This is the second time I came here for a mani pedi. First time was great. The technician was professional, efficient and did a nice job with my nails. I came here again in August, and was disappointed in the professionalism of my tech. She was on the phone the entire time (using an earbud in one ear) and took several 'breaks' to text, poke on her phone and talk to other staff. While usually I have ample time, this instance I only had 1 hour and 15 minutes to get in and out. I selected a pedicure with a shorter massage so I would be timely, and even asked at the beginning if they could be done in an hour- she said yes. As we neared the 45 minute mark, she had walked off for a period of time right in the middle of my pedicure. I finally grabbed her attention as she was walking by, and again had to tell her of my time limitation. She finally started focusing on my pedicure. In the end, my nails looked really good so it's hard to complain, but I wouldn't come here if you're on a time constraint. The only thing that saved me was the flight that was coming in with my family was delayed 20 minutes. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after three visits for the same service and repeated issues, I feel obligated to share my experience. I have been coming to Chic for about a year. My early experiences were good. This particular time, I came in for an acrylic overlay and polish change, something I have had done for all of my adult life, on a regular basis. From the beginning, the application was uneven and lacked basic attention to detail. My nails were like razors the first time. The worst part was within days, the polish began bubbling and peeling. I returned to have it corrected, only for the exact same issue to occur again shortly after. A few days later, it started peeling off again. Again the polish was ground off and reapplyed. This time the polish stayed on, but my nails began to break. By the third repeat visit, the condition of my nails had worsened significantly. It would stand to reason that after grinding off my polish twice, much of the acryllic was coming with it. Several nails began splitting at the nail bed and along the sides, and one nail broke completely in half. This level of damage is not consistent with normal wear and strongly suggests poor application, improper product use, or both. Instead of being concerned for the damage they had caused my nails or any desire to make it right, I was told they would fix just the two nails that were actively cracking across my nailbed. They weren't willing to do anything about the one that had broken in half or split down the side. I informed them that I would pay, I just wanted my nails fixed so they would stop breaking. I was then charged another $50 to "fix" the damage. In the process, I had to have a substantial portion of my nail length filed down to match the break, leaving me with shorter, uneven nails--at additional cost. It is going to take months for my nails to recover from what they did to them. What stands out most is not just the quality of the work, but the complete lack of accountability. At no point was there acknowledgment of the repeated issues, concern for the condition of my natural nails, or any effort to make the situation right, not to mention the amount of time I have had to spend over the last month with repeated trips. One of the techs tried to argue with me that they were only removing the polish and none of the acryllic while grinding my nails so that couldn't be why my nails were breaking. All they have to do is look at the front of their shirts, covered in white dust, to know that is a lie. After three additional visits, additional charges, and visible nail damage, this experience reflects a consistent lack of both technical skill and basic customer care. read more

I opted for gel nails and they did look beautiful and lasted a solid 2 weeks. But since then, my nails have been dull & brittle for the first time in my life & vertical cracks have appeared. Also, be aware that many of the nail salons in the Flathead Valley have different names but the same owners (as Chic) & the same system of doing nails. All of them will leave you with massive number of hangnails & poor nail/cuticle health. Make sure you do your due diligence & don't just opt for the salon that can get you in today! read more

I'm not very good at this since I feel bad saying bad things about a business. I gave the guy a really good tip just because I don't want bad blood and he had a really nice attitude but I just don't think he knew what he was doing!! Overall, when I got home and had time to check it out, I was really disappointed. I paid for the $99 pomegranate pedicure package with a $15 gel nails add on. He hardly paid any attention to my feet. There was no pomegranate soak, just plain water, then a very short scrub with basically a dish scrubber. No sugar scrub, no pumice. The guy used sugar scrub to massage my legs/calves for about 7 minutes. At one point it was so painful I had to ask him to stop. He didn't stop but he did apply less pressure. He did one leg where he put the pomegranate essence/extract on it (half of it went into the foot basin) then used regular oil and did yet another massage,. but then did there other leg where he put the oil on first then the pomegranate essence/extract and ALL of it went into the basin. He was sure to tell me that is very expensive and that the import it from England. He did the stones, which was nice... The wax, which was hot as hell and wrapped my legs in soured towels. They smelled awful. Very mildewed. . Then, BAM!!, he quickly removed the towels, took off the parafin and said , "okay, done bye bye". I know they have a timer and all but geewhz! I got home and when I took my socks off to show someone, I realized my soles were rough! They were exactly the same as when I went in. So very disappointing. So, $114 plus a $26 tip later, I feel kinda took. I dunno, the fellow was very nice, talked briefly about his family and all that but I was just not happy after all. read more

3 of us came in for pedicure and one of us got a decent pedicure. I've had many pedicures and this one was the least enjoyable. They fulled water but didn't soak feet first just started clipping etc and my feet were barely in the water so of course when I get home I can see dead skin around nails and paint job was just ok. I booked head spa for $120 because I really want to relax! And it was really bad! After head spa I feel more tired. Bed near me wasn't clean after another client. It was hair in a sink. Products are cheap and with bad smell. It was really painful fast rude and not relaxing!!! I have health problem with my neck and next day after appointment I have pain in my neck and feel really bad. Salon is new and beautiful but it's really dirty! Everything is dirty! Highly recommend to hire a housekeeper and start with a deep cleaning! Bathroom need a good clean! It's hard to talk or call because their English is really bad and I can't understand anything, they need to hire person with a good English! I booked the head spa and got the middle of the road treatment and it was $120, first thing I noticed was the bathroom. It was very dirty garbage didn't look like been taken out in a couple days . When the lady brought me back to the spa room it had a very funky almost sour soup like smell to it and was unkept as well , with the laundry spilling out of the basket, the bed next to me was unmade and all the lotions and oils scattered around on her tray. I noticed that the shampoo and conditioners that they would be using were just an Walmart brand and thinking in the back of my head paying $120 for a service I guess I was just expecting a better product to be used. The oil she used on my head was coconut oil from the cooking shelf. Next to the head massage, the lady was belching and moaning , breathing very very heavily . It sounded like she Was going to get sick on my head. Not only with the very disturbing sounds she was making. She was also very rough on my hair The idea of a sounded so nice and relaxing . I have been to this salon multiple times, always great customer service and good quality. I always recommend this salon to family and friends. After tonight, I WILL NEVER come back nor will I recommend this to anyone. My mother and I went in with the intention to get both a mani and a pedi each. However, the nail tech (some new guy) was rude, physically aggressive, and disrespectful to my mother. He treated her like he did not want to do her pedi, talked bad about her the entire time, and then proceeded to treat her like she was the problem. She was crying! After receiving a new nail tech, she proceeded to treat my mother like she was causing a scene and blamed us for the issue. She even stated if her boss saw my mother crying they would think it was their fault, WHICH IT WAS! We did not end up getting a manicure after this. My mother has an illness that does causes her nails to look bad, she knows it is extra work and we always tip accordingly. We have never received such horrible service. Nothing was done to try to remedy the problem. We still paid full price, and even tipped. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Staff was very friendly, place was clean. However, i'm not sure if my nail tech was new. Because it seemed like he had no clue what he was doing. I got the Yellowstone pedicure. It was 24 minutes of being "pet". They're supposed to wrap your legs in a towel after they put the clay on but I guess he forgot. So I was freezing. He did a great job polishing my toes though . Then when I got a manicure. I asked for him to just cut my cuticles back and file and throw on a clear topcoat. My nails look worse than when I came in. He filed and cut the cuticles and then said ok thank you have a nice day. Aren't you supposed to buff them? Lol I said ummm aren't you going to put polish on? He was confused. I repeated myself and I said I would like clear topcoat on please.. he said they didn't have it. I just stared at him for a minute and then I said the top coat like you used on my toes . He said oh ok.. slaps one coat on and said ok don't touch anything for 10 minutes. Didn't put a fan or help them dry.. just kind of looked at me to get up and go pay. Which by this point I did because they weren't going to look any worse than they already did. Way over priced way wayyyyy overpriced . I'd give it negative stars if I can!!! I'm so so so beyond upset. More like livid. I wanted a gel express manicure and pedicure with a nail harder so my nails don't break easily and they did that but charged $160 for a basic gel manicure and pedicure. The manicurist didn't explain well that it was an additional $65 just for one coat of nail hardener on my nails and $10 to take off my gel polish which is insane to me. Last time I came my polish came off the day after. The bathroom was disgusting and dirty and not to mention they cut up my toes. This place is high way robbery.
