I think food-wise the rating is close to a 4. We had the 5 course 64 euro tasting menu. The…read moreambiance is classic romantic- white table cloth with bright white walls. The wine list is extensive- a page of DRC although mostly from younger vintages - predominantly 2000 and younger. The first course is a healthy serving of white asparagus with a purée of green vegetables- while not as "fancy" as top tier white asparagus dishes, the asparagus is clearly fresh and succulent. The nonvegetarian second course was a substitution--shredded crab meat with caviar. This dish was too salty and pretty unimpressive. Then, weirdness ensued. We ordered a Premier Cru Puligny-Montrachet from Domaine Leflaive-- the first time drinking this negotiant and Domaine. However, the wine was oxidized and had a distinct nose of caramel. We asked for a sommelier to try to help us diagnose and they scrambled to address this issue but in the end it appeared no sommelier exists! One of the senior waitresses sniffed and confirmed the problem and immediately offered to replace the wine. We switched to a Echezeaux Grand Cru from Confuron-Gindre and immediately the previous issue was quickly forgotten. The main savory course was a veal steamed for 8-10 hours and garnished with potatoes. The vegetarian version was a medley of fava beans, carrot, radish, and a funky small mushroom looking and tasting like tiny monkey head mushroom. Both were delicious and the best part of the meal. The cheese course was also a highlight followed by a strawberry-heavy final dessert.

Let me say first that I LOVE this restaurant. It is a food and wine lovers paradise. I gave it…read moreonly 4 stars because the tuna main course did not have any sauce. Just seared tuna with a medley of some garbanzo beans and kalamata olives. Felt very lacking. The rest of the meal(s) were excellent. Service is perfect every time.

When the found out we just wanted a wonderful glass of wine they gave us a table right outside the door which was wonderful! A beautiful little spot with lots of tables on the street. It was relatively obvious that they serve English-speaking consumers because they had menus in English. My friend and I had a good time here tasting wine and catching up. Majority of the dishes were pretty good but not extremely spectacular, ranging from the beef bourguignon to the soy-glazed chicken to the eggs with mashed potatoes, they all had varying degrees of seasoning and the salt wasn't too overpowering. Some of the dishes leaned towards more on the plain side in terms of flavor. The arancini tomatoes didn't have too much fresh flavor in my opinion, and that was my least favorite dish in comparison. Overall, one would have a good time if visiting Dijon, and I would recommend this establishment. It's worth noting that they had good service, which sometimes can be a hit or miss in France in general due to them not having a tipping culture.
