My first time at Impact Field this summer and I look forward to returning next season…read more To start, the parking lot on site is easy in and out access and if you arrive early enough you can get a great spot. The stadium is spacious, clean and well laid out. I came to a game with my Diva Dance sisters for a pre-game, on field performance and we had a blast! The field was well-cared for and close to fans. The audience interaction between innings was entertaining to watch. And let's not forget those delicious stadium hot dogs! I did witness one family complaining about their cold food but mine was just right in temperature. The fan shop is cute too and found some items that were reasonably priced.

Minor league baseball is the way to get that live sports, summer-maxxing vibe, and Impact Field is…read morea great place for it. And it is sooooo affordable. Comfy seats, decent food, clean bathrooms, and genuinely fun entertainment between innings. I mean, who doesn't want to watch a couple of little kids suit up in inflatable suits and sumo wrestle? The Chicago Dogs have not done well on the nights we went, but losing to teams from nearby towns feels hard to resent. For the last game of the season, we watched them play the Gary Rail Cats. Hard to think of a more old-timey baseball team name than the Gary Rail Cats. It's hard not to get a Chicago dog to eat while you're warching the Chicago Dogs play, but those are only okay at this venue, so I would suggest splitting one among your group as a sort of appetizer and ordering something else for your actual food there. And of course, beer. Seats are comfortable, and the size of the stadium makes everything easy to get to. Less than thirty seconds from a front row seat to a bathroom. Which were still decently clean in the 8th inning. Yes, they have adjacent parking for $3. But the last time we used it, it took us nearly an hour to exit with the traffic management situation. So consider the real cost of $3 plus a little piece of your soul that you will never get back. Since then, we park in one of the nearby structures. If you park just across the highway by all the restaurants, you can stop in for a bite to eat or a drink and get the $20 charge validated down to nothing. That parking is about a fifteen minute walk to the field. But it's an easy walk. And walking past everyone sitting in their cars at the Impact Field parking structure, knowing you are a free human being-- well, that is priceless.

As expected, this arena is pretty pricey for food and drink (estimate $50 for 2 large drink cans)…read morebut I like the ease of getting in and out of this location. For comparison sake, I really liked the intimacy, vibe and look of nearby Rosemont Theatre for a smaller concert. There are plenty of local restaurants to dine at before a show. However, be prepared to wait in long restaurant and traffic lines to get in and park or exit a concert. Patience will definitely be needed. If you are using shared ride or getting picked up, walk to nearby Target or Ross Stores and get dropped off or picked up there instead. Although it was a Summer night, I am glad I opted for gym shoes vs. sandals, as the much used bathrooms had wet, disgusting floors and the Ladies room layout is very strange. There are two hallways of stalls but you have to walk back towards to stalls to use the hand dryers. Definitely not a well designed layout. But closed toe shoes are a must, in my opinion. For a concert (we saw Styx and Chicago) you can hear and see pretty well from section 101, Row H. Stairs can be challenging to navigate without a railing but ushers help light the stairs if it is dark. I have bad knees so I took the stairs very slow, so as not to trip...or spill my expensive drink either!

I have been seeing concerts and sporting events since this arena opened in 1980. Seats are somewhat…read moretight but you should have pretty good views and the sound quality is good depending on the sound technician. There are various food and beverage vendors throughout as well as a number of restrooms. The biggest complaint is the parking. Overpriced and very slow to get in and out. Overall,a decent place to see events outside of Chicago.

The Wolves are always fun to go see. It's a shame the attendance isn't what it used to be. Tickets…read moreare reasonably priced in my opinion, and they do a lot during the game to make it a worthwhile experience. Their pre-game show is far and away the best out of any professional sports team. Nothing better than lasers, pyro, and the heart pounding music of Motley Crue. Lot of funs things to do at the arena for the kiddos as well. The Skates Mates kids club was always a blast when I was younger. Fingers crossed they continue to do well in the playoffs!

I was really impressed…read morewith the entire experience from start to end from the efficient parking management and security screening to the amazing amount of side activities and picture opportunities that were available. There was never a dull moment during this entire experience. One way to really get a crowd energized from the start is with introducing the players with pyrotechnics which was followed by a great singing of the national anthem. The fast pace of the game and constant offense had the crowd constantly cheering, especially when the Wolves would score a goal. During the intermissions, it was great to wander around the arena which was complete with everything from backdrops to dog petting to merchandise purchases to fun photo opportunities with props. There was a good mix of things to do that were free and paid, and the lines weren't excessive. Between second and third period, I also got to see the mascot, watching a flying blimp, watch the Zambonis go across the ice, and try to get a free t-shirt. This definitely made the entire intermission super eventful and a lot of fun. Overall, I would definitely come back for another game. It was exciting and there was so much to experience. It was also definitely a great place to enjoy an experience with friends as the noise wasn't excessive so it wasn't too difficult to hear one another.
