Service is good. Ambiance is okay. One of the empty bowl served to us still had a little food residue in it it's just a small glitch to this place. Deserves a visit if you're a foodie.

You can also order to go here I believe. They really operate efficiently, expect fast service! Tables are tightly situated and there's a cozy bar situation where I sat this time, able to watch the chefs cook right in front of me. The daily specials are posted on their Instagram page, as well as written on pieces of paper around the restaurant. My server quickly helped me to water and a glass of sake. I placed a to go order for one of the daily specials, the grilled sea bass with sushi rice and salad, with some kimchi. I also ordered the BBQ chicken with tortilla and salad, as well as vegetable gyoza. Everything was incredible. Truly. The gyoza came topped with green onions and was SO crispy and hot and was perfect with their soy sauce. I thought sea bass was wonderful with a unique almost smoky flavor that melted in my mouth paired with the slightly sweet sticky rice. The barbecue chicken was great as well and better the next day. One thing I don't really understand is why they served plain flour tortillas cut into quarters with their food. We didn't utilize this, nor the white butter/mayo sauce that came alongside it. I hope to eat here often, for years to come and am so happy to see this iconic Japanese restaurant still thriving years later.

We were a little disappointed that they ran out of salmon so we couldn't order any salmon sashimi dishes. We got skewers which were absolutely delicious! We also ordered takoyaki and okonomiyaki but there was nothing special about those. Wouldn't really recommend the okonomiyaki either. Would definitely recommend trying the Shrimp Burger and the Salmon Calcium (salmon pate).

We walked in and were so confused at what we were about to do looking at all the ceiling vents over the tables, but it was so fun and entertaining of a meal! It reminded me of a fondue place with Korean food. You order from your phone (super easy) and the food magically shows up. You cook it in front of you and it was all so tasty! We loved the noodles, the sushi, and all the flavorings of the meats. I didn't love the sushi pizza being fried (but we were getting so full by that point haha)z My husband would have loved this place since it was all you can eat haha. We unfortunately didn't try the desert since we were looking forward to ice cream cones. Only surprise was a 30% service charge that we weren't expecting! Definitely come hungry to get your money's worth.

I made a reservation online for 715pm which was quite easy to do. Also, there's a ton of parking since it is situated in a strip mall. We had to wait no more than 5 minutes to wait for a table. Usually when it comes to AYCE places, people complain about how long it takes to get their food. Not this place! I don't know how many people they have working in the back but the management are doing a mighty fine job. There's also a lot of staff from busboy/girl, waiters, hostesses and you can't forgot the robot ! The raw meat was well seasoned. They even had lamb chops. Yes you read right, lamb chops marinated with cumin. They were cooked to perfection and hot. Now that I done blabbing about them, I never have too much faith in the nigiri or maki but it was delicious. The sashimi was fresh and cold. The cook cut the fish in smaller pieces which I appreciate- I dread of buying into one big blob of raw fish. The soup looks plain and white but they put white pepper and it hit the spot. White pepper tastes completely different than black by the way for anyone who is wondering. My mom loved it. I loved it and will be back!!

We were also late and I had called the number and left them a voicemail to advise them & when I got there and mentioned this , the host looked at me weird , which I didn't get why and went to see if they can find us another table since they had given our table away since they thought we were going to be a no show ( since they didn't check the phone msg). We got to our table, the waiter was nice and super helpful for the dinner . We had ordered the edamame and chicken gyoza for appetizers. The edamame had a quick since it had a blend of spices to make this Japanese spice & the gyozas were succulent. Mains : my friends had orders the tofu salad and tartare , and I had ordered the bibimbap. Mine was as expected , delicious & so was the tartare. The only main complaint my friend had was for the the tofu salad as there was barely any tofu in the salad and more of the kale . Drinks : I ordered a regular mojito ( not the one on the menu but the classic), one friend ordered a non alcoholic mojito & the other didn't order anything to drink. She had wanted an ice tea since she was driving and the bar actually had everything but ice tea , which was a first . The reason why it's a 3 star is not solely based on the drink selection, but mainly how we were greeted and dealt with at the beginning. I would definitely go back eventually to try again when it isn't raining

Let's start with the service: Prefaced by saying that it was not very busy at all (4 to 5 other tables). We were taken to a table and left for quite some time. We sat for maybe 10-15 minutes with no water or menu provided. Once we did finally order and receive our cocktails, they were... off. I ordered their Tokyo Kin which tasted like a watered down lemonade and you cannot convince me there was even a drop of alcohol in that glass. My partner ordered their espresso martini dupe, which was very underwhelming as well. Our food was fine, nothing grand. The presentation was lovely, however, $5 for 3 pieces of shrimp was a joke. Small portions, lack of flavor, and extreme prices made for a very unpleasant dining experience. If not an already frustrating experience, we then went to find our server so we could pay and finally leave. Upon walking to the bar we saw them eating and lounging on their phones. This was a very unpleasant experience and the bill being nearly $90 was laughable for what we received. I would recommend looking into other restaurants in the area unless you are wanting to have a terribly underwhelming experience.

It all exceeded expectations, and our expectations were high going in based on the well-deserved hype! The 20-30 minute wait was so worth it. One of the owners works the line & he offered drinks to everyone as we waited outside. The other owner took our order, and when my son and I said we wanted to try a bunch of different things and asked if we could do smaller portions (1bun instead of 2 & a mix of satays), he happily obliged us. Now let's talk about the food - the laksa soup, pork belly bun, papaya salad and satays were all EXACTLY RIGHT. Like chefs kiss kind of right. The owner came by when all the food had been taken away and jokingly asked if we had enough, and my son sheepishly said he probably needed one more of the pork belly buns, and it came right out. So tender and sublime. I couldn't eat another bite, but he somehow stuffed it in because it was just so good. My son can't wait to sport his Satay Brothers shirt back in Dallas! 10 out of 10!

It looked cool, so I told my parents we'll go on our way back home to Toronto from Quebec City. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, and I'll admit the waiting area isn't the best. When we finally got our table, it was tucked in the corner of the restaurant by the windows. Thankfully it was insulated well despite a cold night. The food concept is pretty unique here, as Southeast Asian cuisine isn't too common overall. We decided to share a bunch of dishes to increase the variety of foods. Pork Belly Steamed Buns - Excellent Laksa Soup with Chicken - Excellent, and I like how they separated the satay on a spoon. Satay Babi - This was an item from their special menu, which is basically satay pork skewers. It was also very good. Fried chicken - Nothing special, could probably skip this. Char kway teow - Very uniquely done. I wasn't expecting clams on it, and it was an excellent addition. Service was also amazing. There are some other dishes that I wasn't able to try, and I would say the uniqueness of this place will entice me to return here.

They have a big selection of wines and a pretty big menu for cocktails aswell This is a tapas restaurant so for those that like sharing it's perfect because the portions are not huge. It's perfect to get a few different things and share in between. We got the oysters, the tuna tataki, the crab bites and also the salmon tartare. All of those were good. The only disappointment that I had was more of the tartare, I feel like the amount of salmon in the tartare was not enough and there were more of the other ingredients then the salmon in the tartare.(like tomato that looks like tartare but it's actually tomato). Prices are not that expensive compared to other tapas restaurant in MTL I definitely recommend this place, it's nice for a date night or to catch up with a friend. This location wasn't big.
