Maverick Store #5107 Grinnell, Iowa…read more First time customer at this store today. This store was filthy and not up to Maverick standards. There were no napkins for customers. Asked the cashier, what do I use to eat and wipe my hands, he stated, 'I don't know and then said, we have been waiting in a truck for a week'. I went in to use my monthly $4 coupon (Burrito and large fountain drink) I showed the cashier my coupon and then put in my nitro card, then looked at my reception. I stated, this should have been $4 plus 7 percent tax and you charged me $4.79. The brunette lady stated 'he did not even charge you for the drink'. I politely stated 'I had a coupon for $4 for both and you are over charging me by .79 cents. If you do this to a 100 customer, you are making $$'. The burrito was cold, old and if I can post a photo of it, I will as it was not hot, fresh and looked liked it had been in the display case for over 30 minutes. My normal Maverik store is in West Des Moines off of Mills Civic Parkway near Glen Town Center. It is clean, fresh, very clean and I have always had a positive experience And the food is fresh. I called the 1-800 number to report my experience and she stated she Sent a note to the District Manager, then forwarded me to voicemail of Risk Management. No one has addressed the issue that I was overcharged nor why the coupon was not applied or the fact that the burrito was awful! No Stars or Rating Given as this was a FAIL!

If that makes any difference at all I don't know, but Chevron and Sinclair tend to be my principal fill-up stations. This Chevron has several pumps and is usually not very busy, so waiting for a pump generally isn't a concern. The large convenience store inside offers all of the products you'd expect to find: sodas and bottled waters, candy and gum, chips and other salty snacks, as well as pain killers and windshield washer fluid. This Chevron station also shares space with a Burger King, making it a convenient one-stop-shop for gas, some Peach Rings, and a burger.
