We ordered a large tip, with mixed sauce on the side and fried okra. The sauce is delicious; the tips were tender and have a slight smokiness taste to it, and the okra was just as delicious. My order finally came with several other orders and he called a different ticket number than mine. I asked if the food in the carousel was mine and he stated: " Man, do you want your food or not?" How rude can you get? At this location I tried to call ahead, but no one answered the phone. I noticed while I was patiently waiting for my order, the phone would ring, but no one would answer. I did see the counter person on his cell phone though. I'm on the email list since I've been a patron and it seems none of the locations accept online orders at the present time. You just have to appear in person and wait. In the past even when they were accepting online PAID in advance with TIP orders, you still had to wait. Because of the bad experience last night and their disrespect for patrons time, I am unsubscribing from their email list. There are other BBQ spots where the food is equal to or better and the service is courteous and friendly. Dinners come with about 20 fries and a forkful of coleslaw and a slice of bread. The ribs were huge with the tips still on which is unusual due to the cooking time being different for a rib vs a tip. It was smokey and tender enough for me though: however, my husband disagreed. He had the chicken which he said he liked. I went on a Tuesday and he believes all BBQ restaurants sell weekend ribs before Thursday lol I didn't think that was the case here. I ordered the food, paid online with my debit card, sent my son to pick up the order with the confirmation #, my DL, his DL and my form of payment and he had to drive back home to pick me up. Upon arrival, I'm asking why this was necessary and in the midst of me talking, the rude cashier interrupts, walks away and goes to get the manager. He explains, "This is for your protection". Then he asks MY SON for the same IDs, looks at them (not me) and goes to get our COLD FOOD. This entire ordeal started at approx. 6pm and we were finally able to get the food at 750pm. Questions to consider to be better: 1) Why not have a line for the people who called ahead or ordered online and a line for walk-ins?? Those who order ahead get a pick up time, but wait 30 min - 1 hr after arriving just to wait in line to say they pre-ordered and continue to wait bc the food IS NOT READY! I've waited over an hour after arriving at the time the order should be ready. Maybe a better question is, "Do you need more staff"? 2) If you've already taken my funds, who are you protecting other than yourself???? You have the money so if there was any fraud involved, it's too late for your protection! On top of that, my son waited 30 minutes in line just for this experience.
