We asked the Kitchen to serve us whatever they were inspired with. The start was salmon gravlax and a piece of Doremi cheese served over a leek sauce. This was the highlight of the evening. Then it was boudin and duck. The meats were amazing on the mai s. The vegetables we simply a some thought, simply steamed and fired with a chunk of beet purer. But I asked the waiter to see if they could serve a cheese platter instead of dessert and of course they did!!! Just amazing. I would come back just to chill with the wait!!!

A hostess greeted us immediately upon entering and seated us at a table. I had the bacon and avocado skillet and my wife had the croque dejeuner. They were hot and they looked very good when they arrived at the table. In the US you get a tiny sliver of avocado. Here it was 1/2 of one sliced. My breakfast tasted great and there was more than I could eat. My wife commented that the fruit in her breakfast was very good considering it was February. It was unusual that fresh strawberries taste good this time of year. Overall we were very pleased with our breakfast here and will flag this place for future visits.

Sometimes a girl just wants some junk food! Found this cute little diner while away on business and…read morehad to stop in! Open since 1957, this restaurant seemed stuck in time with its diner style orange seats and booths in one half of the restaurant, and old school tables and chairs in the other. The first half of this place is for counter ordering where you place your order and sit yourself like any fast food joint; the other half offers table service. The food is your typical fast food burgers and poutine, but you can also get smoked meat and some Greek specialities as well. I had a double cheeseburger and poutine and can attest that the poutine was one of the best I've had! The fries were fresh and hand cut, the curd cheese was on point, and the sauce was perfect; not too salty or sweet like others I've had. The burger though was dry and tasteless. This prices were very affordable and the service was a little slow; two waitresses for a lunch rush is just not enough! This place seems like the spot for late night eats and considering how long it's been around, they are surely doing something right.

Pooh really enjoyed his Benedict, the sauce was on side so you add as much or as little sauce as you wanted. The plate was garnished with a nice beefeater tomato. The vegetarian skillet was great! Not too many potatoes which I enjoyed. Plus a side of baked beans - not too sweet - and beefeater tomatoes The bacon was crispy - bonus points for that!

We started with drinks. Pooh's dad (Andre) and I had Bloody Caesars, Pooh had a beer and Marie a house cocktail. The cocktail was too floral. Our Caesars were great. For appetizers Marie and Pooh had mussels, Andre, a Caesar salad and I had the French Onion soup. Andre's salad was a good size; Pooh and Marie enjoyed their mussels and my soup was very tasty Before the appetizers arrived a panier of warm bread and buns with a delicious olive oil and parmesan cheese sauce was brought to the table We ordered the Table D'hôte. Marie, Pooh and Andre had the fillet mignon and I had the bavette (flank steak). The cook on the steaks varied. Pooh and I ordered medium-rare; Marie ordered medium and Andre ordered medium-well. Pooh's steak was medium and my steak was medium-rare at the thinner end and very rare (almost blue) at the thicker end. Pooh, Marie and Andre had a baked potato without any butter and I had french fries. We shared two bottles of Italian red wine which was an excellent choice for the steaks. For dessert we had the brownie with ice cream. The brownie was dry - we needed the ice cream to help get it down. Pooh, Andre and I had a Brazilian coffee to wash everything down. Marie was driving. The service was excellent. Our server Édouard was very attentive; always checking on us. He was pleasant and had a friendly smile. Our glasses of water were always filled without us asking. The bathroom was unisex.
