Dateland is in a really unique space since there really isn't too much out there besides rest stops or you would have to drive several miles to get to a similar spot somewhere else. Dateland offers a gas station, convenience store, pizza hut, Dateland shakes, Tesla supercharger station, and a gift shop. Most of the places inside the travel center are open pretty late so it's not too bad to roll over here late in the evening for a pit stop, especially since other stations aren't really around that offers this level of variety to you on your drives. Will definitely be using this center again!

Well, now we will be splitting our time with the presence of a new Maverik directly across from Love's. The employees were so nice and friendly and the store was stocked full of great stuff, like you'd expect from Maverik. We travel a lot and know that Maverik has competitive gas prices, a great rewards program, and clean restrooms for travelers. My wife and I had been hosting a Lego Experience at the Yuma County Fair and heard that we were featured on the front page of the Yuma Sun. We were able to get some copies from the newsstand at Maverik and talk to the clerks about our story. They were wonderful and congratulated us about it. Definitely planning on going to Maverik the next time we are in Yuma.

I looked on Yelp and found this place and hobbled there on my "run-on" flat tire. They were so nice. They didn't have my specialty tire, but immediately got on the phone and found a place in Yuma. They actually drove me to Yuma, which was probably 30 minutes away and drove me back. Knowing that I needed to be in San Diego by a certain time, the "pit crew" was ready to throw my tire on so I could take off. They charged me nothing. I was flabbergasted. What a great group of guys. Shell offers gasoline, diesel, and electric vehicle (EV) (including Tesla) charging with 23 charge points; the price for gas was competitive. Restrooms were immaculate. There's a Subway restaurant on site, as well as a coffee station, and snacks galore. There's also a super helpful machine outside wherein you can purchase gallons of water (very useful in the desert! And, as part-time RVers, we'd love to see these everywhere). The primary reason for our stop was for my husband to get coffee, as he needed some caffeine given our long drive. He got a dark roast, which he characterized as good and hot. Seemed to be expensive at $2.66, but we're not sure of the going rates these days given tariffs on coffee. The cashier was efficient, but neither friendly nor unfriendly. We would stop here again.
