Always appreciate well maintained restrooms. Thanks! As I have said in the past, I normally like to return the favor for the provided facilities. Hence, I bought one of my favorite candy bars, Whatchamacallit, "The deliciously crispy Whatchamacallit Candy Bar has a flavor and a name that are impossible to forget." Love my candy bar! =) I wish my #1 favorite candy bar, Mars Candy Bar, would come back to us one day. Just a little background... I don't normally pump Arco gas because many blue moons ago my old Toyota Camry (I don't have this car anymore) wasn't performing well after pumping Arco gas so I stopped using Arco and I haven't gone back to them. I guess it all depends on the car and if it will consume the gas well or not... just like our bodies, we eat certain foods and if they don't sit well, then it's probably not for us... same analogy! STATION / OTHER: This Shell gas station is on the corner of Mountain Ave and Foothill Blvd in Upland. To be honest, this may have been my very first visit ever. It has a food mart with Subway attached to it. I didn't walk inside because I paid at the pump. Gas pump was in decent shape, but I can tell some wear and tear is on its way. Prices were okay. Anyway, it was a very quick visit... pump and go! LOL EXTERIOR: The outside area was a little cluttered with stuff. It could use a good floor cleansing and wash. RECOMMEND THIS PLACE? If you're on the north side of Foothill Blvd and need gas, this is a good choice. There is another gas station diagonally located across the street from this Shell. They are on the south side of Foothill Blvd. The intersection is covered! I have yet to see 4 gas stations at one intersection just like the 4 corners... maybe one fine day I will!

I am glad they have a nice store and a Subway, depending if you want snacks or a sandwich. Upon arrival, I pulled up, and one of the gas pumps was non operational. No cone was in front, which would have been an indicator to not try that gas pump. This is why they lost a star with me. So I ended up having to wait for the guy in front of me to finish since all the other pumps were being used. The gas was $4.43 a gallon, but with my Platinum 10 cent and my current T-Mobile 15 cent discounts, the price went down to $4.18 per gallon. Still not as good as the $3.84 per gallon that I could get at the Shell in Ontario. Hence, another 1 star taken away. I don't mind paying a little more for the quality of gas they have. Whenever I go inside, I have had good service, whether dealing with the Shell front counter person or the Subway sandwich artist. I use this place as an emergency Shell station only if needed since it's less than a mile from my house. I am sure we will cross paths again, my local Shell.

Got off the 210 freeway at Campus Ave. Drove right into this Shell. Filled up the gas tank. And breathed out a sigh of relief. Whew, another close call! LOL As for gas prices, I don't really check for which gas station has the best price. If I need gas, I will go with the closest gas station. However, I don't just pump any gas brand. I am choosy in this area because I want to make sure my car doesn't have a hard time with unknown gas. Shell is one of the good ones. It was indeed a very quick visit as all gas station visits are unless I have to walk inside the food mart or see the cashier. I prefer to pay at the pump and not go see the cashier unless I have to. Last resort, I would write down or take a photo of the cost. Price was in the low $5.00 for regular octane 87. I was going to pump half tank, but decided to fill her up. Why waste time and energy for a savings of some change? A restroom is available in doors (just ask for a key) this is how they ensure low graffiti, and a clean restroom). MANY pumps are available, and their coffee selection is huge, they have tons of different creamers, syrups, a whip cream machine etc! Their food is always fresh, they mark each item with time expiration, ensuring fresh readily available hot food (hamburgers, hot dogs) etc. Plenty of drinks, with fridges labels "energy drinks", "diet", "sodas", "beer" etc. Making it easy on the eyes.
