Although the name and the interior is a little deceptive, the menu is superb. The Prestbury Rarebit was a feast of oozy cheesy goodness, and the grilled goats cheese and beetroot salad was superb. I have it on good faith that the mushroom stroganoff was excellent as well. Sadly I was too full for desert (eating out three times in one day will do that to you) but the home made cakes looked delicious. According to the front-of-house manager (one half of the two sister owners), everything is made fresh in house using quality local ingredients. Definitely worth a visit if you're down that way.

I was told there were no onions for example, so I ordered without and asked them not to put a side salad on the plate. It arrived, with salad, featuring onions. I asked for some ham, in my cheese and tomato omelette. Although the ingredient was available, I wasn't allowed to add anything. Which really felt like people couldn't be arsed with us being there. My girlfriend is vegetarian, and for her it had quite a good menu, however things did seem quite overpriced.
