The special today was chicken etouffee served on a bed of white rice for $13! The gravy was rich & flavorful, the chicken was tender. So tasty...they also have a combo with BBQ ribs that are so tender the meat falls off the bone clean! All combos also come with a square slice of cornbread. Their cornbread is more cake like & sweet style. The owner Kenny is nice & hospitable, attentive always making sure everything is ok. I was too full for Dole Whip today but they had original pineapple flavor & watermelon as well...the 2nd flavor changes periodically but they always have pineapple. Soulfood Sunday is always the last Sunday of the month but they always have wings, catfish, grilled sandwiches & more on the daily & they even have a tables & chairs as well as a high counter seating along the window. Obviously, I know this because I called it in. Secondly, it borders on harassment when I get a recorded message EVERY DAY until I pick up my prescription. Can we say overkill? it's ridiculous. Plus, there has been once when I called in a prescription (two days in advance) and when I went in to pick it up, all I get is a blank look and the person telling me, "We never received a phone call to get that prescription refilled." Bullshit. I always call in my prescriptions at least 2 days in advance. Sometimes 3 when they need a doctor's authorization. I told the person that I need it right now. I'm not leaving without it. Today, I picked up 2 prescriptions. I complained, once again about the recorded messages. I've called in twice before complaining about this. But apparently, they don't listen. So, when I told the lady this, all I get as an answer is, "well, we don't have any control over that". Once again, I call bullshit. So, because of this, I plan on taking my business elsewhere.
