Place is under new management and they remodeled the gas pumps. The new gas pumps have the newest technology and an easy touch screen that plays the when you are pumping gas. A good distraction if you aren't paying attention to how much gas you're pumping in your car. As for inside the gas station nothing has changed. It's still the same with the layout, not very bright inside. The light still dim. Not much of deals for drinks or snacks. I just come for the gas. read more

I was surprised last week to learn that the Chevron station I've been going to for over 30 years was under new management. I am pleased to say it is a very welcome change! They put in brand new pumps that work awesome! I also came in with a propane tank to exchange and as soon as I took it out of the car a nice gentleman offered to carry it to the tank-cage and pointed to his co-worker who was already ringing it up; super friendly and helpful staff! Super efficient Chevron near Whittier Narrows... Always one of my pit stops weekly and had to comment on the fact this station is always clean, the staff are courteous, and it's easy to drive in / out. If it weren't for the exorbitant gas prices nationwide, I'd probably give them an extra star. But, for sure the best in town overall. read more

I wish my review made a dent on the awful grade this Chevron already has. I don't expect much, if I go in for 1 gallon of gas to hold me down till I get to a better gas station I at the least expect a gallon of gas. Unfortunately, this gas station took a gallons worth out of my account and gave me NOTHING. I thought to tell the cashier but I got a well rehearsed spiel about how old gas gauges work. Thanks for nothing Chevron, I should probably report fraud on my card given the reviews here. It's sad to feel this disappointed when the expectation is already dirt low. read more

The last 4 (FOUR) times I've stopped here for gas have each been disastrous. Gas comes out at a snail's pace. No exaggeration, 10 minutes of "filling up" will give you maybe 1.5 gallons of gas. I've given them 3 chances after the first horrible experience. I will not try again; shame on me for thinking they might actually get their sh*t together. read more

Card readers at the pump rarely work. Staff inside can be rude. Being rude doesn't really make me want to hand you my credit card. Pumps look like they could use some maintenance. Avoid this place if you can. read more

If it weren't for the fact that this place is on my way to/home from work and its cash price per gallon is lower than the other Chevron on my commute route, I probably wouldn't go here at all. Today there was a small dog with a collar and no tags that was hanging out around the gas station and was clearly hungry since it was following people inside the mart (and sniffing the beef jerky). The cashier was sweet but very scared of dogs and was just batting the dog away with a cardboard box. When I tried to leave after paying, the dog followed me to my car. I picked it up and brought it off to the side, but it kept wandering after me and after customers back into the mart, terrifying the cashier. After calling animal control and staying with the dog so it wouldn't go back into the mart, I was really, really late for work. When the owner came, he was extremely rude to me and was like, "This is not my responsibility. You care so much, you take care of it. Just get it off my business. If you can't take it, you should've just let the guy who offered to take it take it." (side note: that guy who offered to take the dog earlier said, "I can take it and dump it across the street or something." How horrible. I wasn't going to let that guy take that dog anywhere.) The owner was SO condescending and rude, something I'd noticed before on prior cash-fill-ups, but never wasted energy dwelling on. End of the story: Thankfully a dog owner/dog lover saw this interaction and my fury and offered to take the dog to the animal shelter. I decided never to come to this Chevron station again. I'd rather pay a few cents extra per gallon while using my credit card than give business to this jerkwad of an owner. read more

Went to get air and pump gas. The clerk told me that I needed to go pump gas before he would turn on the air. My car was already parked near the air and my tire dangerously low on air. Poor customer service and his attitude was shit. I didn't even buy gas or get air, I'd rather drive on my rim, fuck this place. read more

Had a extremely horrific experience. Gas station pump no#8 nozzle malfunctioned while fueling my motorcycle. The pump began to spill gas from the mouth of the nozzle. A fair amount of gas spilled onto my gas tank and dropped down to my engine. I walked inside to file a complain with the clerk "Hamid" and most importantly bring it to his attention on he potential danger his nozzle can present. I was met with extremely hostile service. Hamid began to yell and tell me that he has had over 10years of experience and this has never happened. At this point I asked him to calm down and to do he right thing and inspect the pump. He walked outside looked at the floor and again began yelling saying there is no gas on the floor so there is problem. I took every effort in my part not to grab this little old man and slam him on the floor. This piece of crap of a human being needs to be terminated. How is this guy Hamid working at a customer service job with that type of foul and disgusting attitudes towards loyal customers. I will not EVER gas up at his crappy station until this man is terminated. Do not come to his location. I wish I could select negative stars for this review. read more

There's a place to sit down in the food mart and an abundance of food, including a lot of products from Mexico. The employees were extremely friendly and welcoming and all said Happy New Year's to me, and made conversation. Was a lovely interaction when I was stranded for a short time in Pico Rivera. read more

They had told me I couldn't get the chevron gas card price because my chevron gas card was also a chevron business card or as they called it a credit card EVEN THOUGH it clearly says chevron gas card on it. strange because I have been filling up at multiple different locations no problem all while getting the customer discount! It's a gas station so expect there to be strange characters there through out the day. This one is close and convenient because I practically live streets over. The service has alway been average and I've never had problems with their gas, well, only with the weird guys staring me down in the middle of the night. It's nice and convenient. Was denied payment for gas with isis mobile wallet Today. Labor day. Guy behind counter told me that they do not take payments from "computer" payment systems or "what ever" I had. I proceeded to explain to him exactly what it was, and that I've purchased with this form of payment many times at this location. As I tried to explain again, he became extreamly agitated very quickly and started yelling at me in front of customers to with pay with credit card an ID or cash. And he started banging on the counter mumbling something. I tried to explain to him, AGAIN, that it was a pre paid payment card attached to a mobile payment system and that I didn't need any ID for a pre paid card. I also added that the company he works for, chevron, sponsors NFC payment systems and had installed them at almost all off there gas locations. He got even more agitated and raised his voice even more. At that point I didn't have the patience to deal with him any further. I decided to leave. It's really unfortunate that this had to happen. I Will say that from here forward I will never use a chevron gas station again. I will also be calling corporate in the morning. I called today but because of the holiday there was no one available. I just want to add I would rather run out of gas in front of a chevron and have AAA bring me gas than use chevron gas again. Do not ever go to this station.
