I'm actually a fan of truck stops and I think there should be more reviews of them on Yelp. A…read moregreat truck stop has 1) CLEAN bathrooms, 2) services for truckers (showers, etc), 3) good gas prices for all, 4) decent food options, a cafe is a plus, 5) good selection of road necessities - snacks, pantry staples, audio entertainment, etc, and 5) conveniently located off the interstate. The TA Travel Center & Truck Stop off of I-80 at Lake Point does not disappoint in any of these departments. I've stopped here many times while on my way from Salt Lake to Utah's West Desert, but this review is specifically on my most recent visit - this morning. Bathrooms - completely clean! in fact the stainless steel stall doors were actually shiny. All the required necessities were present. No complaints, A+ condition. Food - there is actually quite the variety here. You can find the standard convenience store stuff (candy, chips, soda, coffee, etc) but I was actually surprised to find that they had some of the more 'healthier' snack options. Not a huge area but enough to make an impression and certainly something I have not seen anywhere else. There is also a sit-down cafe called 'Country Pride' which has its own page on Yelp for food reviews. And there is an attached Burger King and Taco Bell. Now, I need to give props to the Burger King... the two ladies running the place were kind, friendly, and gave me one of the best breakfast burger experiences I have had. Kudos. Other items- yes it is conveniently located, gas prices are average for the area, and a lot of selection of non-food road items. Overall, I'm a fan and certainly an above average truck stop!

I buy the burritos burritos are cold. Chickens are cold. Service is not good morning time bad…read moreservice.

I can't tell you how excited I am to have discovered this place! My #1 food complaint about moving…read moreto Utah from D.C. was our tragic lack of good middle-eastern options. In a city where people think Mazza is good middle-eastern food... I'll just say that the situation was dire. (Curry Fried Chicken is a quirky and delicious fusion exception, but still didn't scratch the purist itch.) Enter Market on Main! Strangely they also have Indian food, but it is not at all fusion. There is the Indian half of the menu and the Afghani half. And they are both solid. Their veg Samosas had a pastry crust that even Paul Hollywood would begrudgingly enjoy, and their garlic nan had a crispiness I haven't had before but was *delicious.* But Salt Lake has good Indian already... The Afghani was the part to get excited about--not just good for Utah, but better than 90% of the Afghani food I have had anywhere. The chicken kebab was so tender and full of flavor, and the lamb was amazing. The Mantu (beef dumplings with a yogurt sauce) was fantastic. I could eat that every day. Their pita was also excellent--some of them best I have had. And their rice was so good that we actually kept eating it even after we ran out of sauce. The only items that weren't excellent were the beef kebab (not much flavor) and the chick peas (also not much flavor and the sauce was a little thin). Otherwise this place knocked it out of the park. The restaurant is in the back of a market that almost feels like a New York-style deli. So don't miss it thinking you've got the wrong place. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

This is the best convenience store I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The cashier was…read moredelightful, and the building has a wonderful ambiance, which you typically wouldn't expect from a convenience store. It's a bit out of my way but I will definetly be coming here again.
