Marquee says parking 3 hours for $2.00. Nothing about getting your ticket validated by a China town business.

Close to China Town but marquee says 3 hours for $2.00. It says nothing about getting it validated by a business in China Town. I was there for 2 hours and paid $8.00. Needless to say this deceive practice will make me go down the street to the other parking lot. That parking lot is only a block away. Bad practice Chinatown Parking.

You can pay $2 cash w validated tickets from the restaurant before you return to the parking lot but not when you exit at the end.

Parking in Chinatown is not easy and you have to find meters and pay through the app. So if you are going to drive to Chinatown, you should definitely park here as long as you're gonna eat at one of the participating restaurants that will validate your parking for $2 for three hours. Just make sure that you are eating at one of the restaurants listed on the list (see picture). There are two of these parking lots kind of adjacent to each other across the street from each other. He is right next to the Chicago Public library in Chinatown. Once you park here, you are able to walk to the new old Chinatown restaurant and store so it is convenient. It is also right next to the CTA station for Chinatown. It's just 1 block away.

As of October 2018, get your ticket validated at the restaurant for a discount on pahking (Cantonese accent for emphasis)

If you're wondering about the parking situation when coming to Chinatown (Southside), just know there are two big parking lots (North and South) located by the Redline tracks. It's Convenient, it's a good deal, it's generally safe during the day, but note the following: - there's a 3 hour limit for discounted parking, which you get when you have your ticket validated at your restaurant (must be on the participant list) - parking under the tracks or near bushes or trees may ruin your car wash due to the birds. So just be mindful of where you park and your time and it'll just cost $2.00 for 3 hours of parking. Xie, Xie - that makes it really easy to drive down here. Just a few thoughts, they need to repaint the lines, have more visible staff - roving both lots for safety. Note: I had one bad experience when someone was bumping my car and then came out and threatened me. So I called CPD, they're just on 18th street. Long story short - I got a check in the mail for the damage a few months later. I say all this to emphasize how a visible employee can make people behave. Other than that, I really love these parking lots. Park in the North lot if you want to primarily go into the little mall. I like the South lot because I like walking down Wentworth first, and then covering the little mall area - before coming back within the 3 hour time limit.

Best parking for Chinatown Chicago. Check to see if your Restaurant validates. There is a list in both parking lots. One by the pedestrian exit on the south lot and one by the entrance on the north lot. Up to 3 hours for $2.00 with the validation!

I had to pay $11 for 65' . No clear signs for entrance. And if you need smth there is no one to help you. High priced for location. Basically you could park around neighborhood without charge and same conditions. No safety at all.

This was the closest to Milwaukee, and the Chief of Staff needed to come here. Plan on about two months from when you make the appointment. Only the person with the appointment can go in and up to the office for security reasons. I had to wait outside but the weather was nice and there are two pleasant benches in front of pretty flower boxes. Security is professional and very polite. The process doesn't take long. Limited parking on the street in front, I suggest you get here very early. Don't bring any weapons.

Spoiler alert: You need to bring your passport with you. I went in anyway just in case and when I got up to the 6th floor that's when I saw a sign saying passports were necessary. This info is not included in the interview confirmation online. There's lots of other helpful information--directions to the site; no parking available; masks required--but nothing about what you need to bring with you. Since they have the information in the application, you'd think they'd have access to some of the State Department systems for this purpose, and many if not most would have a photo ID, I don't think the requirement to bring a passport is a given. When I visited the first time (forgot my passport, remember?) the BP police-type officers (not the same as the folks at the security checkpoint) were not wearing masks. Awesome. /sarcasm There's no parking specific to this building. You may find street parking on Jefferson, a couple blocks away, but it will probably depend upon what time of day and it's paid parking seven days per week. There's a parking lot at 519 S. Clinton that you can use; as of 7-25-22, 0-4 hours cost $16. I used the Spot Hero app and got a space for about half that. My second visit here for my Global Entry interview went much more smoothly, chiefly because I remembered my passport this time, yaaaaayyy! I was resigned to be there for like an hour, figuring they'd be behind because people were late, and that there would be a ton of folks there. When I arrived there were just three others waiting, and one of those people was just a woman there with her husband for... idk. Moral support? I was about 20 minutes early (I'm never that early) and an officer came out to get us almost 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. As I expected, the interview took all of five minutes, and I could have shaved at least a minute off that time if only my fingers had been situated properly on the fingerprint scanner. In fact, I was done with my appointment before my scheduled appointment time. I'm really glad they're so on time with the appointments and I've finally got it done. Make sure to get there early with your passport and state-issued ID (yes, both).
