They're located very close to the Parc du Thabor, and I LOVE that they have an English menu, and the staff speak English. You can choose to sit inside or outside, and if the weather starts to get cold outside, they offer you blankets. Not all creperies are made equally - I love this one because of their handcrafted ice creams that really elevate their crepes and galettes. I got the Indulgente (11,80) which comprised of Smoked Scottish Salmon, goat cheese, homemade leek fondue, salad of the day, and Roquefort handcrafted ice cream. It took around 10 minutes for my galette to come out even though there was only one other order in front of me - but no complaints because I'm guessing that's the time it takes for perfection to be made. This was absolutely amazing. Two nice slabs of goat cheese underneath thinly sliced smoked salmon, wrapped in a thin and crispy galette, topped with green salad (basically just lettuce lol) and leek fondue (this was basically just steamed leeks in my opinion), accompanied by a scoop of the Roquefort ice cream on the side. The galette was amazing by itself, and all the components elevated it to another level. The Roquefort ice cream was sweeter and creamier than I had imagined. I normally would NEVER choose anything that had Roquefort because it's similar to bleu cheese, which I absolutely cannot stand. But I found myself trying to scoop out every last bit of this ice cream as I could. I originally was just going to be on my way after having that one galette, but the woman next to me had ordered a crepe and I got drawn into getting a dessert myself, after the server handed me the menu once more. I got the Marronmania (8,50) which was a crepe with chestnut cream, handcrafted chestnut honey ice cream, and homemade whipped cream. My mouth is watering just thinking about this. The crepe itself was slightly sweet and absolutely delicious. The marron cream was creamy and smooth, and the ice cream tasted more like honey than chestnut, but was delicious nonetheless. The whipped cream!! It was amazing! I know it's just whipped cream but it was extremely light and fluffy, just a little bit of sweetness, and paired so well with the crepe. Needless to say, I am a huge fan of this place, and am dying to try their other creations. You can also get just the ice cream if you'd like, and they have menu formulas if you're down to try a set menu that they offer for a cheaper price.

As much as I loved the food, I was blown away by the kindness of everyone working. Our sweet waitress spent time translating the entire menu to us and told us more about beautiful Rennes. The dining room is light and contemporary; in good weather, an outdoor terrace is also open. There are a choice of menus, all offering contemporary classic French food. I've loved just about everything I've eaten here, from the top-quality seafood platters to the snail and mushroom millefeuille, steak in shallot sauce, salmon en papillotte with spring vegetables As you can tell from that list, there is a range of dishes to suit more or less adventurous eaters; whichever you choose, the quality and execution are outstanding. Vegetarian options are available on the a la carte menu. Service is also excellent, and while it's not cheap (unless you compare it to British prices, when it's a total bargain!) the menus offer excellent value, making this one of my favourite restaurants in France.

We were fortunate to be the first to arrive for our reservation in this modest sized but comfortable dining room. The menu was brief but filled with delicious and unusual dishes. We started with an incredible appetizer which had a butternut squash puree with hazelnuts, a slow poached egg and a creamy sauce. It sounds strange but the taste was exquisite. Our other starter was a most interesting sandwich styled dish with mild beets and smoked herring pieces in a light horseradish cream on a cromesquis tartiflette. Our special main course was a scallop dish. They were so sweet, fresh and tender. It was served with a vegetable resembling mashed potatoes but tasted like a mild celery root flavor. The other main course had three types of local filleted fish served with a creamy sauerkraut. A culinary delight! For desert there was a special cheesecake with a fig topping that maybe had a slight berry flavor as well. The cheese was creamy and light. Overall the meal was superb. I came back two nights in a row for the tartare. It was excellent! Hand-cut so not minced, very very good! Spring rolls and poached egg with caramelized onions were very good too as starters. Not posting food pictures but a list of their local suppliers posted on the wall, which I think is a great idea Staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home.

One of the best restaurants in Dinan and definitely one of our favorites in France so far. Came in on a Saturday night at 9pm without a reservation, and luckily we were seated in the last table available. The hostess was sweet, spoke English, and was extremely helpful regarding the menu and translations. Best yet, they were very casual about the menu -- anything can be ordered as a starter or as a main, and they're not sticklers to the rules about French dining that most restaurants seem to have. First, the amuse-bouche: whipped cucumber cream with oyster leaf -- a leaf that actually tastes like oysters! Different, and delicious. I'm not a huge fan of actual oysters, but I totally dig the leaf. Here's a pro tip: any time they offer scallops, order them! They were doing a special scallop menu, but I just had the scallops with risotto as a starter. Not kidding, I would have licked the plate clean. So amazing and perfectly cooked. For my main, I had the duck confit, which was served on a warm potato and bacon salad, and accompanied by mixed greens. The meat was amazingly tender and less fatty similar dishes I've had in the past. If I were in Dinan longer, I'd visit again. Thumbs up!
