Drive through car wash. $8. Fast and easy. Great for the heavy salt removal after coating the saltflats

Typically has the highest gas prices of any station in town. If you're really desperate, buy a gallon to get you to the next station

I must clarify, I'm giving them a 5 star because of most of their gas stations. However this one…read moreon 500 s in salt lake is dodgy. Not due to lack of trying with a full time security fairs when you walk in. But there are homeless and drug deals going on right off the property. Homeless tents and carts spread across the streets. With that said, I love that Maverik has cornered the gas station market. We use their Nitro debit card that gets you an automatic 6 cents off per gallon and reduces an XL foam cup drinks to .99 cents. I am proud to say when I get the kids without mom for an errand, I always stop at a Maverik and direct the kids to grab one item of their liking. Usually a Chiller (slurpee type drink) or a candy or a soda. We can get out for less than $7 per stop and I feel like the greatest dad in the planet. Thx Maverik!! Their slogan is "adventures first stop" which I agree with however they are also our last stop. We hit it on the way out of town and top off on our way back home. I also enjoy a quick stop for a F'Real shake. Reese's is my favorite. The kids love the s'mores and Oreo flavors. For $3.19 it's easier to grab than the $5-$7 dollar shakes places are charging these days. I am so grateful they seem to have a location at every exit along I-15.

I'd give this Maverick 5 stars if it weren't for the homeless people that frequent this location…read more(although, it's not Maverick's fault). I live right around the corner and I always go in to grab snacks for my roommates and I. If I go later at night I always make sure to bring a friend with me. Nothing bad has ever happened but it's better to be safe. The people that work there are mostly amazing and very upbeat for working graveyard shifts! I definitely have a lot of respect for them for making that sacrifice. All in all, if you go late, be smart and bring someone else and be prepared to see homeless people (just as you would in most of downtown Salt Lake, even places as upscale as the City Creek Center and Temple Square).

I stopped by to fill up my tank but the first pump I tried was broken. The display said it accepted…read moremy credit card but then the Maverik logo came on the screen and overlapped the text. Nothing happened after that and I tried lifting the nozzle and selecting a fuel grade which seemed to work but as soon as I started pumping the gas it shut off and then the screen on the pump blacked out. I went inside and told the guy behind the counter what happened and asked if the pump charged my card. He said no, and told me to try another pump because he didn't have time to fix the one I tried to use. I wanted to pay by card at the register but switched to cash because the guy was giving me a hard time about credit cards for some reason. I gave him $40 and then he printed out this ticket with an authorization code on it and told me I had to enter it at the pump to unlock it. I've never had to do that at a gas station before. I had to wait a while because all the other pumps were in use and when I tried the code at another pump it wouldn't let me pick a fuel grade because it didn't register that I lifted the nozzle. I kept trying but nothing happened. I went back to the guy who was now smoking a cigarette outside, and when I explained the situation he got annoyed and went over to "do it for me." When he tried the pump the same thing happened so he said to use another pump because this one wasn't working either. No shit Sherlock. I was wasting my time because these damn pumps didn't work and this dude was treating me like some kind of idiot who didn't know how to pump gas. I wanted my money back so we went inside and he gave me my $40. I said thanks anyway and he replied "yeah" but he was sneering at me. I went to another gas station in the area and filled up my tank in less than two minutes. Simple and fast, unlike the 15 minutes I wasted at the Maverik. I find it a little ironic that Maverik's corporate headquarters are only a couple miles away and one of their gas stations in the area is a broken mess. I won't be visiting another Maverik.
