I had a nice experience here tonight getting gas after I had my hair done and I wanted to thank Oscar for being such a gentleman. . The #7 pump wasn't working so he came out to help me after I went into the store twice where I had to wait in line because people were buying junk food. Do NOT stop here. I recommend the location at 515 E Avenida Pico in San Clemente, which is only about two miles away. I stopped by on Monday around 1:30 PM to get gas and chips, but the employee (Leslie) told me I could only pay for the chips inside and had to pay for gas at the pump due to her shift closing. That didn't make sense, especially since paying at the pump places a temporary hold on your card, which I was trying to avoid. The lack of customer service was frustrating, so I ended up going to a different location. They really need better training and more customer focused employees. read more

While this gas station doesn't have a car wash, they do have a pretty good snack shop and a relatively clean bathroom. I've heard Chevron with techtron gas is typically the best quality for cars! This location is 1 skip away from the on-ramp to the 5 freeway. Very convenient! read more

Possibly the worst gas station in San Clemente, I've went there multiple times to discover the doors are locked and their on break. Walked in before and the staff has refused to ring up items because they're on break. The bathrooms are always closed because they don't want to provide the service of clean restrooms. The absolute worst service. I work at a bar right by here it's the first gas station before I hit the freeway on the way home so it's convenient but I cringe every time I have to use it. Bathroom is always "out of service". The lady that works nights is so rude to everyone there's always some reason she can't help me I always pay cash for gas because my card has been hacked from there but also again bartender so I tend to only have cash but I can't go in there 90% of the time if it's not someone's "break" it's something else happening with some ridiculous sign printed off on the counter...last night it was "can't help for at least 10 minutes while I'm inputting sales" I didn't see it right away I said "hi can I put 50 on this pump" she points to the side and goes "you can't read?" So for the first time ever there I said you know what I'm getting gas somewhere else and she yelled something snide as I walked out...absolutely terrible I'm annoyingly nice and she is so mean I drove on E almost ran out of gas to the next spot but better than being treated so badly when you're giving someone else your money for a service you need. read more

My black friend & I stopped in to get gas around 230a this morning (3/5/23) after being delivered gas by AAA bc we ran out of gas. I asked to use the bathroom to which the latina lady on duty told me they were not opened because they needed to be cleaned. There were TWO gender neutral bathrooms! As i got back to my friend's car, I see that the lady allowed a latimo male to use the bathroom. She didn't clean it between when I asked & when the guy went....I feel this lady was being racist bc my friend was black despite him purchasing gas for his BMW SUV! read more

I'm actually a little sad that Valero's is gone and has been replaced by Chevron. I kind of label Chevron's as the big 3 (Shell and 76), but I always thought Valero to be a under the radar less expensive equivalent. Anyhow Converting to Chevron actually took quite a bit of time and work. It wasn't simply a rebranding, it was months of construction and building, but man does it look spanking new. Fresh paint, blacktop, pumps, lines, but he crazy slope from the houses is still a bit of a nuisance when you drive a Nissan Waltima like me. I think it's just in my head, but you do pay for that premium name of Chevron, I'm getting Valero in comparably priced areas for 8 cents cheaper, now I'm not sure it's worth the supposed upgrade, but I love the location, can get off and on the freeway in minimal effort as opposed to stations north and south of here off exits when going Northbound. Again it's not a convenience store so limited everything except drinks, a healthy supply, just not selection. read more

Not much to say about this Chevron other than it is in a great location for me! Driving 60 mi every day this place is always a lifesaver when I am on my last drop coming North through Camp Pendleton. The gas is average with the price, a little above Arco and a little below Shell. About $3.13 for regular right now. read more

Would not let me use the restroom because it was just cleaned. They seemed to enjoyed smugly turning me away instead of offering to help me. They said the floor was wet and it is policy that no one can walk on it. There was no fan to dry the floor, nor would they dry it with a towel. In the middle of business hours at 10:30 on a weekday morning, they turned a paying customer away. Ridiculous. I will never again buy gasoline here. read more

Stopped in at this location at 12:50 P.M. on a Friday and purchased 10 dollars worth of snacks. Stood in line for the bathroom with six people in front of us because only one bathroom was open. We asked Rosa, the manager to open the other bathroom, she was more interested in arguing with us about why she can't open the bathroom and said it was due to a lack of toilet paper. She eventually made her way to the locked bathroom, and continued to argue with us as to why she couldn't open the door. After a few more minutes of arguing, she opened the door, finally. The bathroom was pristine and fully stocked. Clearly she was lying and felt it was more important to argue with us then open the bathroom door for a paying customer. There was a total of 3 employees inside at the time. The 3 of them were standing behind the counter not doing anything while paying customers were standing in line for the bathroom. They definitely felt it was more important to argue rather than to provide customer service. read more

Writing for a woman friend who had to stop and find motor oil on her way from LA to San Diego. The oil light was on the dashboard, it was around 830p last night and she didn't know the area. Was headed to Shell by her GPS, but found this Chevron with bright lighting. She was able to get "good enough" oil for her car, pour it in without fear of being stalked. The oil light went off and she continued home. She praises the bright lighting, clean business and the lady cashier was very nice. read more
