Sketchy but sure whatever I thought. I come back to get my car and he tries to make me pay using the app he original made me open on my phone. After arguing that I already paid with spothero, he starts saying that entering my credit card into the app and hitting pay won't doubt charge me and that's how they get the funds from spothero. Obviously not. I ended up paying using their app to get my car back but called up spothero and my credit card company to get both charges reversed. DO NOT BOOK HERE WITH SPOTHERO. YOU WILL BE SCAMMED.

There is absolutely zero organization to the garage and your car will often be Tetris blocked in so they have to move multiple cars to get to yours. They have a text service where you can request your car ahead of time (which sounds good in theory), but half the time it is not even ready when you request for it and they get irritated with you if you request it more than 15 minutes ahead of time (even though it can take them even longer to find your car). I've had to wait 40+ minutes for my car at times and have missed appointments or plans because it takes so long for them to find my car. I am a resident here so it is my only indoor parking option. Absolutely terrible.

He stated that he was calling us scumbags for waving him off so that we could exit. Highly unprofessional and have never been treated like this for absolutely no reason. We also had our children in the car. The employee showed no remorse and offered no apologies. Stay away from this company! Wildly unprofessional, and when I reached out to the company to talk about the incident, no one answered initially, but they called me back. My wife called back to clarify the situation and spoke to the owner. He was extremely helpful, understanding, and disappointed in the worker that demonstrated such unprofessional and ignorant behavior. He assured us that this employee would no longer be assigned at the museum dealing with families, and appropriate repercussions would follow.

If you go to Michael Jordan's Steakhouse and use valet (recommended) you'll find the tab is just $11 or so which is pretty nice by downtown Chicago standards. For example, if you had parked while you at the Intercontinental Hotel - absent any specials - the daily fee would have been $71...so use the $11 valet at Michael Jordan's Steakhouse...nice value. Recommended...especially since you are in the midst of everything nice about the Mag Mile.

Dropped my car off for storage recently during a visit to Chicago. My hotel wanted $89 per night…read moreto park my car. Drake tower charged me $45 per night. In general, both rates are expensive, but it was the cheapest parking we could find. When I dropped off the car, it was immediately picked up by a friendly attendant and I was given a ticket. When we picked up our car, they had to bring it from an elevator, which means there are multiple floors for car storage. I paid the man and we were on our way. The location is very good and it costs less than nearby hotel parking. We'll be back if we ever stay on the Gold Coast again.

Which is right next to the hotel, I thought awesome. We entered and failed to see that it was valet and had to stop and wait for someone but we turned around. From what I could make out is that there was no more spots available and that we were supposed to stop at the sign that said "Stop & wait for valet" I apologized and showed him my SpotHero purchase and he wrote me off saying we had to go find parking elsewhere. Not sure if he just didn't appreciate us driving right in or what. Which was a accident on our part. We came right down to speak to them to ask them how the parking worked. We had no intent of just driving in forcefully and parking, obviously our truck would have gotten towed for doing that. Now not sure if this was a fault on Spothero's end for failing to know that there were no more spots at this garage but there was absolutely no reason for the type of dramatic scene and treatment that went down on the valet guys part. When we booked, they emailed instructions and we found it on the first try. I do agree that it does feel sketchy, and I think they may have filmed parts of the Batman trilogies here. You feel like you're entering old Gotham with the homeless camps and garbage everywhere, but it's not like you have to walk back out this way. The best way to find it is to enter on the far right at East South Water and Michigan Ave under the "Illinois Center" sign. Drive all the way down until you have to make a left or right. Make a sharp left and go down the ramp. Then do it again so you're at the bottom. Then drive straight until you hit a stop sign, and make a right. The entrance looks like the first pic they feature in GoogleMaps by user Tyson Braun. Once you park, just take the elevators up. You'll leave by the CVS near the Nutella shop. The building is 24 hours, but valet parking is not available on weekends. If you're doing self-parking like we were, it's the first row on the left when you enter or against the wall where you're not blocking someone else. When we left, it felt like leaving the Batcave. The garage door is down, but it automatically raises when you drive close. If we had to park in the area, we'd definitely come back here.
