I came here craving for a boba and I got the taro milk tea with regular boba. It was delicious and quick to get it! There's lots of seating and games you can play if you want to hang out. It definitely gives coffee shop vibe. Overall recommend checking it out!

honeydew avocado smoothie, 50% sweet with boba
Anna P.

This smoothie was decent, not an overly strong flavor of avocado, felt pricey for an icy mild honeydew flavored drink. The boba was slightly sweet and warm, that added a nice contrast to slushy consistency of the drink. I would not order this again. It's just not special or flavorful enough to justify the cost. Also I was disappointed in the hardly-noticeable avocado flavor. :(

Solid fruit tea with Lychee Jelly :)

Solid place to go for boba! Various milk tea and regular tea options, along with a lot of topping choices! The shop is also very spacious, with plenty of seating for group gatherings. Service is fast and people here are friendly. If you are in the plaza grabbing Chipotle or Dave's Hot Chicken, this is a good place to go for dessert or just a hangout afterwards. Put this place on your list :)

Saw the good reviews and was in the area so figured I'd try. Upon walking up to the door my first reaction was this place looks DIRTY. Windows had scum, film hand prints etc everywhere the initial mat upon entrance was disgusting and I look around and see it's a whole bunch of "junk" that looked like it was all picked off of the garbage and slammed together in this space. I wouldn't dare touch the couch in the middle of the floor. Service was slow and waited like 5-10 for someone to come up front from outside the back door. We ordered 1 drink it was super sweet and don't want to return. The place is Too dirty and strange for me.

I've been coming to Chewy Boba for a while now, and they have never disappointed me. From my experience, it's been really hard to find a place that has good textured balls, but here they are perfect. Today I got the taro milk tea because I didn't want caffeine at night, but usually I go for the Hokkaido milk tea, that has been my go to for the longest, if you like nutty, sweet flavors, you should give it a try. It's also a great place If you want to hang with friends and play board games:)

When you go out to eat, do you sometimes wonder to yourself how filthy can this place be? Well at Chewy Boba, you don't have to wonder, because the filth is right in front of you! Right in the lounge area is the absolutely disgustingly filthy air purifier. Don't believe me? See the pictures I attached; they're not trying to hide it. The Boba was fine, but this filthy air purifier tells you everything you need to know about what their standards are like behind closed doors. A sad, disgusting boba shop. With other boba places near by who actually give the bare minimum, why would anyone want to go here?

Let me just say if you've not been here GO!!! Actually run lol. I'm a huge fan of boba tea and so is my daughter. There are a few boba options around that are good and 1 in particular that used to be my go-to in the same area as Chewy Boba but boy that changed once I got this tea. This far exceeded my expectations and will definitely be back. Being on keto now, I have to make adjustments to my craving of boba tea and have to now get it without boba. I opted for the Sea Salt Green Tea with no boba and my daughter got the Vanilla Chai with honey boba. The boba was not tough to chew per my daughter and her tea was delicious. My sea salt gave me just the right amount of sweet and salty. Mmmm. Writing this makes me crave another.

Yay for honey boba! I have super high standards for boba and if you're going to call your boba chewy, it better be chewy! I've tried the Thai tea and the matcha milk tea and both are pretty good. The boba are sweet and chewy. The available flavors on the menu are a bit Americanized, which I would never touch if my life depended on it, but I was happy with my Thai Tea! Nothing special but good enough for the area. Also - for any of y'all still on Pokémon Go... it's a stop!

I love this place. I have been here few times and I really enjoy it. I think it's somewhat close to a university so it's usually busy and they are always short staffed it seems like. I always have to wait for sometime before ordering and getting my drink. I usually get their mango milk tea with boba and it's really good highly recommended it. The plaza that it's in has chipotle and few other things. Place is spacious and has lots of tables if you'd like to study here. I will return just hoping line is less and it's faster

While most of the other drinks looked good. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee was definalty not made traditionally, which completely changed the taste and not in a good way. Not sure if the sweetened condensed milk will still used in the coffee, or sugar as it was mixed prior in the back. It looked like heavy cream or whole milk was additionaly put on top of the coffee base after it was mixed, which was odd. The drink was so sweet that I had to toss it after a quarter of the drink. Feels like it was tried to be in line with their milk teas rather then using the standard coffee, sweetened condensed milk, hot water, and ice.

Thai milk tea, regular with pearls

When I got to chewy boba it appeared to be "the spot." All the tables were full and there was a line of 3/4 people there. The man who took the order was so helpful and kind and apologized for the long wait. (It was only about 8 minutes from time I walked in to time I walked out). The last time I went to mojo I stopped by and got a regular thai tea with boba and it was fantastic and this time I got a sea salt Thai tea and wow, wow, wow! I will definitely be back for more!

The boba is so chewyyy!! Love the Taro flavor and consistency at this place! Great location and close to highway. Seems like a cool spot to hangout but I get my drink to go whenever I am in Tampa. It's worth the stop.

First time trying boba w/ My Daughter ! And I can definitely say it was an experience! I personally am not a fan of the Boba because of the texture and just overall feel in my mouth lol but my drink was delicious I had a sweet chai w/ Boba and my daughter got a sweet coffee w/ Boba ... I wasn't a fan of her choice in flavor but she did enjoy her drink ! As far as the establishment itself it's a nice clean cute little boba spot With plenty of seating , table games and nice graffiti art work on its wall ! And not to mention it's conveniently located next-door to a chipotle and they let you bring your food from there in to enjoy with your drink ! NOW THATS DOPE

You'd never guess busy Fowler Avenue and all those shiny new businesses are just steps away. This is free-spirited, relaxing and zen. You can study here, chill-out and reset. It's colorful and very sunny, but it would also be the snuggliest place to sit while it's raining and just sip away and read. There are so many drink and food options here. I had the pistachio matcha with strawberry cold foam and a spinach/feta pastry. Both were good choices. You can order at the register or from a QR code and they'll call you to come get it. It's so casual and laid back. This adorable hangout would melt away any work frazzles I could possible walk in with. I love the low ceilings and the vintage hardwood floors and the slouchy couch and the eastern light streaming in the front window of this older, repurposed home. There's original artwork everywhere, including the ceiling (some of it's for sale). There's also a rack of clothing items, jewelry, scrunchies and other items for sale. I love the eclectic vibe-and the guitar propped up by the front window. Phoebe could definitely sing "Smelly Cat" here. Heck, they're so welcoming here, Ross could probably set up his keyboard and share "the sound." They DO have live music here-and a side patio. There's some parking up front and extra parking in back. And the service is friendly. I'm so glad I found this spot. I'll be back to try the apple fritter croissant and soak up more relaxation. Happy days from Felicitous!

But I expected that considering I'm in a metropolitan area. Their rent is probably super high, but I don't mind paying an extra $2-3 per book to keep an independent store open. Regarding those deep cuts: - I did find some authors that I think are often overlooked, including Richard K. Morgan, Chuck Tingle, and Ann Leckie. - I was saddened to see that there was no Ronald Malfi in stock, which I find to be a mainstay in horror. - There was no Between the Buried and Me vinyl in stock, which saddens me due to concert tonight (that's why I drove all the way to this coast). Bakery 1908 - Sweet buns heaven!

My husband and I absolutely loved Bakery 1908! It's such a fun experience from the minute you walk…read morein. You grab a tray and a pair of tongs and make your way through the bakery, with separate glass display cases for the sweet and savory pastries. You just pick whatever looks good -- which is dangerous because everything looks good! First of all, the prices are fantastic. Most of the buns are under $4. My absolute favorite was the ham and cheese bun. The bun is slightly sweet and the ham and cheese are savory, and the combination is SO good. The blueberry bun was another favorite -- it almost had a blueberry cheesecake flavor. We also tried the curry bun, which was delicious. We ordered several of the hot items too. The har gow (shrimp dumplings) were outstanding. They have a delicate steamed wrapper filled with plump, juicy shrimp, and these were honestly some of the best I've ever had. I've eaten in multiple restaurants in Chinatown in both Los Angeles and San Francisco, so that's saying a lot! The Shanghai dumplings, which are little soup dumplings filled with meat and broth, were also delicious. We also tried the steamed pork ribs. The flavor was very good, but steamed pork has a different appearance and there were some fatty pieces. I'm glad we tried them, but they're probably the one thing I wouldn't order again. Another huge plus was the pricing on the hot food -- every hot entrée we looked at was under $10. Between the two of us, we ordered seven different things, couldn't even finish everything, and our entire check was only $46. Great quality, great variety, and an incredible value. I will definitely be back. I was going to say I wish there were one closer to us...but maybe it's a good thing there isn't, because I would probably eat those ham and cheese buns every day! Five stars!

Extremely disappointing customer service, especially from the manager…read more I placed an order for two milk tea drinks at 1:24 PM. While waiting, I watched another customer receive her drinks even though I was already ahead of her by approximately four customers in line. At 1:32 PM, I approached the gentleman at the counter to ask about my order. He did not greet me or acknowledge me. He looked at my receipt, looked at his watch, and dismissively said, "It's not even 10 minutes." He then asked me, "What do you want to do?" When I asked what he meant, he told me I could either wait or get my money back. He checked in the back and came back telling me it would be another five minutes. I agreed to wait. Five minutes later, instead of simply addressing the delay or apologizing, he told me I could grab a bun while I waited. I explained that I already had a bun and that, considering the inconvenience and the way the situation was handled, I felt a discount would have been an appropriate gesture. Instead, he offered to refund my money and gave me another receipt without the drinks. The most disappointing part was Norman, the manager. At no point did he apologize, acknowledge the inconvenience, or make any genuine effort to resolve the situation professionally. As a manager, I expected him to step in, listen to the customer, and demonstrate some level of courtesy and accountability. Instead, his attitude left me with the very clear impression that he simply did not care whether he had my business or not. I completely understand that a bakery can get busy and that orders can sometimes take longer than expected. The issue wasn't simply the wait--it was the attitude and the complete lack of customer service. A simple apology and a professional response could have completely changed the experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling dismissed and unappreciated as a customer. Management should understand that customers remember how they are treated, especially when something goes wrong. I will not be returning, and I hope the owners take this feedback seriously and address how customers are being treated by management.
