The view was obscured with fog, but the service was meticulous. The menus are digital, and specials are discussed in person. We had a lovely Italian server who was completely trilingual. An on-site sommelier helps with the drinks and appetizers, which are presented like finery. The dinner show begins with the entree. We ordered the seabass, which is carted in and deboned in the dining room. The mashed potato is an incredible side. As far as medieval dining goes, the gold goat takes the cake.

We were lucky and got a table on a whim later Sunday evening. After being seated on the patio at high top table, we actually gasped seeing the view. It's UNREAL. For the entire dinner, it's almost distracting to just keep staring out at the mountains, water and yachts looming down below. Gorgeous. The service matches the hotels 5-star expectations. Super attentive, quick, and friendly. We had drinks to celebrate a proposal and they also brought out some on the house champagne. For dinner, we actually split the blue lobster pasta. It was more than plenty for 2 people. Absolutely delicious. They bring the lobster and pasta out to mix together in front of you and ugh I am still thinking about that dish to this day. Its a hike to get up to this point. Once you reach the gated area, no cars can reach the top. Well worth the challenge to get up and it's such a unique experience. The walk up is all along the hillside and through the little mountain shops. 100% felt like I was in a movie and would love to come back to stay at the hotel. I don't think they couldn't created a better experience here between the food, menu, view, and service... I wouldn't change a thing.

Our French is limited and we wandered into the patio towards a table as we tried to get the Server's attention. Just as we sat down, the extremely rude and nasty Server berated us. As we quickly attempted to apologize for our mistake he continued to mistreat us and speak with such hostility that we insisted we would leave because how dare he speak to us like that! It was an honest mistake on our part which we tried to apologize for but he insisted 'how dare we seat ourselves'. Our son-in-law is a Chef, one town over and he was appalled at how we were treated. We understood immediately we had made a mistake but to be spoken to with such ignorance and malice was uncalled for. He was just rude so we happily left and took our patronage over to Eze. This Person/Maitre di was Ignorant, Arrogant and had no class at all. We will be sure to tell anyone and everyone else we know not to go here, including those our son-in-law and daughter know as well since they are locals!!

I really enjoyed this. My bf thought the flavors were good, but it wasn't his favorite. For our entrees, we both got the Linguine de Homard Frais (Linguine with Lobster Tail). The lobster itself was great, but the flavors in the dish were not my favorite. My bf thought they grew on him as he ate. The service was top notch and incredibly attentive. Overall, I think the dishes were well curated but may have not been our favorite palette.

How could you eat here and not give it 5 stars?…read more We walked by earlier this week and saw this place received a Michelin awards a few years in a row. We have no restaurants in philly that have that. So we made reservations. Before anything started they brought us out small shot glasses of asparagus soup with tiny spoons. It was gone. Quickly but man was it good. Menu is just a chalkboard the carry from table to table. Guess that means it's just always changing. We got three starters. Duck liver, something egg and the tuna tartare. I tried all of them and they were spectacular. Even the liver which I do not generally like. The break basket just keeps getting refilled all night long. So don't worry about leaving hungry. For my main meal I got the fresh lobster linguini. Let me tell you.... I was never a huge fan of lobster but my mom grew up in Maine so I've reintroduced myself to it these past few years. Maybe I just grew up eating sh*t Lobster. When prepared right it can really knock your socks off. For desert I got the Nice Coffee. This was espresso, lemon sorbet and a cookie. A really great combination. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. It can be hard when you don't speak any French! Perfect noise level. I don't think any music was playing. I 408 euros for 4 people. There was a bottle of wine and mixed drinks in there too. So I don't think that's terrible.

The service, on the other hand, was deplorable. Our server made it very clear early on that although he spoke perfect English, he did not care for Americans. So, he went out of his way to give us the bare minimum of service. He did not clear any empty cans or glasses from our table over the entire two hours we were there, he did not attempt to be friendly, he did not check to see if we needed anything. He served me a room temperature bottle of beer, and when I mentioned it to another person they brought me an ice cold bottle...so it's not that they weren't available. We also arrived when the restaurant was essentially empty, and they went out of their way to seat us at the worst table available (sloped down the street so the table was tilted). Meanwhile, our same server was downright jovial with anyone that was fluent in French. Mercifully, we have had a much better experience at every single other place we have visited in our week here in Nice. La Ptite Cocotte seems to be the exception rather than the rule. That being said, we can absolutely NOT recommend this restaurant if you want to be treated like a guest rather than simply tolerated.
