service is a lovely resource for parents. I only had to fill out my profile one time and an overqualified well-vetted sitter is sent whenever I request. They employ a beautiful diversity of sitters; each has been a unique and welcome addition to my son's social experiences. They are always eager to work really hard, even though my kid is pretty easy and their job usually consists of manning the baby monitor while he sleeps. Follow up is great in both the placement and review process. It takes so much stress out of planning a night out! The most pleasantly surprising part of working with CSS is the placement email, which contains the name and phone number of my sitter, as well as a short bio to introduce me without me actually having to do the interviewing. Makes me feel instantly comfortable leaving my child with the sitter when I know a little bit about them and their experience. Highly recommended! read more

We traveled to Chicago from out of town for a wedding, and we didn't know how to find a reliable babysitter to sit in our hotel room with a baby & toddler. We found Tori & have had a wonderful experience. She eased my mind while planning the sit, and even suggested some fun family activities we could experience before the wedding. Our sitter was wonderful - friendly, experienced, flexible, punctual, and a great communicator. The kids loved her! I would definitely recommend Chicago Super Sitters, and will use them again when I travel to Chicago. read more

I used to work for a "fancy" babysitting service in NYC, so when we had to find a service to watch our kids while at a wedding in Chicago, the snooty service here informed me that I would need 2 babysitters for a pair of 2 year olds and a 4 month old. I'm like, you're babysitters must not be very good if they can't handle 3 little ones. So I emailed Chicago Super Sitters, and Tori wrote me back immediately and said three kids, no problem ;) We ended up having an issue with our vacation rental and Tori immediately texted several possibilities. She goes above and BEYOND her call of duty, and so we decided to hire a last minute sitter to take the 2 toddlers to the zoo. Probably the best idea my sister in law and I ever had, lol. Tori was in constant communication with us from the time I first contacted her to when I left Chicago. She is a dream and her sitters (we used two different girls) were AMAZING. They handled our children like champs, and their patience is astounding :) I couldn't recommend them and Tori enough, do yourself a favor and hire this team for your next trip to Chicago, your kids will thank you! read more
