Although there are some homeless persons near the freeway who stop there for coffee etc., they are known and watched over by the employees, so it feels safe. The guys who work in this gas station are very nice. They have the cheapest gas in town and a nice selection of snacks and drinks in the store. The parking lot is always clean, the squeegees and towels are always on the buckets, ready to clean your windshield and they are conveniently located right by the freeway entrance/exit. At night the gas station is brightly lit. However, there are homeless people hanging around most nights, trying to sell stuff or ask for money, but not the fault of the gas station.
