My first yelp review is of a gas station. Cause they were jerks, and had conflicting price listings.

We ran a nail on the freeway and stopped at this gas station. Were helped immediately by a very competent technician. The nail got twisted into the tire and it was pretty difficult to repair it. The technician repaired the puncture superbly and installed the plug into a pretty big hole saving the tire. Amazing service! read more

I see they have a lot of pretty bad reviews here. However, I've used them twice for a smog check on two different cars and have no complaints. I've only delt with Craig and he got me in and out in about 30 minutes both times. The counter help is a different story though. They could really use a lesson in customer service. read more

I came here for full service gas and tire change. It's the closest station to my house, and it was an emergency to have my tire replaced. I would highly suggest going anywhere else. It took them close to 30 minutes to even acknowledge that I was in the full service lane, only after I went inside and told them I needed full service. Their attitude was horrible, I'm not sure why. The service man was a complete jerk when asking about service, so I decided to take the car somewhere else. read more

I had no joke a bag of chips my boyfriend asked me to throw away and I asked her " where is the trash" she just yelled outside look. Idk where the trash could be when you're pointing at air ass. was gonna give this place 5stars for how much fun i had arguing with the manager here. i bought an iphone charger which broke after the first use so i went back to return it, and the manager insisted i dig through the trash to find my receipt. crazy! so disrespectful. 30 minutes later, i won the argument and was given a new, crappy charger. as i was leaving, an older women walked in to complain about her experience being intimidated by a worker. such a mess. read more

I called ahead and made an appointment for a smog check. When I drove up, Greg took my car right away and told me it would only take about twenty minutes. I walked over to the nearby shopping area and ran a few errands and when I returned my car was waiting for me. Both Greg and Cal were pleasant and helpful. This is the second car I've had them do a smog check on, as well as filling my tank hundreds of times over the years and I've never had a bad experience at this service station. Perhaps the people posting the negative reviews are the jerks with bad attitudes! read more

This place is a joke pulled up to get gas inserted my credit card into the pump it didn't work twice so I walk inside and OMAR the ASSHOLE WITH AN ATTITUDE looks up from his paper work and I inform him about the problem and he nonchalantly continues to do his paper work and ask me "what are you looking at" and I respond I'm just waiting for you to help me is all he then proceeds to walk outside takes the gas gun out of my gas tank resets the pump and hands me back the gas gun and I look at this ASSHOLE and asked him if he could put the gas gun back into my gas tank which he did with an ATTITUDE and proceeded to walk inside and just completely TURNED THE PUMP OFF AT $6 and instead of having a pissy fit with this ASSHOLE I left and went to a different gas station after I got his name and after this LOUSY TRUE REVIEW I will be calling his boss ~ read more

The young woman working there apparently hates her job and takes it out on customers. She rang up the wrong charge (without the Vons Club discount) and would not correct the transaction (there went my $3). She cast the blame on me for not telling her about my Vons card in time... mind you, the reason I had to deal with her at all was because the credit card machine at the pump was broken and has been for months. Her last comment to me was that the other machines were working and I was welcome to use them next time. Her attitude was rude and derisive and left me speechless. So much for the concept of a service station being interested in providing service. They're the only gas station in that area of Malibu, so obviously NOT concerned about losing customers. Too bad they have such a horrible employee. I'm avoiding this place from now on and sharing my sentiments with anyone willing to hear them. read more

My friend and I were first timers to California and ended up in a sticky situation. We had no ride back to where we needed to go and waited for over 30 mins in this gas station. I apologize because I don't remember their name but the worker in there made us feel so safe even though we were two teenage girls stranded. Stopped by for gas and snacks one afternoon and the chevron representative was extremely unprofessional and rude. At first I walked in and asked politely to use the restroom which he agreed to. Second, got drinks and snacks and gave him my debit card. He ran my card and according to him he ran it as credit, which for some reason it declined. However, the debt card had more than enough funds for the snacks. Perhaps this occurred because he ran it as credit and failed to put my pin number. Non of this frustrated me, what really got to me what was when he yelled at me in front of all the customers behind me "what's wrong with your card, you come to the store without money, get out of here. (He snatched the redbull out of my hand.) How is it that you don't know your pin number for your card". I've worked in convenience stores before and have a lot of experience on how customers should be dealt with. Eventually, I provided the representative with another card and he made it work. Before leaving I asked for his name which he failed to provide "Non of your business" is how he responded. I was furious I just walked away, sat in my car. Five minutes after I see him walk out with his name tag... all of a sudden. I don't have the energy to walk up towards him to capture his name, however, he is a Asian/Hispanic fairly short. read more

Apparently, the mechanic at this shop sucks up to you if you role up in a Ferrari. For the rest of us, this is simply the worst auto mechanic in the history of mankind. Rude, sarcastic and also crap at their jobs, I would rather hand my car over to a class of sugar-crazed Kindergarten students with spanners than trust these fools. Avoid as if the black death had been contracted at this location. read more

At approximately 9:00 am on 12/6/2012 I had accidentally locked my keys in the car. I asked the station attendant (hispanic male) if he happened to have a slim jim or coat hanger I could borrow to get into my car. the attendant came to my car with a coat hanger and told me he would charge me 10 dollars to open my car. at first I told him no and that I could do it myself if he just let me use the hanger (he is obviousy not a professional and I dont want him damaging my car). He had refused and told me that 10 dollars was cheaper than AAA. I eventually told him ok but if you break anything I wont pay. told me he wouldn't do it. and started to walk away. I told him, just loan me the coat hanger and I would do it myself. he told me no, and walked away as he laughed and told me to have fun. Terrible customer service, greedy employees. They give me good advice and options and I feel like I have a big brother watching out for my auto best interests. told the female behind the counter that the air hose didn't work, it deflated my tire, and was there any other air on the premises , she said, no, which turned out to be a lie, since there was air for sale a few feet away, and free air in back in the garage. she was hateful, and rude. when I came back after I got air and asked why she didn't tell me there was air, she said she didn't speak English. hope she gets fired. read more

I guess my greatest sin was being born female. I waited a half an hour before I was even acknowledged. The younger guy had an attitude from the get-go and told me I was probably wrong when I gave my opinion on what I believed was happening since, well...it's my car and I've had problems with it. This Chevron Station located at Trancas Cyn and PCH has one of the best and most knowledgeable mechanics around. His name is Greg Turner. I hesitated taking my FERRARI F40 for a smog test anywhere else other than a official Ferrari dealer, which was inconvenient and time consuming for me - a local Malibu resident. So, I brought the car to Greg and...surprise! He was able to smog the car! This was totally unexpected. And, at a fraction of the dealer's cost to boot. I have now brought to Greg my supercharged 8.3 Yukon XL to identify the reason for the uneven hard acceleration. It took Greg a short drive to suggest that the cause is misfiring spark plugs - something the Martin GMC/Cadillac dealer in WLA was not able to find during a rather prolonged six-week visit and after I paid them close to a thousand dollars for really nothing. I am a very experienced car guy and have been around cars and mechanics for most of my life. I can tell with certainty after having burned lots of gas on Laguna Seca raceway and many others that Greg is a quiet, very knowledgeable and confident mechanic with more than 30 years experience. He will remain our mechanic for all of our cars for as long as he remains in the area. The Chevron Station is lucky to have him on board and if you are in need and close to the station - so are you. I've been a customer for 12 years and for most of those years I've tried very hard to be friendly and ignored their surly attitude, but not after being yelled at today. Even though they're very close to home, I've made arrangements with a service garage miles away to do my maintenance, one that shows professionalism and respect for their customers. Chevron - THEY SCAM YOU AT THE PUMP! - Gas Stations Near Me - Malibu, California

Ouch!!! This station is closest to my home. For the past 2 1/2 years I bring both my cars here, usually 2-3 full fill-ups per week. Plus I purchase small incidentals here. Today I noticed I was low in air in a tire. I went inside and asked the female clerk to turn it on. She said, ok. I said, thank you. I went outside to the air machine, took off my four valve stem covers & waited...& waited. Felt that 5 minutes of waiting was patient enough. Walked to the mechanic service bay. Saw a male clerk and asked him to please turn it on. He said, oh yeah, go ahead now. I said, thank you. Though irritated inside I was pleasant & congenial. I waited 10 more minutes. (Yes, I kept checking the system periodically) I just left with 1 dramatically low tire and 3 others that need air as well. I easily spend $200 per week here. For the past 27 months I have spent over $25,000 here. Both of said clerks I have done business with amicably on numerous occasions. You just lost my business. I've heard others complain about this station and I've always defended. Now, I understand. read more
