When I went inside the store, I felt the warmth of the staff. They are all polite and friendly, that includes the shoppers as well. I bought some snacks for the family for our 2 nights stay in LV (for the Bruno Mars Concert) The healthy snacks I bought almost got finished and we aren't even in our hotel room yet. The snacks I bought were all delicious and fresh. Anyway, on our way back to SD we stopped over again. I bought big packs of Macadamia nuts, cashew nuts, dried Kiwi, dried pineapple. I got addicted eating the nuts and the dried fruits; as of today, 'think there is only one serving left. I tried to check their website to check if I can order online, but it seems I can't. I was joking to my son if he can drive me there to get my favorite snacks (he laughed.) How I wish they can offer an online service. For those who are heading to Vegas, stop by to this place. I am recommending this place, it's a place where you can relax, and feel amazingly comfortable.

Biggest gas station in California, you find that there's plenty of people that take a rest stop here before continuing on the road. Inside has plenty of vendors including ice cream, coffee, and a whole selection of candy, snacks, etc. There's also plenty of souvenirs that you can purchase for memories. Restrooms are clean and plentiful in stalls. Love that inside is very spacious and outside is spacious as well. They're not 24/7, so plan accordingly, 6:00 AM - 12:00 AM (Next day). Another draw to EddieWorld is a supercharger station next to the gas station, competitive charging rates at $0.43/kWh and 18 accessible superchargers. Highly recommend this spot to take a rest stop during any road trips.

I had picked up a sheet with information on old Daggett from the Route 66 Museum in Barstow. Here's the short version. The original store burnt down in the Daggett fire of 1908. (the nearby buildings were also destroyed as well) But they rebuilt this place, and this became the first 'fire proof' building in the Mojave Desert. Fire proof due to the fact that the whole thing was re-built using a railroad carload of cement. (The roof too!) Back in the day, the place was one of few that exchanged gold dust and nuggets for cash that miners could spend. Later, in 1953, a safecracker got away with $1000.00 in gold dust and nuggets. But ya. Back over Columbus day weekend in 2017. I stopped in front of the place because it looked old. Then I read the paper and discovered it was actually old. Then I went in to buy a soda because it was kinda warm out. The guy behind the register was nice. The soda was cold. Boom. That's about how a convenience store run should be.

Upon entering the store the owner Joe made me feel comfortable with his warm greeting of welcome. For a small business they have good services and upon request will stock special items, such as favorite drinks or candy and snacks. You can rent a U-haul or car dolly. Pay your utility bill, send and receive money. Send small packages and even cash checks. So I suggest the next time your passing thru Daggett stop by Desert Market and say hello to Joe, Mic and Beckey. Dortha,
