Rudest clerks in any Chevron I have entered. I was on the phone with someone while checking out with my cup of ice and when the clerk said $1.00 for my ice the person on my phone asked why am i paying $1.00. My reply was its okay it's usually $.50 I won't come back here. The clerk then started saying to me that his store pays for electricity so they can charge whatever they want for ice. I didn't ask him one single question about his price for ice and didn't need an explanation. He kept talking to me as I paid until I said "I didn't say or ask you anything ". OMG this is the MOST expensive gas around. You expect to pay a little more at Chevron but damn they are nearly a dollar more than your AM/PM and even .60-75 cents more than other comparable brands. The only time you want to get gas here is if you have a red can because you been hoofing it for miles and this was the nearest gas station. But besides that, I come here to buy lottery tickets when I go to Starbucks nearby and the clerk is ALWAYS on his cell phone!!! Dude put it down for one minute because that is all I need. Sometimes he gets it wrong because he is more focused with his own conversation instead of ours. Terrible! Terrible! Do not come here if you don't have to. I never really have high expectations for gas stations when it comes to customer service and prices, but what can I say? This place is a joke. Unfortunately, I have to go here on the weekdays to fill up gas for my company vehicle. I never really want to spend more than 5 mins here if I can help it. First of all, they just let people walk in without masks in the middle of a pandemic. And the pandemic in California really isn't improving, in any sense. There's one man who runs the register sometimes and he has his mask pulled down to his chin, fully exposing his mouth and nose! Like I said, it's a joke. At the very least, they do have sneeze shields by the register. They have one nice cashier who's super friendly and she at least properly wears her mask when I've seen her. The guy, though, who I think might be the owner, always looks like he'd really be anywhere else. I get it. I've worked in customer service, so I know the feeling, but man, he really makes you feel like he wants you out ASAP. read more

The franchise owner of this overpriced gas station is a COMPLETE idiot. I gave him 3 lottery slips to run through his machine at $100 a piece(100 advance play Hotspots each) This owner is SO scatterbrained that he forgets which slips he ran through the machine. Instead of checking the tickets that printed out to the slip, he duplicates an existing ticket. Myself not watching this process only find out after I pay the $300 and get to my car, I returned to get him to fix the error and he refuses with a smile on his face. I just had the most surreal experience here, in the worst way possible. I am getting gas at the Chevron, mostly so I can stop to use the restroom (as I have been holding it for the hour that I had been driving thus far). I go into the Food Mart and walk up to the bathrooms. Before I could read the sign saying that both bathrooms were closed for cleaning, the attendant of the Food Mart walks out and states loudly and firmly that the bathrooms are closed for cleaning. Okay... that's fine. But I need to find a bathroom, so I ask him if there are other places with public restrooms around the area. He suggests the Carl's Junior. But I realize that they may have a policy of "Customers Only." Seeking his advice once more, I ask "They are probably customer only. Are there any other restrooms?" He literally starts yelling at me, to the point that other customers in the mart start staring and giving me sympathetic looks. "Bathrooms are closed! You have to come back in 20 minutes if you want to use." I was really taken aback. There was honestly no reason to have such a reaction to me. Even if I was annoying him with the two total sentences that I had uttered to him at this point, that is NO REASON to act so irrational and horrible to a customer or really any human being. I didn't even bring up (let alone consider) the fact that he alone was trying to clean two separate bathrooms at one time, making both of them unusable. In hindsight, that seems like a ridiculously inefficient thing to do, so I can only imagine he was getting defensive over something else completely or simply trying to avoid letting customers use the restrooms at all. I diverge. After he randomly started yelling at me, I even kept my cool and asked: "Why are you getting so upset?" in a soft tone with the intent of calming him down. I honestly should have just left, because it only got worse from there. He yells back "Because I just told you the bathrooms were closed. You have to come back in 20 minutes. I already told you this!" The conversation up until this point literally took less than 2 minutes, but he acts like I have been asking him for a place to pee for an excessive amount of time. Trust me, if it had been that long, I would have peed my pants already. Because of his irrational response, I literally am on the brink of tears. I have no idea why this guy, who probably owns the place, is yelling at one of his customers! I react in a way any confused human reacts and I am a little ashamed, but I want my story to be heard. I walk away and sarcastically say "Thank you so much for all the help." At least I am not raising my voice or being mean, but it was sarcasm, (so I didn't keep my cool completely for the entire conversation). He says "You're welcome" sarcastically back. I don't even understand what just happened. I really want to make an official complaint against this attendant, and I have never done anything like that in my life. I avoid confrontation in many ways, but this was totally uncalled for in every respect and I am willing to do everything in my power to bring his actions to his boss's attention. Worst gas station I've ever visited. Gas was expensive $5.19 a gallon while every other chevron is at $4.19-$4.79 a gallon. To purchase gas was because my empty light came on, then get rudely (yelled)loud response the clerk with the turban when I ask politely if he can turn on the air to pump my tires was the worst experience ever. Clerk tells(yelled) angrily to me that he has no control of the air and that the county owns the air and he doesn't have control to turn it on. I went in to ask if it was correct and the man working told me gas is not $3.09 anywhere and insisted I did not know what I was talking about and it was going up tomorrow. This station is a total rip off and scam. Avoid them and go to Shell right down the street. It is $2.99 a gallon today. I've never been treated this bad in all my life at a gas station or any other retail store. I filled up my tank with gas and paid for the gas at the pump. Then I walked into the store to buy a drink. I walked up to the counter to pay for my $4 drink and the man working at the counter asked me if that's all I needed, and I said yes. Then he asked me how I was paying and I said credit card. So he told me that it's a $5 minimum. So I said ok, I'll use debit. Then he told me that was $0.50 fee. I said "ok that's fine" and put my card in the machine. Then I selected debit on the machine and paid. He then began literally yelling at me, and grabbed my drink that I just paid for and yelled some more saying that I hit the wrong button, I'm stupid, I should watch what I'm doing, etc. He then took the drink and acted like he wasn't going to give it to me. I was like what's going on here and I even said "um, what's going on? Did I pay for this or not?" And he started yelling some more and told me to leave! He reluctantly gave me the drink (I paid for) and pointed to the door to send me out! On top of that I couldn't even understand what he was saying with the thick accent. I'm a 45 year old professional ... never been treated this way my whole life... Chevron and the owner of this store should be ashamed and you shouldn't spend your money here at all costs. Convenient location off the 80 freeway with food and hotels nearby. The convenience doesn't justify the higher prices of comparable convenience stores and gas stations in the area. The attendant was very rude. We are traveling by motorcycle and needed a detailed map of California. We tried to look at the only one of just California to make sure it would work for us and he told us we couldn't look at it without buying it. I understand, but it wasn't in a package and it wasn't a known AAA or Rand McNally map, so we just wanted to check first. $7 for said map and it had major freeways and cities, but the main highlight was casinos. A casino map. It didn't help us at all. Then he impatiently started asking us where we were going and what we were looking for. I was put off by his mannerisms and attitude, so I declined his help. We didn't get a drink, snack (Subway in the same building), or fill up our gas tank. We're Chevron card holders, so we always choose Chevron, but in this area we'll go somewhere else for gas and drinks this time and next time. You should too. read more

I used to like using this car wash after driving back from Tahoe. The Laserwash 4000. I bored my friends with how great the wash is. So last week I drove in after Burning Man, my van covered in dust, bought some gas and a car wash. Drove into the wash, and the Laserwash 4000 started its magic. It got about half way through the routine. It had just rinsed the left side of my car and then sprayed a bunch of soap on the right said. Then it stopped. Dead. It has a display that showed it on about step 2 of 6. The display went dark. I waited for a minute, then called the inside of the store on my cell phone. "Hi I'm in the car wash and it seems to have stopped in the middle. Can you reset it?" "What kind of wash did you buy?" "Deluxe". "Ok." (click, hung up) Ten minutes later I got impatient and drove out and went inside. "Hey the car wash didn't finish washing my car. Can you reset it for me?" "I can't help you." (waves me away) "No I paid for a car wash and I didn't get it." He looks at my wet car. "It looks fine!" (waves me away) (mind you drying is part of the process) "Can you give me a new code?" "No." "No. I paid for a car wash and I didn't get one. You at least have to give me my money back." He takes my card and credits me the $7. "Can I buy another car wash now?" "No. Please leave." I drove my soapy car under the bridge to the Shell station to finish washing. Needless to say, I won't be back. I think that takes the cake for the rudest service ever.
