This is a wonderful little cafe with an abundance of charm and character. It holds a special place in our lives as it has been a meeting point over the years for lifelong friends from around the world. Food is good, Coffee and drink are also good as well as warm and receptive service. It is the perfect place to take a rest, a drink and enjoy the local ambiance.

I am SO happy we came here for lunch before our flight back to NYC! It's situated right near the St. Martin Canal and it's perfect for a quick coffee after walking around. As others have mentioned, the cappuccinos are 3€! Which is cheaper than a lot of places in Paris. Menu is seasonal so entrees are different every week! I had the goat cheese stuffed salmon plate and my boyfriend had the lemon chicken. Portions are just right and great for the price- my salmon came with a side of red quinoa and a small mountain of pickled? carrots/cucumber. Can't think of any other way to describe it, but it was delicious! The lemon chicken was very juicy and had so much flavor...came with a side of mashed yams. Service was quick and easy, food was delicious! I loved it here!

I loved the sample meat, baguette platter (I know it had a name... I don't Remember it). Good happy hour specials. Would return.

    Hot Chocolate!

One of the best hot chocolates of Paris. Some friends and I went here after walking around the nearby arrondissements for some break time. The entrance was through a big fancy curtain past some doors so that was very unique for a restaurant/café. The place was packed and we had 6 people but they made room for us. The manager and staff were very friendly people. We all got drinks with me getting hot chocolate (€3). There's not much to say when it's only a drink besides that it was one of the best hot chocolates that I've got in Paris so far. Its served in a nice small mug with cocoa powder all over the whip cream that's to the brim of the mug. Optional sugar and of course you have your stirring spoon. I'd come back here if I was in the area!

    Cosy!

Good place for a group at night to grab a drink near the canal. Loud inside, but that's because everyone is talking and having a good time!

Always busy place by the Canal. No menus - all drinks written up on different chalkboards inside and outside. Good and friendly vibe.

Fun non-pretentious bar, eclectic artsy crowd, neighborhood-hangout vibe. Worth a stop if you're near the Canal St. Martin.

Nice local bar that's been around for a while. Homemade sangria, mint tea. Nice service, quite hip.

I would recommend going on a sunny day and sit out on the pavement in front of the canal.

What a great find!…read more This bar doesn't look like much from the outisde but once you walk in, its super cool and full of character. The bar staff was extremely friendly and educated us on the history of the bar. Both bartenders spoke english and were from United States. It was explained to us that Lulu White was a brothel madam, that was concidered to have more power than the mayor of New Orleans during the late 1800s. Her brothel contained a "Blue Book" that allowed patrons to chose their companion via photos. The Lulu White bar, took this concept and allows you to chose your drink according to the individuals photographed in the "Blue book". We were told the individuals listed in the book change about every 6 months but the Lulu White drinks remains constant. I tried the Lulu White: Altos Anejo Tequila, Plymouth Gin, Genepi, Absentroux, and Cardamon noir. It came in a elegant beautiful glass and It tasted like a dry martini with a licorice flavor from the absinthe. This was definitley a drink you sip on to enjoy. The décor of the bar, resembled historical New Orleans with its dim lighting and elegant décor and half moon booth seating. This was a great surprise, and I recomment anyone to stop by and check it out!

Quaint bar with live jazz and nice bartenders. Stumbled in here on a Sunday night trying to get…read moreaway from the mostly English speaking clientele in the surrounding bars. Still a strong mix of anglophones but locals seem to balance out the crowd. Fairly priced cocktails. I had the Beatrix which was a little too bitter for my taste, so switched out to the Pale Ale which was tasty. The live music was fantastic! Not sure if the ensemble is there every weekend, but they made a great trio. I'd visit when/if in Pigalle again.
