First- their beer/alcohol selection is straight up bonkers- they even have a walk-in. I typically find special releases from PNW breweries, selections from very local brewers I can't find easily in Seattle, ciders, and the popular non-alcoholic options. Second- they smoke their own meats for the late week/weekend crowd. There hasn't been a single visit where I haven't picked up a pound of brisket, and they also offer other cuts and meats like chicken. The counter for this is set up on the side with the cafe. There's also a very popular Thai takeout restaurant in the store as well. This place is a great opportunity to shop where the locals shop and enjoy some of their unique offerings.

I told the cashier to call Island County Sheriff, they wouldn't come out and would laugh their asses off at the suggestion. I complained to IGA Corporate and the local store manager. Corporate said they would speak to the store owner, but I never received a call, and the store manager said she would speak to the cashier who assaulted me, but in the same breath blame shifted it to me. There was a woman behind the counter on a computer with her back turned. She kept her back turned as I entered and approached the counter. I asked where the restrooms were located. No response. I asked again a little louder thinking maybe she was hard of hearing. She again did not turn or make a response. So I asked again, louder. She turned and gave me a sweeping arm gesture. I said, are you saying the restrooms are around the back outside? Her back was to me again and no response. I repeated myself and got no response. It was so bizarre I wondered if she actually worked there and the I asked: do work here? (Ok I yelled it.) She turned around again and said we have no restrooms for you. It was strange and rude and did I say strange? (It even crossed my mind that she had the real employee tied up in the back and was robbing the place.and didn't want to turn around so I could see her face.) This is a truck stop type gas station with a mini mart attached. We noticed there were zero trucks or cars getting gas while across the road a similar gas station (Shell) was packed. The truckers evidently have learned to avoid this place. Undercover boss would have a field day at this place.
