I had something popping out from my side panel on the driver side and have been lagging to take it to the dealer to get it fix but when i went in to get my oil changed, they fixed it for me without even asking me! Gas is by Chevron, so it's a good ten cents higher than what's across the street or even a block up at Rainbow. Convenience store is small, cramped, and dirty. Terrible is a way to describe this locations car wash services. They've gone downhill these past few years. Service used to be amazing like 5 yrs ago. Just watching them try to polish is gut wrenching. 3 yrs. I had one of there guys completely disrespect me Infront of other customers and i was pregnant, all the Manager did was laugh at me behind my back when I left. Wish I would had called corporate but I was so shocked I didn't know what to do. I'm here again thinking maybe things are better but still a disappointing experience. I love this place and their prices. If you go here with the proper expectations you'll be happy. Do not go here expecting a $60 detail job for $25. Exterior - nice and clean! You can purchase different packages for your needs. I think the most expensive one is around $30 gets you everything. My rims on my Range Rover are always filthy and they manage to always get them clean!! Interior - Fair job. They are honest with you up front if there is some thing they know they can't get clean (example, and entire dog on your carpet ). Small areas they tend to miss like curves and corners around your cup holders. In closing, I've been going here for years and I won't stop. Great deal for what they charge. read more

Went for the car wash on a recommendation of a friend... really lives up to the name "terrible." Will not be going back. Went for the Gold Mine service to clean my car, they did a terrible job. Sticky stuff in my cup holders. And it's like they didn't even vacuum. I had a little spot on one of my seats and they said they don't have anything to get it out. I would've rather paid $100 elsewhere than the $33 I paid. This service was worth like $10. read more

OMG. Stopped to get gas this morning and didnt realize until we started pumping gas but there was a horrible smell and liquid on the pavement. Other customers were complaining too. Husband says it was probably a gray water spill from an RV. It was so bad it smelled pur vehicle up and we had to take our flip flops off before going in our house and sanitize them in the washing machine. OIL CHANGE SCAM! I'm a bit behind on posting this review. I have been going to Terrible's over the years and I'm not sure why. Every visit I'm given bad news about my car. In the past, I had crappy cars, so anytime I was told I needed an extra service or repair, I took their word and went for it Back in November, I took my new car (to me) in for an oil change before heading on a Thanksgiving road trip. I picked a good day because I got right in. Every time I sit in a Terrible's lobby I feel the anxiety kick in. What are they going to find wrong and how much am I going to pay? Sure enough, the grease monkey asked me to come out to see whatever he believed to be wrong with my car. He showed me that my front brake pads needed replacement. I had just replaced them in August when I bought the car, so I was skeptical. I told him I believed he was wrong and he seemed taken aback that I would argue with him over it. He quoted me $650 in parts and labor. I told him I'd let him know but that I wasn't going to do the work that visit. He said he didn't recommend I drive on them but gave me his business card so I could schedule a time for the repairs. Since I was leaving for a road trip of 900 miles in a few days, I took my car for a second opinion. I did not tell the new mechanic of any known issues, simply asked for a basic brake inspection. About 40 minutes later, I was told that the brakes, front and back, were in great condition and no repairs were needed. I called the guy at Terrible's and let him know if not be returning for a brake job or any future oil changes either. read more

*Don't blame the clerks for a Terrible policy Terrible Herbst Oil Co. has adopted the bizarre policy of carding everyone who buys alcohol. Every time. If you frequent the store, you will still be carded. If you are 100 years old and shuffle in with the aid of a walker, you will be carded. Every time. I sent an email to the company informing them that I will avoid shopping there because the procedure is idiotic. Naturally, I didn't receive a reply. I have mostly made good on my threat. I go to Rebel and 7-Eleven as often as possible. Sometimes, however, it is convenient to stop at my nearby Terrible's. I always have a smart remark about the silly policy. The poor clerks have heard it all 1000x. A very nice young clerk told me that customers actually get mad. Please don't take it out on the poor clerks. I have had my car smogged at this location several times. It's always quick & easy. They have the no pass/no pay policy. One time they offered a special on cheap car washes. I pulled into the wrong line. How was I to know? It caused a huge hassle. Finally, I got my wash. Your car is sent through the machine. That's it. The guys don't wipe it down. Nothing. I felt that even at the bargain rate the wash still was not worth it. read more

This is the second time in the last month that I've had an issue while having my vehicle washed. First time, was initially when I drove up to have a worker vacuum the inside of my vehicle; he didn't do a good job. The second time, for not brushing down the wheels before putting the vehicle through the wash. Both times I said something to the white haired older manager about these problems but he seems annoyed at being bothered with my complaints. He did finally do what's necessary to correct the problem but I had to raising my tone of voice to get him to act on my request. Don't use this Terrible Herbst for washing a vehicle. They get a star because they did get my oil changed.thats it .the kid up top was sloppy and untrained. Finger prints all over my truck . Worse yet the work was almost done and another kid came by and put the no scratch blankets on that were covered in oil. They left their oily mark as well. I got scammed. Came here for gas, but when I got home, I notice my tank was still showing up empty. I came back the next day to complain, but the clerk just blatantly accused my meter being broken. So I got gas from a different place, and would you know it, my gas meter is perfectly working. What's weird about it, is that the night clerk was eyeing me intently the when I got gas (the night before), kinda like he knew something. Half his body was out the window, which was weird, since all they do it sit inside their booth lol. I found it extremely creepy so I avoided eye contact. I thought to myself that if there was some serious issue, he would get out and tell me. Thinking about it now, the other pumps had "out of order signs", maybe there was a chance that my pump (#8) had a sign too but fell off? Lucky me? Who knows. And to be fair, it was a different clerk in the morning when I came back there to complain, and he knew nothing about last night. BUT! Without hesitation gentleman who handle my original transaction ran my car through the washer again and had a different team of guys complete the finishing touches. Basic.. don't upgrade it's not worth it. Fine for a $9 quick stop and wash off I guess but it's only nominally better than a drive-through car wash. Last several visits I paid the upgrade cost for the interior that is double the cost of the basic and both times the inside of my car still looks like garbage! Every time I come to any terrible s I'm told my car has all these leaks and problems.. Then when I take my car to my trusted mechanic of 14 years.. He tells me they are crazy and the problems don't exist. And the up selling drives me nuts! If synthetic oil is better for the heat.. Why not make that the standard since we live in the desert? I usually only run my car through a self drive through car wash and do the inside myself. I had to drive back over to the vacuum area so that they could vacuum it right because they missed a lot of garbage you had to be blind not to see it. Then I had to come back over to the drying area. Had to ask for them to wipe down a ton of stuff on the doors that you had to be blind not to see as well. $25 for the wash vacuum and inside wipe down + a $5 tip. I shouldn't have to point it out especially because I'm not a stickler but come on....really? One job, wash and clean the inside of my car. When I walk out to get my car I have the tip ready to go because my car should be ready to go. It wasn't. If you wash cars or run a business just have pride in your work because you never know what opportunities could have been right in front of you watching. read more

I have been coming here for awhile to get my oil changes and I will continue to do so. I really enjoy the cleanliness of the sitting area and the staff in the Oil Change area is always very friendly. I really appreciate their honesty, my oil filters weren't quite ready to be changed and instead of trying to sell me new ones the attendant said I could wait on them. I've never had a problem or felt I was over charged when coming here. My car uses synthetic oil so my oil changes are always more expensive. I've had my oil changed once at Jiffy Lube and I'll never go back, I only trust this location to service my car!! read more
