One lady in particular was extremely knowledgeable about the products and the area, and was extremely nice. It is a tourist trap and priced like it, but overall a clean one with some fun stuff. I mean, python jerky?!? We tried the date shake. It was quite tasty. We purchased dates and ended up choosing camel jerky for the kids. There was a brief moment of, "would anyone eat the tarantula if we bought it?" - NAH. We left it for future customers, along with snackable crickets and bugs. It was a fun stop in the desert and cool to see the date palms full of fruit.

Shell offers gasoline, diesel, and electric vehicle (EV) (including Tesla) charging with 23 charge points; the price for gas was competitive. Restrooms were immaculate. There's a Subway restaurant on site, as well as a coffee station, and snacks galore. There's also a super helpful machine outside wherein you can purchase gallons of water (very useful in the desert! And, as part-time RVers, we'd love to see these everywhere). The primary reason for our stop was for my husband to get coffee, as he needed some caffeine given our long drive. He got a dark roast, which he characterized as good and hot. Seemed to be expensive at $2.66, but we're not sure of the going rates these days given tariffs on coffee. The cashier was efficient, but neither friendly nor unfriendly. We would stop here again.
