Came here upon the recommendation from a friend and had a most enjoyable meal. I came here during the Festival and though I would have preferred to dine indoors the restaurant created a special canopy outdoors with chandeliers and soft music. Our group started off with a delicious butter lettuce salad followed by the main course (2 of us ordered the veal Milanese, the other ordered a veal chop), accompanied with spaghetti pomodoro and a bottle of Tomassi Amarone. Everything was outstanding. For dessert we ordered a chocolate mousse topped with chopped hazelnut. The owner, Michelangelo, stopped by the table to greet us and in return my friend gifted him a $140 Cohiba cigar. The same friend enjoyed his meal so much that he came back again the following evening. For what we ate along with the caliber of food the price was reasonable. Turns out the owner's son has a Mamo in Brickell (Miami) that I am a huge fan of as well.

We ordered a pizza and an appetizer because we simply weren't very hungry. At no point before being seated or ordering were we informed that there was a requirement for each person to order a main course. Only as our pizza arrived were we suddenly told that a main course per person was mandatory. When we explained that nobody had informed us of this policy, the waiter responded that this was "a restaurant" and that they never thought they would need to explain something like this to their public. The way this was said made us feel looked down upon, as though we somehow weren't the type of clientele who belonged there. Instead of handling the misunderstanding professionally, our food was taken away, the waiter raised his voice at us in front of other diners, and we were ultimately escorted out. We left almost in tears while other customers watched. What was supposed to be a special evening ended with us feeling completely humiliated. If MAMO requires every guest to order a main course, customers should be clearly informed BEFORE being seated or ordering. Had we known, we simply would have gone somewhere else. The issue was never the existence of the policy--it was that, in our experience, it wasn't communicated beforehand and the situation was then handled in an unnecessarily humiliating way. I have eaten in countless luxury restaurants and have never experienced treatment like this. Hospitality should never mean making guests feel inferior or unwelcome. We have formally reported what happened to the appropriate French consumer-protection service. Based on our experience, I would never return and would not recommend MAMO Michelangelo to anyone.

We started with the Burrata & Carpaccio Tomatoes which were genuinely the best that my tastebuds have ever touched. The tomatoes were beautiful, vibrant, various shades of red and orange. They were super juicy and bursting with flavor. The Burrata was unreal! It melted in my mouth and was super luscious and decadent. I wish I can frame this dish. The Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe with Truffle was also exceptional! For the €7 add-on, I appreciate that they don't skimp out on the truffle. The Cacio e Pepe was super fresh and balanced between the salt, pepper, and cheese. I absolutely loved it! If you're in Antibes, Chez Jules is not a tourist trap. I told the waiter that I had not received any recognition of the problem or apology for the issue, and it was not acceptable to charge me for the dish. He said there was no reason to be upset. I responded that I was upset that the restaurant did not acknowledge the problem at all, as I know accidents can happen, but to ignore the problem and charge me for contaminated food was not okay. At that point the waiter removed the charge. The other food was only so so, and the service was poor all night. The only thing good about the restaurant is it's location and water view. You can get the same view by walking along the shore walkway. When I looked back at the other reviews, I realized I should not have been surprised. Many mention the terrible service. I would think the owners -- Stephane and Marie Laure Arnal -- would be embarrassed to have such a poor showing for their restaurant.

The waiter refused to acknowledge that service is included and that gratuity in France is based on appreciation and not "begged" for by an agressive waiter. This is probably one of the busier ones simply due to the foot traffic of people walking by. We stopped by for a quick drink. Service was fast, the ambiance was relaxing, and it's a great spot for slowing down and taking a break from the walking. The Aperol Spritz was pretty standard; it was refreshing and cold which is just what I needed. Nice spot!

I wanted to order the ceasar salad and take some items off of the salad. The server told me to pick them out of my salad by myself. I asked why they can't make the salad without including certain toppings and he rudely told me that when the salad comes to take the toppings I don't want out. The ceasar salad was also very disappointing and did not taste like a traditional ceasar salad. It was very bad. Also there were flies and birds everywhere. It's a shame because the location is very nice but I would not recommend eating here.
