I ordered a iPhone charging cable from this Shell Convenience Shop location via UberEats on March…read more21 and while a convenience shop doesn't typically warrant a review - I wanted to note the excellent customer service from the individual at this Shell location. (My iPhone cable showed it to be charging with the lighting sign on the charging bar on the iPhone but it didn't seem to actually be charging and was running out of batteries - so I needed a replacement USB lighting cable ASAP... it was past 10 PM so most shops were closed but thankfully there was UberEats.) A quick search on the UberEats app showed several gas stations that carried the lighting cable. The first one I ordered from Petro Canada didn't have it in stock so they cancelled the order. I replaced the order with Shell on 49th Avenue that also showed to have the iPhone charging cable... along with three chocolate bars (Free delivery with $15 purchase on UberEats with Uber One membership at $9.99/month - the chocolate bars at this Shell was also cheaper than most convenience shops or gas station convenience shops. Two Kinder Bars were only $2 with a promo on UberEats and Caramilk was $1.5?) Anyways, shortly after I received a call from Shell with the attendant wanting to confirm which cable it was (the individual mentioned he used Samsung and wasn't familiar with the variation of iPhone cables) to ensure I had the right cable for the newer generation iPhone. What I noted was how polite and respectful the individual was on the phone (even on hanging up saying Thank You and have a nice day)... surprised at the courtesy and respect from a convenience shop at a gas station. Got some extra time so thought to write a review to note that the staff here seem very friendly and respectful. Confirmed which cable was needed and asked if I had any colour preferences (no) and received my charging cable in hand (with some chocolates!) shortly later just as my phone ran out of batteries. The convenience of UberEats and 24 hours convenience shops (I appreciate the attendant taking the time to ensure I had the right charging cable as the previous Petro Canada also called inquiring if it was type-C before cancelling the order when clarifying it was the 8-pin and they didn't have stock.)

As I've never bring my car to an automatic car wash before, I'm quite clueless on how it works. The staff was very kind and explained the process very well. I also found out I could redeem my PC optimum points for a free car wash (any type for 10k points). I'm not sure if you can do the redemption at the pump or if it's only inside the store. You get a $2 off any car wash when you get gas. And you can add the car wash option at the pump. Without the discount the basic car wash starts at $13.99 or $15.99. I remembered it being quite steep. The price chart is available at the cashier and I forgot to take a picture of that. The wash is pretty good and I can see the dust and grime being washed away by the high pressured water. I think the front of my car is cleaner than the rest. I've gotten gas here before and it's quite the usual process. If you're collecting pc points, I find it's better to get your card scanned at the store. Somehow my points tend not to show up when I do it at the pump. Maybe it's just my card. Location is quite convenient too. Near the willingdon and kingsway junction.

This kind of car wash is only few in lowermainland where high impack cleaning technique is used. When you gas-up you get a $2 discount on any kind of carwash you want, aside from not so expensive the result is good, and one more advantage is they are open 24 hours. Good location along kingsway near metrotown. Most of the time there is a line up in here that only shows a lot of patrons are happy with the result. I highly recommend this place for those who loke a touchless careash.3 thumbs up

The cons are that there are not a lot of pumps and plus with the congested traffic it was not so wow. But my goal has always been trying to save money. So this was the place to fill up for gas for me. Trying to leave the gas station was not fun either. The location is convenient.

While I can't comment on the prices for this particular gas station (gas is just all around…read moreexpensive in my opinion), I do wish to comment on my experience at this gas station the other day. This station is located on the corner of a busy intersection, which means the concrete dividers limits when you can become a patron of this location (unless you are a big enough fan to find a side street to turn around a double back). The other day I was headed along the right direction, noted my tank could use a fill-up soon. Seeing the station listed a decent gas price (for the area at least), I thought I would fill up. The lot seems to be a lot smaller than your average gas station, though I can't tell if that is because is it bordered by houses and the large convenience store, or if the square footage is genuinely on the small side. Given the fact that I saw nothing but apartments and homes on my drive there, plus a school across the street, I do consider it smart to have a larger convenience store in lieu of a few extra pumps. For whatever reason, the machine would not read my points card no matter how many times I tried. So off I went, mask on face, into the store to see if I could prepay for gas in person. The staff there were both courteous and friendly, and another patron even let me go ahead of him because he was waiting for some sort of order that had been delayed. While I suspect prepay orders with points cards were a rare occurrence here, the staff worked walked me through the payment one step at a time and even thanked me for my patience. I've had my fair share of lackluster dealings with gas station attendants, but I can safely say this was NOT one of those times. Somehow the staff's friendly demeanor and smooth handling of the situation dissipated any frustration I may have felt over the finicky machine. I even went on to fill up and drive off in a better mood. These days, a lot of us prepay at the pump and rarely run into the convenience store. If for any reason you find yourself needing to do so at this location...you may just have a very pleasant experience.
