The restaurant itself is broken into 3 areas (a walk up counter, a casual area, and the more formal dining room). The hubby and I shared a couple of pastries with the savory scone and kouign amann being our favorites. Their dishes look very good, on the smaller side, and meant to be shared.

This place won, hands down my favorite place in Montreal to eat. I had to keep coming back day after day to eat here. My French is not the greatest but they did help me with my words, Merci. I know it looks like it part of a train station on the outside but this place is big on the inside with the best mind blowing food. I can't wait to go back to Montreal just so I can stop by here and pick up a ton of food yet again. Try a sandwich for lunch, they are wonderful.

Very cute café, as well. Looks like a great place to work. Highly recommend the tourn'oeuf (breakfast sandwich). Excellent combo of flavors. This was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The breakfast platter was very good as well, a sampler of flavorful things. Although we decided the baguette was not the best we've ever had. Gave this platter an A-. We also got the sandwich au jambon which was good, but could've been better with better flavor combos. Still great quality. Loved the ham here. Also highly recommend the chai latte.

Others on the other hand, do. Choose between window stools or the shareable high-top tables+stools in the middle of the shop to sit a bit and enjoy your coffee or pastry. Service was outstanding and price was reasonable. The energy isn't rushed but do be mindful that this location is small. The sourdough Baguette we got was anything but 'chain' and had that perfect crispness and soft inside that said, 'homemade'. My Matcha Latte was good and hubs liked his decaf Cap. My Chocolate Croissant had a wonderful glob of dark chocolate goodness in the center and wished I had another. Their kouign-amann was heavy; considering what I've read about its light interior, this one fell short. Both the baguette and my chocolate croissant were the all-around winners out of the few other things we picked up- but will keep these guys in mind for these two items and hot beverages.

The hubs and I stopped by while in the area, as we had heard that they're known for their buttery croissants. We had ordered one, and I was a little sad that they had run out of the cheese ones already T___T The regular croissant was okay, but it wasn't as buttery as it was described (I actually found the shape of it pretty funny) :P The hubs enjoyed it, as he stated that it was slightly different, not too sweet, and was flaky enough. It may have been slightly better if it was right out of the oven or warmed up, as I thought it was more on the dry end. Staff was super friendly, and there's limited seating inside. Place was busy too for a weekday afternoon, with bikers stopping in for a quick bite. I don't ride bikes, I drink coffee..and that's why I decided to stop in! Besides the array of baked goods, sandwiches and salads, there was one item that really ci-haut my eye; they have a lavender latte??! What?! I grabbed a tall lavender coffee with almond milk for 5.50$ and sat on the little patio upfront to enjoy my java. The scent of lavender was intense upon my first sip but I quickly got accustomed to the odd flavour and thoroughly enjoyed my cup of joe; the espresso was not very acidic and the almond milk was perfectly sweet, so overall, this coffee was perfectly balanced! Maybe it was the lavender or maybe it was the summer like weather, but I felt totally zen and content. The price may be a little higher then other shops in the corner who offer better coffee but the scenic view and odd lavender coffee has intrigued me enough to return for the spiced latte...stay tuned.
